Great job done by the minor scratches on my car. First appointment was cancelled as the guy who was supposed to do the job was sick, so had to reschedule for 2 weeks later. Overall, was satisfied with the work they have done.

Huge thanks to Steve at Schmick for the incredible job on my iX. He handled the repair with such precision that you'd never know there was ever a mark on it. It’s rare to find such high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. Steve is an absolute asset to the company. Highly recommend his services!"

Last time I ever purchase – After 3 attempts on repairing a scratch on my passenger side pillar on my GTI, and some weeks later, I’m still waiting on a call to complete my repair. I have overspray on the windows and roof and it is full of swirls. Update Feb 25 purchased my new TRoc R. Schmick balance was transferred to this vehicle but wouldn’t let them near it. They never… Read more

completed my repair nor contacted me when I asked to speak to management. So clearly they do not give a fook.

Excellent car and customer service – Excellent service. From the day our car got the scratch, I was worried about the cost. Glad that we had schmick membership - the repair costed minor charges of 50$. They have excellent car repair services. They even washed my car for no additional cost. My car is looking new again.

They refuse to fix my little dent of 3 cm, absolutely contradictory from what their claim on their advertising and brochure. Very late response (in 5 days) once you submit your job request. What a waste of money, don't fall in their trap. Go somewhere else better and stay away from this kind of scamming.

I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from Schmick. Although Simon was great and did his best, the outcome was underwhelming. I had to wait three months for the appointment, only to be told that they couldn't fix the issue due to the 3-coated paint. This raises the question of why they sold me the program in the first place. The… Read more

whole experience felt like a waste of money. However, Simon's professionalism and decision not to charge me the $50 fee were appreciated.

Extremely disappointed. Requested repair of stone chips on bonnet, one with a small dent from stone impact. I specified the paint and described the dent with photos. Took 2 months for the technician to arrive, and an hour later than booked as apparently there is no travel time allowed between jobs. Technician said they don't repair dents on… Read more

bonnets - first I'd heard and not specified anywhere I can see - and that the colour wouldn't match as he only carries a generic white. No preparation, only a dab of paint, so the chip is still there and now more prominent as the paint is wrong. I could have done a berrer job with a tin of model paint. Terrible rip-off and false promotion of services.

I want give 0 star rate if I can. Worise than Terrible. Schmick membership is wasting money at all. I was request fix my scratch on my car, but been rejected as been said it is outside the scope of what can be repaired under your membership. photo can show it is only few mm longer than 6cm. deep scratches. It is disappointing for them to reject work. Also Schmick removed my requirement from APP straight away.

I was bought 3 years membership from dealer, which dealer told me they can fix most scratch and dents. This is first time request repair since hold membership over 1.5 year.

I will be seeking a refund and cancel this membership if the repair is not carried out. I will also be lodging this with the NSW Department of Fair Trading.

Very happy with the service I received today - took a little bit to get the technician out (requested originally on 29th October, confirmed repairable on 5th November, booked in for repair 10th November to be attended on 12th - operator got sick so ended up being done today 19th November). When attended the technician provided honest and clear… Read more

assessment of the damage, then did his best to repair it for me. The scratch was deeper than expected and I was given options on how to proceed. He was able to buff most of it out and then paint it up to prevent rust and to blend it in. End result is only visible up close in direct sun from an angle, and cost $50 to attend which I felt was very reasonable.

Will need to make a decision later on what to do with the panel but was happy with the service I received today.

Total waste of money, do NOT buy. Totally useless. It was very expensive, over 2000 dollars for 5 years and a total waste of money. Just a rip off. Again DO NOT Purchase. Had them out twice in two years both claims were rejected.  Show reply

Follow-up  · We cancelled our subscription. At least the dealership was good enough to refund our entire subscription fee, so at least they did the right thing. Just do not pay for this service !

