Booked it in on october 3, and havent seen the van since. I was twice told that the van repairs were approved by new age, and that we’d get the van back by christmas, three months after we dropped it off. We discovered that the van repairs had not even been started by christmas.Allegedly it was started on monday this week. (Late jan 2025) We are still totally in the dark. No idea if the van repairs have commenced. On the day that we dropped the van off last year, we spotted a new van and asked for a changeover price… we never heard back. After this treatment, and the fact that after nearly four months without it, we cant think of any reason why we would ever buy from new age ever again . These guys have destroyed so much goodwill that it has become a bad joke This whole sorry saga has been referred to consumer affairs

AUX wired on trailer plug – When looking at the trailer plug, what is the black AUX pin wired too? As the cable runs through the chassis I can't trace it properly. I need to run a alternator trigger for the DC-DC charger and was hoping to tap into something pre-existing.

Hi Customer service

Looking for guidance for this surprising issue on our New Van

I expected Taillights in the 1960-80’s to fill up with water – but a new leader van in 2026 to have taillights fill with water while parked out the front of our home ! really

1. What is the root course 2. Can you guarantee NO internal leakage to timer frame 3. Is the water tracking down electrical cables and can you guarantee no person and Van Risk on going fire or Water damage. 4. How do we proceed to resolve this issue ( warranty form) or other

Surely this is fundamental quality control issue.

We want to use the Van ASAP

Is it safe

How do we get it fixed

Thanks I hope you understand and I’m sure a $80K+ car would not have these same issue……………

bought a cover for the van but in doing this the battery goes flat and you can’t recharge it,the second problem the top door bolt came off in my hand, small screws into wood to hold a door fastener? The tinted window covers warp and will not open. The next problems were when we went onto dirt tracks, nothing too severe, and when we arrived at our destination and opened the door the table and pole support had all fallen onto the floor and taken the tracking with it,again screws far too small, and the fridge door had come open and floor was quite a mess as you can imagine. Oh and the radio stopped working and the lining on the roof is bubbling (water leaking)? The Van is a pleasure to tow it just seems to me is the little things have been left neglected and it’s the little things that get you found out in an off road camper,it’s a shame because with a little more attention to detail this would be a cracking little van. Great little camper!! – For a small camper it suits myself and wife perfectly. Once levelled takes 5 minutes to set up. Been on two weekend trips so far and had no issues,… Read more

bar the smoke alarm going off when cooking some toast (without the smoke). Purchased from the Golf supercenter in Burpengary and so far have been happy with after sales performance. Had a couple of things we needed fixed and done as soon as could be fitted in. Couldn't book in for the 1000km service before we go on our red center trip so they advised me of another caravan repair shop they recommend to service it. So, it's small, light and easy to set up and it has won us over. Just an update on the 8/12/22

We have done our trip to the red centre via the Plenty hwy to the West MacDonnell ranges, Kings Canyon and Uluru, then home via Coober Pedy, Broken Hill, Wilcannia and Lightning Ridge. 6500kms with approx 900kms on gravel, dirt, bulldust and corrigations. After sealing the door vent we had bugger all dust ingress, bugger all damage, just a electric brake wire was hit by stones and snapped (easy fix), and some other stone damage to the grey water outlet and one reflector. Suspension, tyres lights and everything else is spot on. We did find a few minor issues with the trailer but once we got in contact with The Golf Supercentre at Burpengary all was fixed no worries. Next trip will be to north Qld and the cape. So I have now updated scores as well. If a small van/camper trailer is what you are after, I can highly recommend this one. Update 2. Done nth qld, Atherton, Daintree and the Cape. On road it is still a dream to tow, off road it follows beautifully. We travelled the Bloomfield track, Battecamp Rd and the PDR and Bamaga rd's to tow it to Seiseawere we stayed for a few nights. We got some minor damage eg, 4 plastic cupboard locks broke, and the table fell off when I hit a wash out to hard. All was fixed by dealer when it got booked in. There were no shock leaks and structurally it is still strong. Also took it over to Moreton Island for 5 nights and in the sand it was OK to pull behind the Ranger. As it is a touch wider than the car, one trailer wheel stayed in the car track and the other made its own track. With a battery upgrade to lithium we had no problems with power and half a gas bottle ran the fridge for that time with some left over. Still loving it.

Gibb River track, Cape York and a 40,000 outback road trip around Australia. The only notable visible movement in panel work was the internal roof at the first joint where the roof met the final front sloped panel. The extreme corrugations with the roof vent and tv aerial weight caused some flex over time on extreme corrugations. No leaks but a little paint peeling and ply movement, addressed by injecting Gorilla Glue then clamping pressure upwards. Sealed with white silicone via paddle pop stick application. Paint touch up with spectrometer matched paint. Totally fixed and can flex more readily without evidence. Bed so comfy, the lounge is wonderful and just love the layout. Tows superbly, we sit on 95 to 100kph under most conditions, van is as stable as.

