Great service and professionalism – Kylie (dental hygienist) does a great job, have been seeing Kylie for the last 10 years and always feel great when I leave, makes going to the dentist a pleasure instead of a chore.....explains everything when required and does a great clean
No apology – I am a 75 year old aged pensioner. On July 2023, I had a dental procedure at the Bupa dental clinic, Mayfield, NSW. Due to a misdiagnosis, I had to undergo a 2nd procedure after 2 weeks. dentist. The 2 weeks awaiting extraction was a time of suffering. The dentist charged me $893.30. He clearly failed to exercise due diligence. I submitted a complaint and after 3 1/2 months they refunded $ 246. I also requested an apology from the Dentist. A staff at the clinic confided"not to hold my breath". As of 19th February 2025, no apology forthcoming.
Crown work – Dr Swati Bedi at Castle Hill was professional, efficient, informative, caring, gentle and reassuring. I could'nt have been in better hands today. Sdaly, I've booked more appointments which is my bad luck and not a reflection on my good doctor.

Extremely rude and unprofessional experience. On arrival filled a background check in a rush and then dentist they didn't had time to perform the service and will do their best.
Horrible!!! – BUPA Mt Barker My experience with this practise has been disgraceful. As a matter of principle I declined their demand for a deposit and as a result both my son and I received a letter refusing us service at all their clinics, not that we wanted to continue using their clinic anyway. It was clearly retaliation for calling them out on their callous attitude.
The reschedulig of the appointment was completely unavoidable due to a serious illness requiring hospitalisation for an extended period of time which was then followed by a whooping cough infection making dental treatment impossible.
If it wasn't a priority to complete the root canal, to us at least, then I would have simply cancelled the appointment indefinitely as opposed to rescheduling it.
I was informed by an unsympathetic receptionist that "We are a business first and you are wasting our time." This statement floored me. I'd never met such callous disregard when dealing with a medical professional.
We are now using a professional and caring dentist that prioritises patient needs and is flexible knowing that sometimes things don't always go to plan.
If I could give BUPA Dentist Mt Barker zero stars like they gave us zero empathy then I absolutely would. I am writing this review to warn others and hopefully save them similar contempt and humiliation that we have been subjected to by BUPA Mt Barker.
I fully expect they will once again attempt to justify their position but there is no justification for a selfish, careless attitude toward a vulnerable patient experiencing a very serious and potentially life threatening illness.
Just shameful.

Cheating - Bupa Dental Mortdale – Bupa Dental Mortdale was cheating clients! A few years ago I walked into Bupa Mortdale and asked if they accept HCF insurance cover, and said I wouldn't go there if there was of pocket charge because I could simply go to HCF Hurstville which is free for me. daughter there a few times and indeed the doctor waived the gap fees and I just swiped the HCF card with no out-of-pocket payment. Over a year ago I did the same, however, when I gave my HCF card to the front desk to swipe as usual, the receptionist discovered the card was not the latest version so they couldn't swipe. The doctor suggested me to pay the full fee first and after I claimed from HCF and worked out what the gap is, go back and they'll refund the gap. A month later I went back to get the refund, but the manager completely denied it. She commented in a way as if I was trying to take advantage of them. After she found my record in their system which showed the gap was always waived in the past, she said I have to go in when the doctor is in, so the doctor can verify his promise. The doctor only worked there on Saturdays so I made an appointment, however the centre kept cancelling it again and again. I tried to talk to that manager again but she was only there occasionally and the receptionist refused to tell me the manager's surname. In the end I was too frustrated and gave up. They charged $258 for a 15 min check up on a young kid, and denied a $144 gap refund which they promised. I was tidying up today and came across the paperwork stuck in the drawer and decided to write this review.

Teeth Cleaning at Bupa Dental – I had the pleasure of experiencing an exceptional teeth cleaning at Bupa Dental, 27 Adelaide Street, Brisbane, with Hygienist Deepa Singh. The results were truly unmatched compared to any previous dentists or hygienists I've visited. Deepa's thoroughness left my teeth feeling brand new—completely free of stains and plaque. I can't recommend her enough; she's a straight-up 10/10 for teeth cleaning.

