arranged for my car to be assessed the following morning. This morning I took it in for assessment at 9:00am. I have just received notification of the claim being accepted and the car can be booked in for repair. That is terrific service, greatly appreciated and no red tape to deal with.

Sierra was able to provide a better product that AAMI (third party fire and theft with $5k cover for my car (which is enough) at approximately $60 cheaper than AAMI! $60 cheaper sure beats the loyalty tax I was paying with AAMI for the last 4 years. I hope Sierra is provided some commission for her outstanding customer service skills, including being empathetic to my current financial circumstances.

up on just reading online. Her approach was calm, thorough and professional, which made the whole process really smooth.

Coming from a service business myself, I respect that kind of effort. I had my certificate of currency within five minutes and everything just worked the way it should.

On price, it stacked up well too. Even after factoring in the online discount, it ended up 25 dollars a month cheaper than my old policy and included roadside assist.

Because of the service I received, I’ll also be moving my second car policy over to Youi.

tried all the big names, Allianz, QBE, NRMA, Zurich, Budget Direct, Coles, Woolies, AAMI.....all had exorbitant premiums ranging from $1640 to $2400 per year...even with a $1200 excess. Completely by accident, I filled out a quotation from YOUI, and a representative called me. You see, I Googled NRMA, and the search yielded YOUI at the top of the page. It said. "Start a Quote" so I did. Lo and behold, a very pleasant person called, and enquired, "I'm ringing you about an online quotation, may I assist"? Well, after a most engaging conversation, I was given a quotation that was easily the best of the previous bunch. Without giving too much away, it was around $250 under NRMA (the next best), and I'm a 50 year Gold Member! Now I know why my son is with YOUI. Note, photo is my test drive car, but my one comes in a week!

hesitation, chose to go with Youi again. Little did we know that we would need to rely on your services once more! In January, we were involved in an accident that resulted in our caravan being written off. Thankfully, the damage to our car was minimal—a small issue with the bumper where the stone guard had made contact. I was truly impressed with how quickly we received the payout for the caravan and how Youi assisted us with the contents cover, which greatly alleviated some of our stress during this difficult time. Having only one excess for both vehicles, since they were insured with Youi, was another plus!

However, just a week after having our car back, we found ourselves in another unfortunate situation. A young driver merged into us, resulting in yet another claim—only about six weeks after the first accident. Much to my surprise and delight, I spoke to the same consultant, Tim, who had helped me with the first claim. His support and compassion throughout the process were commendable. Tim did an outstanding job arranging tow trucks and managing the logistics for us.

Youi also organized hire cars for both accidents, a process that was seamless and hassle-free. Just a note to self for the future—I must remember not to leave some of my keys in the hire car! However, I did encounter an issue with the first repairer we used. They disconnected my dash cams and did not reconnect them. We later found out about this when I needed footage for the second incident. It was disappointing to hear the repairer blame me rather than accepting responsibility. I would have appreciated a simple acknowledgment of the mistake and reassurance that it wouldn’t happen again. Unfortunately, this experience led us to choose a different repairer for the second incident.

After the write-off of our caravan, we ordered a new one. Since we live in our van while traveling, I was initially disappointed to learn that I wasn't eligible for the travel accommodation aspect of our claim, given that the caravan was our home. Thankfully, after appealing, I was granted the benefits, but the $1,000 maximum for accommodations didn’t go very far, especially after losing so much. In the future, I plan to increase our contents coverage, as we need to repurchase many items and take inventory—photographic evidence will certainly help streamline the claiming process! It's important to know what you have, instead of brainstorming on brands/items and invoices for purchase or photographic proof.

My only significant disappointment lies in Youi’s inability to insure our new van due to its high value. I truly wish to insure it with Youi as I value the excellent service I have received, especially during difficult times. Your team has made navigating these experiences much more manageable, and I would love to continue our relationship if possible.

Agent then suggested " why dont we remove some items from your policy so you pay less '

I TOLD HIM " YOUI are fraudsters and promptly hung up

my EXCESS. But BY that point, I was so SICK of dealing with them and my TRUST in them was so broken that I decided to terminate my policy. The EXACT same thing is happening with Youi NOW. The CRAZY part?? It was NOT even a CRASH this time CAUSED by someone ELSE but was INTENTIONAL damage with someone THROWING an object that shattered my REAR WINDSCREEN. This is NOW DAY 2 at the time of writing this and they're STILL saying to me I'll have to pay a FULL $1,225 DESPITE paying my premiums consistently SINCE late 2022...

WHAT is the POINT of paying insurance PREMIUMS monthly for COVERAGE if you are LATER DENIED the actual COVERAGE when you NEED it??? This is the SECOND time and second COMPANY. They also don't train their STAFF in the BASICS of LAW because SIMPLY having TERMS and clauses in your COMPANY PDS does NOT exempt you as an INSURANCE provider from the duty of UTMOST GOOD FAITH and adverse inference under Section 13 of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth).

When I asked ONE of their call center rep's what HER understanding IS of how insurance actually WORKS and pointed out to her that IF you are paying PREMIUMS, you SHOULD be able to make CLAIMS when you NEED it OTHERWISE that defeats the PURPOSE of INSURANCE, she DISPUTED this and said "well, that's just INSURANCE for you!". What an IGNORANT COMMENT! Seriously.