Very disappointed by this product. It sounds tempting and useful when your leasing operator talks about it and tries to get you excited about it (I guess they get a commission for this cross-selling effort). But the truth is: it is not worth the… Read more

money and does not imply any added value. First of all, only very minor scratches that you can hardly see will be repaired. Secondly, all they do is applying a microscopic amount of paint to the scratch, no pre-treatment, no sanding, nothing. An operation that anyone can do. On top of that, they will charge you 50 AUD per treatment. If the scratch is deeper, they will ask you to go to a body shop, hard to believe!! All I can say is: if your car dealership or anyone else recommends this product to you: HANDS OFF!!! You'd better go to a panel beater, pay a bit more but have it done professionally. I asked my leasing operator today to get me out of this. They deserve a 0 rating if it existed.

Follow-up  · Unfortunately it was not possible to cancel the service but my leasing operator was very considerate and offered me a different solution. The sign-up process was done at the beginning of the lease, the product was included and did not require any separate formalities. I am not sure if they offer different products.

A call out to repair scratched alloy wheel and a minor scratch on side panel was fixed by Jimi professionally. A very friendly technician, (Jimi) and absolutely no complaints about a thing at all, hence highly recommend Schmick membership. appreciated that! Great customer service indeed! So the whole job cost us $50 only which is a bargain! For whose reviewers complaining about the repair claims that are not covered/declined under Schmick membership, may need to consider how the membership was sold to them by car dealership consultants to ensure the membership was not over sold to them first place as Schmick is only for minor/cosmetic repairs that would still save you money and time by having Schmick in the long run. We’ve had Schmick memberships for years in different states and never ever had any issues with getting cosmetic damages fixed professionally that has literally saved us thousands of dollars over the years! Especially from cosmetic damage repairs to the alloy wheels we all know about!

I’ve been a Schmick member for over 7 years now and wanted to share an honest long-term review. When I first joined, the service was excellent — for the first five years I never experienced any claim rejections. All repair work carried out during that time was pristine and completed to a very high professional standard. The technicians who… Read more

attended were always punctual, well presented, polite, and clearly skilled in their work.

Over the last two years, however, it does feel like the policy has become stricter, with more limitations on what is covered and additional rules now in place. While I understand policies evolve, the change has been noticeable compared to when I first signed up.

That said, the technicians themselves continue to be outstanding, recently had Anthony fix my scratched rims; he was professional, courteous, and reliable when attending bookings. My only area for improvement would be communication from customer care. On my most recent enquiry, it took a few weeks to receive a response. A little more timely communication and updates would make the overall experience much better.

Overall, still a professional service with excellent technicians, but clearer communication and more consistency with earlier coverage would really enhance member satisfaction.

I strongly advise against purchasing Schmick Car Care Club cosmetic protection. During the finance process, the product was heavily emphasised with the clear implication that declining it would leave the vehicle unprotected. In hindsight, this was high-pressure sales rather than genuine advice. Response times consistently ranged from 5–12 days… Read more

per email. Each reply requested additional photographs, different lighting, or further cleaning of the area—requirements that escalated over multiple exchanges. After nearly two months, the claim was ultimately declined on the basis that the damage was in a location with natural dents.

In practice, the approval criteria appear so stringent that only the most trivial marks (those easily removable at home) would qualify. Anything of meaningful size or in a common impact area seems to be excluded by one technicality or another.

For the significant premium paid (several hundred dollars upfront plus ongoing fees), the coverage offers virtually no real-world protection. I now consider it an expensive lesson and recommend declining this product when offered. If you have recently purchased it, I suggest reviewing your cooling-off rights and cancelling while still possible.

Professionalism in communication was polite, but the deliberate delays and hyper-technical declines undermine any sense of good faith. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Schmick Car Care Club.

I don’t see any value in this service. The client service is terrible. They have different contractors fixing different issues so you cannot have multiple claims on the one day. For example, dents are assigned to one contractor, buffing scratches that’s another contractor. I was told one of the scratches on my car was too large so they didn’t… Read more

I am severely disappointed in their customer service and won’t be recommending anybody uses Schmick for anything. Taking such a long time to respond and then arguing semantics with someone who has held membership for 2 years over a registration number is ridiculous. Check the VIN and the owner. Are they the same? Yes. I’ve paid for the service - just fulfil it. Unprofessional in every way.

I have only ever attempted to make two claims for what is a very small mark and also a small dent , both have been declined and requesting my money back they have said no. Highly recommend not going with them. Absolutely pointless and feels like a scam also takes ages for them to even respond .
