My first appointment after joining. My experience was not good at all. It’s been just two weeks since I had a filling and it’s already falling off. Probably I got the wrong clinic/doctor who gives less than 10.% Can anyone recommend a good dentist in the Dandenong/Endeavour Hills surrounding suburbs please. Thanks

I have paid around $700 for the dog to chew when it had dropped out of my mouth in bed. Too expensive just to have it destroyed

Any rough idea what a new Hollywood smile is going to set me back ?

I’m closing on 40 now and it’s time to spend some money on myself…starting with a brand new professional smile.

Can anyone give me a rough +- ?

Hi! Just wondering why your product has so many incentivized (only 700 reviews on here are not incentivised, of 2600) and why you need to offer people incentives to review your service. Surely your product should speak for itself? Your reviews on here are incredibly misleading and you have thousands more reviews than even huge major retailers like Amazon. Also what are your incentives that you offer for reviews? Asking for a friend. :)

smile.com.au
smile.com.au   DM

Hi, Cbones! We hope you’re well. You may inform your friend that as part of our member rewards program which was launched a few years ago, we provide member rewards for reviews whether they are good or bad.

Reward points offer discounts on the next renewal fee of existing members and members that have accumulated 1000 points actually receive a free year of dental cover which is awesome!

Providing member rewards is a matter of us wanting to give back more benefits to our members. It is also entirely optional for them to leave a review.

We cannot speak for other companies that have not gotten as many reviews (Amazon also has their own rating system for each seller and product on their own website). However, as for the number of reviews we currently have, we are grateful to our large member base that have either shown their support and voiced the great benefits they receive with smile.com.au dental cover, or have provided feedback on how we can continually improve our service.

We hope this answers your question, Cbones!

Have a lovely day!

Hi. I know, it doesn't look good if reviews are incentivised but if they are honest then I feel that's ok. People are lazy and often need a reason to do more than the required minimum. In this case it's worth 2.5% off the rejoin fee. Smile offers its members discounts for completing a number of tasks and functions relating to their membership, this is just one of them. I'm a Smile member and I'm very happy with the value for money I get from my membership. I've been a member since 2019 and have saved hundreds off dentist fees. If you decide to join, you can use this link to get a 40% discount on your joining fee. Cheers. external link

I have private health insurance but the gap for dental is still high. It was difficult to get a straight answer from Smile as to whether their plan would cover give me any additional savings on top of my health fund rebate. Just wondering if anyone has any answers.

Mal Bourne
Mal Bourne

That's something you need to ask your insurer. Explain the situation to them. Ask them if you can claim on dental fees that have been discounted. Personally, I can't see why not. If your dentist is a participant of smile, they may be able to answer your question.

Ray
Ray

How do I know that the savings you state are real?

Mal Bourne
Mal Bourne

They are real Ray. All you have to do is find a participating dentist if it's not already your own and ask them how much would you pay for certain procedures with and without a Smile membership. Also you would want to ask a non participating dentist what they would charge for the same procedures. A good place to start is regular fillings and the six monthly clean.
