Machine broke just outside warranty but was repaired by Electrolux – Purchased from Harvey Norman in June 2021. Did the job for 2 years 8 months then died (outside of the 2 year warranty) - E91 error. I was quoted $400 to $500 to repair by a local technician. I left a review here and was then contacted directly by Electrolux who sent a serviceman and repaired the machine at their cost. Thank you very much Electrolux. The machine has worked fine since. Show details

A reliable workhorse for families – I do around 3 loads of washing per day for my busy family. This machine cleans brilliantly. It fits ALOT of cottons all at once. It cleans the cloth nappies very well. Our delicates are in immaculatecondition and the wool setting has our jumpers cared for properly. I recommend this reliable washing machine. Show details

A great machine that keeps clean even itself – It really is a 4.7 star kind of thing. The very small kinks isnt taking a whole star off at all. Very big nice IF the wifi will still be available to control the washing machine after it turns off. ( standby mode instead of complete power off?) For now, this is not possible. In real life circumstances, it means despite the very thoroughly… Read more

thought-out app which I loved to bits. Showing many details, useful and useless. Once the machine power off shortly after a wash is complete, I can’t decide that maybe an extra spin cycle will be useful and then power on via my phone a while after I missed the finish cycle notification. Devastatingly sad that I cannot do that.

This part here I want to believe it is a joke from Electrolux. There is a connectivity guide that shows you can link the Electrolux to google home and do voice commands. THEN showing you that both linking and voice command are available for other smart devices but not for washer and dryer. Why...Why? I want to be able to "hey google, ask washer to keep quiet" and the washer will change to quiet mode. But no, I can't.

There is a set of buttons that sometimes when accidentally pressed together, will set the machine to demo mode. You must crawl back to the power point and switch it off and on again in order to reset it to normal function.

Other than the above 2.5 issues. I must say they did very well in designing their “smart” aspect. The app provides a good guide on which mode to use for the clothes you are washing and the recommended load in each mode.

If you, like me, never really know which mode to use. Fear not. Just look at the care labels for most of your clothes and get the most common ones to wash together. Chose all the labels in the app under "care advisor". They will set the best modes and options for u, send it to the machine, you just need to start the cycle after, in the app. Or you can chose by the garment type if care label is not your thing. Easy peasy.

The premix function is such a good one, no more super strong detergent scent on some clothes but not on some others.

I love that there is up to 90 degrees wash in some modes, but I never use that before. You can set the water to various set temperatures to cater to different laundry needs/limits. I mostly use 60 degrees as that is a safe temperature for most of my clothing. 60 degree kills a lot of things, which is a massive peace of mind now adays. I think it really does a good job in killing a lot of nasties. Considering I am using the same detergent but with this machine, I, even though usually a responsible adult, sometimes forget my finished cycle for 3 days. With my old machine, by this time my laundry will have a weird stink and I must re wash it. Happy to inform that with 60-degree wash. I never have a stinky 3 day old, finished wash cycle laundry before. Lots of things must have died in that temperature and nothing grew, probably. At least I can’t detect any smell. (me being the smell detector of everything in the family)

One mention is that it seems to be smart enough to remember my preference. I like to do 60 degree for certain wash mode. After a few times of using that mode, it seems to automatically turn to 60 degrees when I use that mode again. Fluke? I didn’t see a function like this in the manual. Though this “memory” if any is gone every after I accidentally set it to demo and have to switch off the wall switch and on again to reset the machine.

And that forgotten sock, underwear that fell off the dirty laundry basket, jacket that is left in the foyer and not thrown in the dirty laundry. Yes, yes, all those can go into the machine even after you start the cycle. Just pause the machine, wait a few seconds for it to unlock, and dump them into the wash to join the family. I am very sure it works in the early part of the cycle, not too sure about later part as I didn’t try, considering it will be far too late to add in new dirty laundry and still expect it to be clean. If it did work though, I imagine that last piece will be an unwelcomed member of the family.

And that mouldy thing that grows in the rubber parts at the door? 8 months in and none of it so far. I gather the frequent 60 degrees wash does kill some of it. I use the Tub clean function time to time after wash cycles finishes. Not too often at all. It is still mould free as far as eyes can see and skin can touch.

One maintenance you must do is to release some weird water pool thing at the right corner of the machine. Doing it once a month is recommended. A shame the app did not do a reminder for this despite being so thorough in other areas, so you must set your own reminder.