That is NOT "insurance for you" and it SURE as HELL is NOT COVERAGE: it's BY DEFINITION "unjust enrichment" when the company is CHARGING fees WITHOUT providing the BENEFIT paid for. Common SENSE is actually involved here when applying the LAW. What a CONCEPT, huh...

phone, I was told that “based on new information” my premium would now actually be $1,000 more than last year. The reasoning? Because, according to their calculations of where I live and work, I drive on main roads that “have frequent accidents.” In other words, I’m being punished simply for commuting like any normal person, even though I have a spotless record and zero claims. I don’t even live in the CBD – I’m in the suburbs.

The only positive was the person I spoke with. She was lovely, and even she admitted the increase was insane. She had no real answer for me and honestly said it might be better to just move on. That says it all.

I’ve completely lost trust in Youi. If their own staff can’t justify the premium hike, how can customers? I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, and I’d warn anyone thinking about joining them: don’t be surprised if your premiums skyrocket for reasons that make no sense. Maybe the reason they’re so expensive is because they spend so much money on commercials bragging about how much they “save” people

Be very careful with this company. I was insured with them for 2 years full insurance, always paid on time. Two months ago, someone rear-ended my car — clearly not my fault. yes, wrapping was covered. Because is there fault they don’t even email me saying that wrapping is included I had to find out by calling them.

Then they said they’d only repair the rear bumper and asked me to get quotes for the vinyl wrap. My car has a custom printed wrap, so the quote for full wrap replacement came to over $6,000plus and $1,800plus for rear only. They then refused to pay, saying the cost was “unreasonable.” When I purchased my car, I spent around $8,000 just on the wrapping.

I was ready to take legal action. After two months of back and forth, they finally agreed to cash settle only for the rear wrapping, so now I’m driving a car with mismatched panels and paying out of pocket to re-wrap the entire vehicle to get it back to original condition. I wanted them to repair my car into original condition or give me cash settle for entire cost. By the way they still haven’t even refund me my uber cost.

Very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone, we pay money for a reason, staff need more training. They wasted my time for no reason, something could have been handle better.

They gave me anxiety and mental stress, please be careful choosing them.

Youi and check their offer especially after seeing the ads on television re potential savings for customers and all I can say is do NOT believe their comments as I found that Budget Direct is over $300 dearer for comprehensive insurance to our car and will not offer any quotation for home and contents insurance for homes in Altona claiming flood prone. Budget Direct in its negotiated offer incorporated all of the options we sought for our car including other drivers, a minimal cost for glass surcharge of $40, and included roadside assist in the quote. I excluded all/any drivers under the age of 25 and have an included option of driving lower kilometers which is reported to Budget Direct when requested. The online offer by Youi did not offer any details of insured comprehensive cover, excesses and /or any other information and so was returned as an "offer" with no feedback

adjust a few things to see if that would change monthly fee , my insurance is $82 per month and the fee only dropped by $2 however at the end of the call my policy jumped to $89 when , I questioned as to why my policy increased she then proceeded to blame the mechanics for their increased charges . Yawn then she went to tell me that the policy includes road side assist when then I kindly informed her that this isn’t true Youi only offers two road side assist that’s all . By this time I had enough and canceled the policy .

basic excess and my glass excess were both raised significantly without a clear explanation. When I called to discuss this, I couldn't get a straight answer and was instead offered a small $50 discount. Be aware that Youi may set your policy to "automatically renew" without explicit verbal confirmation. Cancelling the renewal was not a simple request. I felt pressured to justify my decision and had to sit through a high-pressure retention script to stop the policy. You cannot get a simple quote online; they force you to provide a phone number so their sales team can call you.

My Advice: Please read your renewal documents carefully! Shop around every single year. Do not assume your coverage stays the same just because you are a loyal customer. Read the fine print on your excess amounts, and don't be afraid to stand your ground if you want to cancel.

got the hose turned on maximum pressure, folded the hose end as I ran back, opened the door and it burst into flames. I released the hose fold, hitting it with Max Pressure stopping the flames for 8 secs, then more flames 2 more blasts of water and it did not restart. And we still have our house. So this now, 3 days later I get a call from Youi, That the bank has not paid our car insurance And thats all I need, she said! Calm down we can fix this, there are ways we can help and we will. I gave her the New credit card number, as we had, had; had an attempted scam by someone in Nebraska USA. Where we have never been. Only trip to the US was 2013. knowledgeable, she could answer every query immediately. And now I have a very comprehensive car insurance cover, saving me nearly $600, from my other "roll-over" quote. This is much more savings, than even the 10% Loyalty bonus, offered by my previous insurer. I am so glad I finally made the effort to research , rather than accept annual renewals, with my other insurer. As recommended by Ciara, I compared various insurers on Trust Pilot, and YOUI Insurance came out on top, while a couple of others I see advertised regularly, did not come out well at all. A real eye opener! Thankyou, Ciara, for all your help, and Youi. I will be rolling over other insurances, as they become due.

Enter all the details they asked online but they called me then go through entire questionnaire again which I politely declined and asked for the price for what i entered. They just hung up. Despite having entered all of my details on line they refused to give a quote unless I gave these details again although I had no guarantee the person I was speaking to (they called me) was YOUI.