I then take to a BUPA office for quotation. On at least two occasions a $1500 quote would give me a refund of only $200. When I asked why I was told that the dentist was doing work on one day and it should be spread over many days. There was a clash of item numbers on the quote. This happens frequently!! When I apprached the practice manager she feigned ignorance and said she didn't set the rules and besides there were too many policies to understand. I recommend that patients take their quote to a BUPA office for a quotation. The dentists don't know or don't understand the BUPA rules although their sinage says BUPA DENTIST with BUPA logos. I have been told of patients in other practices being ripped off also. You are warned.

Great Job Cairns Bupa Dental – Honestly the BEST visit to a Dentist I have had in 50 years… from start to finish was outstanding customer service and very patient with the needle and work - never felt more looked after - thanks guys really appreciate the effort
AMAZING FRIENDLY SERVICE – These guys are great! I’m not the biggest fan of the dentist but they made me feel comfortable over 3 visits and got the job done. The high tech imagery means they can show you what you need done and are very transparent with what I would pay out of pocket. Highly recommend

fluoride treatment, there was no payment as we are both BUPA members. Dr Synott noted that I had a cracked filling which I was aware of and booked me in for a later appointment to have it treated. This was done today, and the end result was spectacular. I knew that the tooth that need the new filling was no longer straight, Hannah corrected this and it is great to look in a mirror and see that all my teeth are now straight.
The treatment went longer than expected and there was a small out of pocket payment, but the result was well worth it.
Unnecessary – I booked for consultation and bite X-ray First the dentist and the helping person was unhappy that I won’t be doing the cleaning. The lady said Why did I stay if there was no cleaning. I didn’t book for cleaning Mam ! They took additional opg or some more X-ray to cover their expense— this was really unnecessary. They said wanna check my wisdom… Read more

upset about as she has the same diet and brushes the same as the rest of the family. My husband was told two holes and he went back to have the fillings done with her. At that visit we were told there were several more holes. On the third visit my daughter started getting restless and they recommended a paediatric dentist. We went to P.Y.Lai and they said my daughter had excess acid reflux which had removed a lot of her enamel causing the holes. She ended up going under general and had 5 molars removed due to infections and had 3 crowns on the others. We are devastated that we weren’t told about this problem in January. I emailed Rosalie bupa and explained what had happened and that they had done fillings on molars that were now removed and the responses took over 2 weeks and they really didn’t seem to care. Their response was the enamel issue was in the dentists notes. Unfortunately communication was quite poor and It has been a very expensive miscommunication for us. We will not be back.

Professional, friendly and safe – Such a fantastic dental practice. They are so professional but still friendly. Definitely know there business. I've been getting a lot of work done, but never any problem with any of the jobs, from fillings to a crown. Brilliant!

I'm smiling – Yay to Ashley Broughton, my dentist at Narellan. After two difficult procedures were handled with utmost competence, I am completely satisfied. Ashley kept me informed about the procedures as he worked, and took his time to make sure it was a pleasing result. The icing on the cake: I was charged a very reasonable fee. Too expensive – It is too expensive and revists have higher charges and different fix than what was actually quoted and booked. Will never go again. Had expected better services and nominal prices because of brand . Would not recommend to anyone

only dentist I could find open was BUPA Dental in Hobart. They not only fitted me in for an emergency consultation, they provided a long-term solution to the problem using a bone graft and treated me quickly and effectively over the following week. I have been impressed by the efficiency of the treatment and their use of cutting edge technology, as well as the friendliness of staff and the immaculate surgery. This practice is now my regular dentist.
Untrustworthy! – Conflict of interest. They are the providers of Insurance and also providers of dental services. They dictate to the dentists what services to do and what not to do to benefit the organisation. Absolutely cheating the gullible public. The Bupa dentists are slaves to the lords, hence all inexperienced new graduates are part of their clinics. AHPRA is turning a blind eye to this abuse of power. Shame on them.