Built to fail – In 2021 we bought a 6 month old Golf 390 Savannah Maxxi from a couple who had used it for a two week holiday in a caravan park. It was so new the… Read more

plastic was still on the stove, outdoor shower and the toilet had never been used nor had the awning. We picked it up and on the way home it poured raining, the air conditioning leaked. We didn't think much about it but then the problem became worse. Soon the back push up bar screws fell out. When this area of the roof was pressed it was soft. Nothing we did helped. Then we noticed a sag in the roof around the air conditioning. We contacted Golf and were told it may need a new roof. We were not under warranty because the van was second hand. It is now getting a new roof put on by a private caravan repairer. His words when he saw the workmanship of this caravan were disgraceful, lazy, cheap, built to fail. The air conditioning had no support and so bounced around whenever it was driven. Highway driving was dangerous much less off road, which is what this caravan is sold as. The van roof was pooling 5 cm of water each time it rained. Up shot is the roof of the van was mush when it came off. The water was pouring through the shower and air conditioning each time it rained. We are now fixing the roof of a 2 and half year old van. Ridiculous! We have also replaced the struts which hold up the bedroom because they were put in upside down, according to the strut manufacturer, no wonder the bedroom was sagging. Golf should be ashamed of their product. It is such a shame, we love our little van, with more care and attention to detail and a little accountability this could have been a great review. Our van is getting repaired by a fantastic repairer who takes pride in his work, doesn't take short cuts and it's thanks to him we will have a terrific van, no thanks to Golf. There needs to be a caravan standard. Golf have a long way to go to meet a basic standard of workmanship

Ultimate camper !! – We bought an exodus 16 last year. I read all the reviews good and bad. It has been way better that we expected. The build quaility is fantastic.… Read more

These units are build with the campers needs in mind and the experience of complete campsite shines through. It is such a shame to read the poor reviews when you are looking to buy something. In the case of the exodus people posting poor reviews must be born wingers or competitors trying to knock their brand. We had some very small issues which were sorted out with no fuss and no stress. There is nothing on the market built to this standard if you want quality look out for an exodus.

is plenty of room for a single bike rack on the drawbar. Had it for three years now and towed in along the Birdsville. Oodnadatta and Strezlecci tracks behind our Forester We have the same problem as everyone we speak to and that is sagging canvas. Just can't get rid of creases down the sidewalls no matter how many times we have tried to reset it. Best advice is just live with it. When camped with the awning erected always use guy ropes on the other side. We feel the internal awning framework a waist of time as it pitches just as well without it. All in all we a quite happy and love taking it away. Can set up in about 20 minutes but double that if you add the awning,,.

we had problems with the fridge (wouldn't work on electricity, only gas). Took it to an expert who ascertained that the wiring had been done incorrectly originally (even though it stated that it had been checked before we took it. hype that these Hybrid campers get. I have camped in hot weather at Christmas, storms at Whyalla & Melrose over Easter and freezing weather in Farina over the long weekend. Underground Bakery is great. Due to the insulated sides I haven't needed any cooling or heating. The windows (sides & roof skirt) give great ventilation in all weathers. Love the two piece door with screen door. There is plenty of storage inside and outside. The cruise master suspension works a treat even though the light weight. The best thing is the light weight and off road ability. On the way back from Melrose I took the Bridle Track and soon found the track much harder than I remembered! However the Exodus just laughed it off cruising behind and not imposing any stress on the vehicle. Can't wait to get back to the Victorian high country.

Hard to find but well worth the hunt.

Bad Design (2018 Model Supreme Territory Offroad) – I collected my Supreme Territory on Friday the 11th Jan 2019 and immediately drove it about 400km on sealed roads to home. Faults / problems so far… Read more

are:

1) During the drive one of the LED reading lamps fell apart and was dangling on the wall on arrival.

2) I went to open the left hand top cupboard in the shower area and it opened onto the window frame, so I only had about two inches of opening and the cupboard was unusable.

3) I went to open the front left outside storage area (being metal box on the front of the Territory) and it would not open as it is hinged and hits the stone guard immediately (the stone guard has to be removed completely every time you go to use that storage area, very inconventient).

4) The foam section provided to convert the dining table into a third bed is not secured in any way and amost immediatelty falls off the table as soon as you move leaving a massive hole in your "bed".

5) The outdoor fold down table that is mounted to the outside of the caravan is very flimsy.

I wrote to Supreme Caravans asking for remedy and have had no response. I went back to the dealer and they gave me a replacement LED reading light and promised to call with the name of an agent to install it, but have heard nothing. On a $75K caravan, this kind of design issues is unacceptable.

On the plus side:

1) The amount of internal storage is excellent (even with the unusable cupboard), both inside and outside.

2) The fridge and freezer are huge.

3) Water storage is excellent (two tanks).

4) Very good quality matresses on the beds.

5) Good shower pressure and good hot water system.

6) Chassis seems very strong, but having not taken it off road yet I'll reserve judgement on that one.
