Washing Machine Blues – I bought my Beko front loader (first front loader) after moving into an apartment and my heavy duty fabulous top loader did not fit the spot by 2.5cm back in March 2015. I initially was concerned as I was unsure of the brand but ended up buying a Beko fridge/freezer as well as the move also shorted the motor in my fridge/freezer as well. I only… Read more
had a limited budget with the move etc. The extra features like "pet hair removal" sounded great at the time as I was looking after my daughter's cat - unfortunately could never get it to work. A couple of years ago I had to have the door closer replaced - I think that was at least $250 then yesterday it broke down again and this time it's seems to be the electronics. The repairman gave me a rough figure of upwards of $500 to repair. Why would I!? So after only about 6.5 years I am in the market for another washing machine!
Bad product and sales man – I bought this machine from Bing Lee and a sales man manipulate me to buy this crap. At that time I went to Bing Lee is to buy the Bosh. Shortly after 5 years it was broken. The machine is not spinning at all. After wasting too much time of reading all the reviews and how to diagnose, I tested the manchine and it was motor failure. What a shame Bing Lee sales man and Beko. Do not recommend to buy product from Bing Lee and Beko products. Show details

Fantastic after sales service – My machine stopped working after light use for a little over 2 years, I called Beko to enquire about warranty etc and they had a technician out within a week who replaced the motor at no cost to myself. Was frustrated it died i the first place but cant argue with the after sales service!!! Very happy! Show details
Fantastic machine – My previous review was when I was trying to contact customer service. I eventually did get hold of them and the service person came within a couple of days. They advised that Beko service is normally very good and weren't sure why it took so long for me to get through. I did email them and they answered fairly quickly so if you have a problem… Read more
getting through on the phone perhaps try emailing. Anyway, my machine was still under warranty (had 4 months to go) they had to replace the motor. The serviceman said that Beko are a great company and the machine are great too, he said that if my machine was out of warranty they would still have repaired it. Machine now all fixed and back to it's usual wonderful self. This is is my first front loader and I love it, the 28 minute daily wash is the one I use most and it washes everything fantastic. Only thing you need to ensure is that you load the washing in similar fabrics, i.e. don't mix heavies with lights as the spin cycle doesn't get it right. Other than that, fantastic machine.
Thanks BEKO
Good value, appears well made – Have had just over 12 months and been really happy with the machine using for 4 washes per week. Having said that the main motor burnt out but was replaced under warranty at no cost to me. Repairman said it just looked like it was a faulty motor as he doesn't normally have much trouble with Beko. Washed clothes well, large choice of different… Read more
washing options. Economical on water, electricity and detergent, important because I am on tanks, solar power and grey water recycling. Machine spin cycle is a little noisy if you use the 1600RPM cycle (which I never do) but don't even hear it in next room at 1000 RPM.

waste of money. constant need for repair on motor, function and door – purchased from retailer who suggested as alternative to euro brands. waste of money. constant need for repair on motor, function and door. then delay in fitment of parts. repair required atleast every 18mths. not fun when you have children. Worst washing machine ever – Bought brand new, the motor gave out after 3 years. Paid to have it replaced. One year on, the motor went again. When calling BEKO to complain, they said they have a special offer on a new washing machine. As though we'd ever buy BEKO again! Show details
Very disappointing 5 years – After replacing my Beko dishwasher that only lasted 4 years a couple of months ago our Beko front loader decided to stop spinning. Went through the diagnostic test and came up with an F13 code and everywhere I called to repair it said the motor or the card that’s part of the motor is shot. $150+ call out plus at least $300 in parts. Absolutely… Read more
appalling that such a high cost part in a thousand dollar washer will only last that long. Bitten twice with Beko, never again!!
Apart from that, it washed fine.. I guess... compared to a $100 Kmart top loader that it replaced.

