The consultant was friendly and professional down the phone and helped with a car quote - as my insurance renewal had increased nearly $300. - without claim (Cost of inflation was the excuse given by the other company). didn't finish the process for another 20 minutes so that emailed quote was a waste. Last year this process caught me unawares and I ended up with a product which was not what I had thought I was agreeing-to, a quote which I had rejected 2 days earlier. It was only when I received and checked my Visa Statement weeks later that I found I had paid hundreds more that I had expected. So this year I did all the steps in one session, doing screen shots of every step, making sure that I was agreeing to the conditions that I wanted (ie Agreed Value of what I considered fair, and pay-as-you-drive). This year I checked that the payment amount was correct. I do agree it is now good value, it wasn't easy to set up because it didn't seem to want to default to the pay-as-you drive option after choosing that option. I have only been with Australian Seniors for 1 year.
Follow-up · When I filled in the on-line form for the Pay-as-you-drive policy, I inserted the actual Odo reading at that time. I forgot to advise them of the revised reading before the policy came into effect. Their wording clearly states to update the reading BEFORE the policy comes into effect so it was my fault. Follow-up · I had been with the two largest insurers for years & paid their ever increasing high premiums. I swapped to Seniors Insurance as they had great reviews , cheaper premiums & so far it has all gone very smoothly.

Incompetent...i have spoken on at least 5 occasions for a hard copy of the pds to be sent out. Apparently this is beyond their ability. Apparently numerous notes have been placed advising that i have requested this...all to no avail. I was sent a digital copy but reading a 54 page document on a mobile is not terrible useful. Extremely poor service and a deeply frustrating experience. I lodged a claim in November 2023 and, months later, I am still waiting for any meaningful progress or clear next steps. Every attempt to contact Australian Seniors results in being transferred between departments, only to be placed back into the same loop. Calls regularly take over an… Read more
hour and achieve absolutely nothing.
To make matters worse, I was only recently informed that my policy had been cancelled in June 2025, without any direct notification whatsoever. Australian Seniors claim they communicated this, yet there is no evidence or documentation on file to support that claim. I was also told that my correspondence method was changed to postal mail without my consent.
On top of all this, my vehicle was deemed “un-insurable” by their underwriting team without sufficient evidence or explanation. The lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer service is unacceptable.
This has been one of the worst insurance experiences I have had. I would strongly caution others before dealing with Australian Seniors.

very patient staff member ( as I am deaf) & find phone conversatations difficult. At 87 I,m no longer doing any long trips - only need to get food weekly. The call-taker (Sandra) was very knowledgable about the intended insurance product; she gave clear answers to questions which, ultimately, enabled me (with her assistance) to conclude to the quote process resulting in insurance coverage for my vehicle.
