Absolutely 10/10 experience with State Roads, cannot recommend them highly enough. A real person answers the phone each and every time you call, the timeline is quick, the costs are reasonable, and the resulting inspection report was beyond thorough. I have to particularly commend Trevor, who did most excellent work. I am extremely impressed with this company and will not only use them again but recommend them to everyone who asks.

If I could rate them 0 I would. I was quoted $379 or so via email. Then was charged $450+. The inspector was late (even though there was a 2 hour window) maybe don’t book so close together if your inspectors are incapable of getting there on time. was none. Didn’t know how to use the gear stick, didn’t try out 4wd (thought if I paid nearly $500 they’d try but no), went to only 30km/hr. Typical of the car to wobble at higher speeds so not sure why he didn’t try (a road with a higher speed was just there) complained and the ‘owner’ was horrible. Calling the car a POS even though the only reason it was marked low was because the inspector wasn’t sure who worked on it/couldn’t analyse the work done (it is an engine swapped car). Biggest waste of money. They’re terrible people all of them. Also made sexist comments saying ‘I’m not trying to be sexist but’ and went on about handling the car. If you have to start a sentence with ‘I’m not trying to be sexist’ then you are. AVOID THEM!!

guys, never have I had a car inspected and did not know what to expect, started off with the reception, answered so quick and was able to tell them my concerns and gave me options that suited my needs quick and easy, they contacted the dealer and dealt with everything after I provided some information the turn around was literally less the 24 hours, the inspector John was very thorough with the inspection detailed and took lots of pictures for me to have a look, provided a detailed certificate called me straight away and explained everything to me and what ever was wrong with the car John had told the dealer to get it sorted which was also confirmed , the team and John made me have a piece of mind and made the whole process smooth, would definitely use again and could not recommend this place enough. If you have doubts with a car trust me nothing beats piece of mind and these guys will deliver.

competitors. It was great that it included a diagnostic scan also, for added peace of mind. I really appreciated the clear yet detailed report I was given, along with the photos. Although I am someone who is in to cars and understands them very well, the way that the report is structured makes the information easily accessible to those who do not know much about cars.

I have no idea about cars and just wanted peace of mind before buying mine, state roads did a great job and were very transparent! Anthony was great to deal with. Highly knowledgable, found faults even the mechanics though were hard to find without being in the workshop. buyer informed me that because the inspector had reported many issues, he would not proceed with the purchase. My car was in roadworthy condition, with a full service history from Subaru, and I firmly believe the State Roads inspector unfairly failed the inspection. As a result, I have lost trust in State Roads and I will never allow state roads to ever inspect my car again in the future.

Don’t use them no value no safety not professionals they steal from Cars – Terrible company, not professional be aware do not use they show up in a normal Car zero safety the inspector has tools from Online Temu. He was a jack in the car. The car slipped down no safety at all do not use he plugged in the scanner and deleted all the files from my car, they are cheap for a reason.