Really impressed with it – Searching a fix for our leaking beko machine, it seems one of the kids overloaded it and and forced the door closed. This in turn unclipped the door seal and caused a leak. This is the 3rd issue we've have in about 9 years with this machine. The other was an issue with the water supply, as we have a rain water tank which had a supply issue.… Read more
Another was a part failure that beko fixed at about year 5, free of charge and well out if warranty. My guess is the machine gets used 10 to 15 times per week on average, as my wife is a freak with washing. I can't recall a machine ever lasting this long, so we're pretty happy with it.
bucket of crap – Worst appliance I have ever owned. Purchased December 2014. Motor buggered and replaced after 20 months in August 2016. 2016 had to replace door handle as couldnt open. 2017 main pcb blown. Now motor gone again and lo and behold the replacement motor lasted 20 months also. Dont buy Beko Show details
Generally OK with Common Fault/s – Well after 3 years and 3 months, we have generally found this Beko to be OK for the price brand new. Used on average 2 - 3 times a week, both heavy and light loads. Generally cleans clothes well and haven't had any issues with it not reaching required spin speed, that I can tell. It's had a few issues mentioned by others; intermittently not… Read more
draining of the centre dispenser (depends on which cycle your using), the door handle broke and then very same day, the Motor finally gave up.
(I discovered this, as it wouldn't commence a wash cycle and would jump straight to End cycle, however no rotating of drum due motor failure. To check for Error code; With the washer switched off, Press START/PAUSE (hold the button down) then switch the ON/OFF to ON and while holding them you will see an error code display. I had F13 meaning Motor related)
Now as annoying as a motor failing is 10 days before Christmas, Beko Australia were very helpful. Offered to have the Motor and door handle replaced completely free of charge, despite the Washer being 15 months out of warranty.
To aid all this, I conveyed the exact problem and error code to Beko via email and they called less than 36 hours later to arrange a repair. The repairer in Sydney called the following day to arrange home repair and all up we were without the washer for a total 7 days.
So fingers crossed this new Motor lasts as long if not longer.
**It was mentioned during repair, that Beko know the Motors are rubbish, hence willingness to replace.
It's the circuit board attached to these brushless motors that is the root cause i'm told.
Good luck to all that still have one!
Absolute rubbish! – Just outside 2 year warranty period and stops working. Beko useless and will state that your outside warranty so won't do anything about it. Wanted to charge $90 call out and $22 per 10 minutes for repairs excluding parts. Unbelievable. Made a complaint to ACCC, doubt the toothless tiger will do anything though. Bought brand new at 2nds world. Show details

doesn't last – This washing machine worked ok for 2years and 2 months. So 2 months out of warranty it broke down, the computer board went and the bearings, definitely not worth fixing, won't tell you how much it cost me to find that out. very very unhappy with beko. It wasn't over used either. Show details

Pathetic always breaks down – My Beko machine is just over 3 years old. I bought it because it has a quick load cycle but also the price was not too bad. Since day one we have had problems with this machine. Luckily we got extended warranty on it because boy have I used it. So far repairer has been 4 times. 1/ Within few weeks it started making shocking noises and wouldn't… Read more
spin properly. (Ended up needing all new electrical computer parts) The repairer said I think you have bought a lemon and he sure was right with that.
2/ Randomly load doesn't spin properly, some loads perfect others very very wet and I have to respin.
3/ Broken door hinge had to be preplaced, now door doesn't close properly so the sensor cant lock it until I give it a tap.
4/ Electrical burnt out smell and makes shocking noises repair guy is coming back Tuesday
So over all my Beko experience hasn't been good even though repairer has been able to fix problems I will never ever buy another Beko product again. I have had one problem after another.
Not happy at all
Buyer beware, seems like only 2 year life for this machine – Just made it past 2 year warranty and then kaput ! What a con, it looks like I'm not the only one. And only 2 washes max per week too. It cleaned alright until it died. My previous Maytag lasted a good 8 years beofre it started to make noise. Show details
