high-quality finish based on their branding and pricing. That’s not what I experienced.

The consistent issue throughout the build was poor workmanship and lack of attention to detail. It became clear that the trades engaged on site were not operating at the level you would expect for a builder positioned as “premium.”

A clear example is the plumbing work. The hot water system and booster were installed in a location that restricted access and made no practical sense. There was an obvious better placement available, yet it wasn’t used. I had this reviewed and corrected by another licensed plumber, who relocated it properly at my own cost. That alone speaks to the standard of the original work.

Beyond that: • Multiple finishing defects picked up post-handover • Issues only addressed after follow-ups • Quality control appears inconsistent • You are left double-checking work that should already meet standard

This isn’t about one isolated mistake it reflects a broader issue with oversight and trade quality.

When you are paying premium build prices, you expect competent planning, proper execution, and minimal rework. That standard was not met.

Overall: Disappointing experience and not aligned with the brand they promote.

Would I build with them again? No. Would I recommend them? Only if you’re prepared to closely monitor every stage and budget for post-build fixes.

up, constantly sending back plans to fix up mistakes made. Excuses were made that they didn't have enough workers when palmed off from person to person. So many misunderstandings. Then when we started to build it started of so great then went downhill from there. I guess it depends what area you are in also to what the trades are like but still you think they would make sure the jobs are done to a good standard. Their number one response to our questions why things weren't done properly was "that's how it's done". Quality of finishes are definitely not great. We had issues with the hot water system in the first couple of months shorting out with no hot water and the fastest they could come was 5 days so we got someone else in lucky we did because it was a shonky wiring job. Gas pipes were also not done properly and leaking. Many many issues with finishes. Regret paying extra to get drawers etc put in robes, terrible handles, they attempted to straighten them so they closed properly but still aren't great. Regret the extra for niche in shower everything falls off the shelf Regret the extra for the mirror sliding doors the paint and silicone finish was terrible A section of the plan was flipped but the doors on storage now no longer open all the way as they hit the bulkhead but they won't fix it because apparently the plan people don't check those things. We asked for small shelves to be put in a book and that was never done Towel rails were hung so the shower door smashes on them instead of moving them over 10cm Paid extra for a smooth transition between inside and the alfresco but far from the pictures we were shown what it would be like Only positive was the build was finished earlier but probably more of a negative because the rushing shows in the finishes Plaster was a positive and tiling is well done but not grout, silicone was terrible, architrave joins were all terrible. Insulation was missing in places, tiles had ground patches. It was stressful and Id never build again, don't choose Brighton unless you know trades are good in your area. Yes they came to attempt to fix things, but never got around to doing it all and the attempts to fix weren't much better. One chap that did come out and did a few repairs was probably the most valuable employee they had, he was well mannered did the job well and cleaned up after himself. Water pressure is bad when 2 showers are running even though all neighbours are fine, hot water takes forever to heat up when tap is turned on. We also paid extra for better carpet which was another regret, it's very noisy to walk on, wakes you up at night if walked on even by a cat

there were photos of each of the selections or a visualiser software, I.e. Photos of kitchens with and without overhead cabinets to show everything that is included in the upgrade. As well as an electrical floor plan so you can select extra GPOs, TV Points or so, knowing what there is and isn't already.

build as everything was handled well by my site supervisor and everything was rectified as needed. I also did not have many delays.

In terms of workmanship and quality, there were some areas lacking. For example my tiles weren’t cut well so there were a lot of rough edges, it was difficult to rectify without causing more damage to the walls and removing other tiles which would have been a bigger job. Caulking were also not the best work with some areas looking uneven and door handles weren’t straight (but apparently that is just how they are). Shower screens also uneven (there was not much the shower screen company could do to rectify this)- mainly bathroom works weren’t the best, everything else however was great.

Currently having some areas awaiting to be rectified as I had just received settlement recently so we will see how good the timing is

With cost, was quite happy with how much everything came to be, the selections of upgrades were quite broad with decent pricing.
