he’s been easy to contact, and he’s always kept us updated on what was happening on site and what to expect next.
We’ve also engaged an independent building inspector at each stage of the build. Any items they have raised have been addressed promptly, and there have been no major issues identified, which has given us a lot of confidence in the quality of the build.
There was one delay with a window upgrade that took longer than expected to be finalised, but once it was identified it was sorted out quickly and the build continued moving forward.
The trades on site have been professional, the workmanship has looked good throughout, and the build has been progressing smoothly. Overall we’ve had a very positive experience with Metricon and are excited to see the final stages come together.

Every person we dealt with, from sales, to on line and over the phone were extremely attentive to our requirements and nothing was ever a difficulty. Site Manager - [Name Removed]: Is an excellent Site Manager. He took the time to write markups from my Independent Inspector's report, provides photos of completed items, or notes on when it gets completed. He is great at explaining what is happening and putting everything in context of the timeline. He is easy to get a hold off and has great input for future landscaping tasks as well.
Metricon's reverse build process means that tasks in later stages are being done earlier, so even if there are delays with an immediate stage, it does not affect the completion date. If anything, the build appears to be going faster than anticipated.

*Construction - Great Site Supervisor. Provides weekly updates. I also hired a private inspector and Site Supervisor has been good at responding to all issues raised by inspector. So far 5 out of 5 positive experience with 70% of construction yet to go.
Follow-up · Review Since Move in Urgent Repairs/Service issues were addressed in a timely manner. Any issues (damages or imperfection) not picked up in Handover is not addressed at all. Ensure you do as much as you can to pick issues before hand over. Everything later becomes we don't know when that happened or if we (builder) caused it. Overall good experience.

Our Studio M appointment was a highlight during pre-construction. The consultant we worked with was knowledgeable, professional, and very clear about what products and options were available within our build.
One of the biggest stresses during pre-construction was the timing. Council took around 8 months to approve our DA, and with the 12-month contract signing deadline approaching, we were concerned about potential price increases. We ended up paying an additional fee to extend the lock-in pricing period while waiting for everything to be finalised.
Thankfully, once construction started, the experience improved dramatically. The build moved very quickly and our Site Manager was excellent. We couldn't ask for better. He kept the project moving, communicated well, and always acted on any concerns we raised. The original build timeframe was 12 months, but the house was completed in just 9 months.
We also engaged an independent inspector throughout the various construction stages. Our Site Manager was very receptive to the inspector’s feedback and addressed the vast majority of the items raised — around 9 out of 10 issues were rectified without hassle.
Overall, while the pre-construction process could definitely be improved, the construction phase itself was smooth, efficient, and professionally managed. In the end, we’re happy with the outcome and the quality of the build.