Dispenser – Decided to put half amount of powder in dispenser, other half in r/h pre-wash section. Clothes are cleaner doing this as most of powder remains in l/h dispenser after cycle. I will now try this method on 28 minute cycle as found clothes did not wash properly in the past. Show details
just out of warranty motor is dead – worked ok till out of warranty then motor died, less than 30 months old. it was a replacement for a previous front loader that lasted 20 years, and moved between two countries. This one had an easy life, only 3 to 4 cycles per week . Price of spare is about 50%of new purchase Show details
Very Disappointed – This machine does all the right things, until 2years 9mths into the life of the machine the motor has to be replaced because it has a very high revolution spin, burning out the motor, it happens so frequent in fact that the repairman carry's the motors with him costing me over $400 to repair. I see this machine has now been discontinued, & I… Read more
was told the motor has been rectified which is why I had mine repaired, it is still slightly cheaper than buying a new one. So very disappointed after all the research I had done to settle for this machine.
Buyer beware – Warranty was 2 years.one month later, total break down. Loud and house shaking on spin. Buy a fisher and paykel. Dont waste your money on this model. Very heavy machine.awkward in small laundry. Haven't really got anything nice to say about this machine and Beko hopefully will update their polices.
There's better machines out there – Brought this machine and 16 months later it stopped working anyway 3 motherboards and 2 and a bit months later we are still waiting for a replacement which will be the next model up as this has been discontinued so thankfully there won't be too many more of them out there touch wood. Judging from reviews the next model's not much better. As far as… Read more
washing goes it did the job and we were quite happy with it while it was working though on some programs we noticed it would not spin up properly and clothes were still soaked, summing it up if your looking for a washing machine steer clear of this one. Most positive reviews I've read the machine isn't over 24months old.
Hope this enlightens you a little and don't forget the extended warranty.
Motor died shortly outside warranty period – The motor has just died 6 months outside the warranty period. I only average about 2 loads per week, so not many compared to most people, I can't have worn out the motor with so little usage! The clothes do not clean very well, disappointingly. I also had a lot of problems trying to get service & have had to chase constantly. So now the repair… Read more
cost will be 50% of the cost of the new machine. This is now 16 days since it broke down & I am going to have to wait another week as they don't have the part in Sydney & then get it installed. These machines are not made to last even 5 years (as I've been told that's all you can expect these days), I will be advising the sales man who pushed the product.
Cleans clothes well, low energy/water use, but, motor has failed – The machine it self does actually clean clothes quite well, there is a good spin speed (1600rpm in cotton mode) but high enough (1200rpm) in some others that clothes are well rung out. There's option to choose temp in increments of 10 degrees C which is good; Generally quiet whilst washing; a little noisier on spin, with audible whizzing sound. … Read more
I was a little cautious about this brand in terms of longevity and quality as compared to say German brands or even Whirlpool and Simpson;
The machine is now 21 months old, and the motor has failed, fortunately it is still covered by warranty.
Based on other reviews on this site, it seems motor failure is quite common, and other people seem to report failure at a similar period of time;
I've arranged repair, although there is no time frame for the part to arrive. I was told motors were on back order recently.
Given the status of Beko as UKs No 1 brand, one would hope that there is quality in the product. Given the reviews, motor failure, and door latch failure as common themes, I cannot help but feel a little dismayed that the machine is not particularly robust.
As stated, when it works, it cleans clothes well.
Cautious kudos, since there really is a large question mark regarding the quality of individual components and the longevity of the machine.

Unreliable washing machine – Purchased the machine in May 2014, it was recommended to me by the salesperson who said it is a great machine at an affordable price. Usually I do 1-2 loads of washing a day and I like the "Daily Quick" program as it only takes 28 mins with default spin at 1200rpm, my clothes come out pretty dry. After 9 months of daily use, the main PCB… Read more
board and motor failed and they had to be replaced. The machine was out of action for 10 days, we had to hand wash all the clothes (family of 4) everyday, that was painful! I start to wonder how people in the old days could live without a washing machine or fridge in the middle of summer.
Now, at 22 months the plastic door handle broke and this appears quite a common problem as mentioned by few reviewers here. My washed clothes were trapped inside the machine for a whole day, luckily my partner managed to stick his finger in and somehow open the door.
Over the years, I have owned a number of front load washing machines and never had a problem with door handle; in fact it was disappointing to have 2 major issues under 2 years of ownership. Thankfully, the retailer I purchased the machine from is willing to swap this machine to another brand of my choice. I paid extra money and swapped to an LG 7.5kg front loader, hope it will be more reliable than Beko.
Cheap Materials – After 18 months needed the motor replaced. While the repairman replaced the motor I noticed that the rust had almost eaten through the metal around the bottom edge and underneath. The metal on the beko is so thin in comparison to the whirlpool we had for 14 years with only one pump replaced. The Whirlpool did have some surface rust but in 14… Read more
years the rust remained only surface rust and the shell remained solid. The repairman pointed out to me that the rust is not covered under warranty. I think the shell will barely last the length of time of the extended warranty I paid for. Now the door won't open, the plastic handle has broken. I cannot believe how thin and brittle the plastic handle is for the door opener, it is absolutely ridiculous to make the handle out of the plastic they did. All they need have done is attach a handle exactly like a metal teaspoon. The teaspoon metal won't rust and the rest of the machine will break before the teaspoon does.
Do not buy - poor quality – The handle broke twice during the two years I had it. Beko accused me of being too rough on the handle and opening before the safety switch had finished, but the cheap plastic was easily broken and it it took over a month to repair. Beko were completely unhelpful, after sales service non existent.
Worst machine I have ever had – I bought this machine in March this year. First of all soooo noisy, It sounds like a plane taking off on the top spin cycles. I had the machine properly installed and then had a service person from Beko come and check the installation but still noisy. Secondly it does not wash my clothes well. Especially the delicates cycle doesn't clean lightly… Read more
soiled delicates so have to use a heavier cycle to clean them
Sometimes after machine is finished I have to re spin clothes as not spun properly and I never overload the machine.
The salesman at JB hifi convinced me to buy this machine after I researched many others.
I thought I would persevere with machine and see how it went.
I only do about 2 loads a week and can't use it at night cause it is so loud it wakes my daughter up.
I rang JB hifi but they said it was probably out of warranty to change as more than 3 months.
So so disappointing that i spent the money. Wish I had stuck to the brands I know!
Can't fault – My first front loader Has performed faultlessly Bought machine 12 mths ago Has even survived a move interstate Even us guys can wash clothes (single) Also have their dryer great also Have changed from Fisher & Paykel Machines I used for over 20 years Can recommend highly First rate machine
Great Machine - Clothes come out lovely and clean – I was worried about leaving my upright washer behind and going for a front loader, but this Beko can still be opened if I find an odd sock tucked under the bed (as long as the water hasn't got too high). My parents bought this model and raved about it so I decided to give it a go. I am very happy with the machine and the quality of the wash (my… Read more
upright often left my clothes not quite clean).
As I needed to put this on a thin tile which is over wooden floors, I worried it might shake the house down. But my husband was very careful to use a level and adjust it perfect during the installation, and there has not been excessive shaking.
My final worry about this machine is that it does not have a 'soak' feature - something I used a lot with my upright to get my whites nice and white. To get around this, I put some nappy san in the prewash section, and my normal detergent in the detergent section, then select "cotton" with a prewash. This has brought up everything perfectly. This does take longer, about 2 hours because I put the temp up higher. To be honest, I have not yet tried just mixing some nappy san in with the detergent and putting it on a higher 'daily quick' temp - might try that next and see what the results are like.
The daily quick cycle is fine for normal lightly soiled clothes - over and done with in only 23 minutes. Load capacity is really good.
My only disaster is when I needed to just wash one very heavily soiled item. I put nappy san, detergent and did a 90 degree cotton wash - but because there was only one item, I ended up with suds pouring out the front of the machine! Note to self - use less detergent!! Easily fixed. I paused it, poured about a litre of cold water into the detergent tray, then started it again. Then had to repeat this process a few minutes later.
I think I am still learning about my new machine - probably am still using a bit too much detergent.
Brilliant Machine. I love it – My last two machines have been LG's I got about 8 years out of each of them. I got the Beko about 18 months ago and I can't fault it. The 1600 spin is awesome.. it washes really well and doesn't damage the clothes.. It's a very quite machine and has a 2 year factory warranty.
Love this machine – Have never had a front loader before so I researched and researched, then, quite by accident found Beko I am so pleased I did. So many brands looked fine but the door seemed cheap and easily broken, others had flimsy powder drawers. In Becko everything is solid and well made and had good reviews. Then a friend purchased one which broke down in the… Read more
first week, Becko sent a repairman the next day and a faulty power switch was replaced on the spot without any problems, so I have confidence in their after sales service. I have had the machine for 2 months now and I am very happy, it is so quiet and old clothes are actually coming out cleaner with a new lease of life. Washing tip, the slower you spin the towels the softer they come out so keep it for towelling at 1000rpm.
Love my new beko – This machine is really value for money at$$749.00, so quiet you dont even know its on, compared to my whirlpool which was like a jet on spin cycle and $1200.00 5yrs and drum cracked Unfixable! Not buying expensive machine again Im hooked , BEKO is alright in my books Show reply

and replaced the main board. Soon after the new board/control panel being replaced the spin speed could not be adjusted. Beko came and replaced the complete machine. This is no Rolls Royce but excellent value for money and great wash results. Quick wash times,8kg wash at 40deg in under 40 minutes. Great value for money. Not reaching full spin on most cycles, a bit noisy when spinning, no extra rinse option or memory/favorite program.
I HATE this machine – This is my first FL my mum has one not this brand she loves hers, best thing ever, so when my old machine died I thought I would get a FL. not only with the dogs hair but mine as well, I never had this problem with my old top loader and I'm finding my washing is not as clean, I've tried changing wash powder, less cloths in each load and even pre-wash powder and extra pre-wash option plus the pet hair option. Every time I hang my washing out I'm reminded of how much I hate this machine and that I'm stuck with it.