All in all I am very happy with this machine. Now, if only they can invent a robot that boots out of the washer and help me find all my dirty laundry and do the wash etc. They will earn my 5 stars.

Mostly Happy; Very Good Washing Machine – My 6+ year old LG needed bearings and a sensor. $$$$! The repairman said LGs are typically doing 8 years with problems starting at 5 to 7. While on the short side of expected life it seems within the range for that LG model so decided not to go through the hassles of the Australian Consumer Law and move on. The repairman opined Electrolux have… Read more

raised their quality game over the past few years and were worth a look. This model was Choice recommended.

The good: - It washes well - It has a very effective spin - noise level is probably average for a front loading washing machine. - program selections are fine for most needs and more than just basic. - 'sensor wash' readjusts the time at least twice to optimise wash and rinses, and can be over-ridden into a manual mode

The bad: - WiFi? A gimmick on its best day. One needs to be there to load and unload it and there is nothing on the app you cannot do on the front panel; when your phone idles the app disconnects like every other app making it cumbersome and more useless than useful. Any plus? Checking the estimated finish time without having to be near the machine, but if one is only a room or two away it is quicker to take the walk and look-see. Maybe the washer could 'talk' to a WiFi enabled toaster, but what would they 'say' to each other? - It does not handle off balance loads terribly well; pillow cases have consistently caught in the fitted sheet's pockets to cause it to try and try and try to balance for a spin but never makes it. Today, it was trying to balance for about 20 minutes and counting until I stopped and sorted the wet load to extract pillow cases from fitted sheet pockets. It then continued on its cycle without further drama. That never happened with my previous LG, also a 10kg with the exact same load. - in manual (non-sensor mode) you cannot add rinses - actual sensor controlled wash time started with a 2:44 estimate, getting down to 2:10, and finishing at 2:30. It has a 15 and 60 minute cycle options; manual mode on the full cycle can be reduced to about 1:45.

Meh: - on/off button has to be held in for a few seconds but the panel does not turn on until the button is released. When turning off it is instantaneous with a push. - touch panel does not have a high quality sensory feel - we will eventually figure out how to deal with the sheets and balance. The balance problem has not happened with any other load.

Overall I am quite happy with it. Its performance seems excellent, save for the balance problem with my fitted sheet. If not for that Ease of Use would be 5 stars, excellent, and 4 1/2 stars overall.

Complete Failure – There are no words to express how much I hate this washer. It has a range of cycles, all of them are equally bad. This washer doesn't clean clothes leaves them dirty and smelly. Does not rinse well, there is always detergent left in clothes, I tried reducing the amount of detergent used to almost nothing and the problem still persisted. If there… Read more

is pet hair on clothes it doesn't remove it, just balls it up and works the balls into the fabric. They advertise it as whisper-quiet, ha! it sounds like a jumbo jet engine. For anyone considering buying this washer - DONT! save yourself the frustration and choose something else, a bucket of dirty river water would do better than this washer. After 2 years of trying with this machine, I give up, I have to replace it with something that actually works. Electrolux you are dead to me!

Excellent product. Wash very well, not too noisy, maybe a bit slow – We needed to upgrade our washing machine to a larger capacity model. We purchased this one a few months ago and so far we are very happy. This is relatively quite if compared to our old Samsung which was literally walking around the room during spinning cycles. It washes very well and we are also really enjoying the vapour function which ensures… Read more

total hygiene of clothes even when washing at low temperature. Programs are a bit long but results are great. We tried the WiFi functionality but we do not think it is very useful.

Great Machine – Brought this Washing Machine on the 27/6/2019 at Harvey Norman and couldn`t be happier. It has a range of cycles but only mainly use the Daily 60 cycle occasionally use a few of the other cycles like Delicates, wool or mixed cycles. The Quick 15 cycle is best left for new clothes or clothes that just need a freshen up as it only washes for 3 mins… Read more

that`s all so if your clothes are soiled / or dirty they won`t get washed enough (best to use another cycle for them) and only spins up to 800 rpm. It has up to 1400 rpm spin speed for the Daily 60, Cottons and Energy Saver cycles with a separate Spin only cycle up to 1400 rpm as well. The draw is equipped for powder or liquids and when the cycle is finished the door unlocks rather than having to wait for up to 2 mins with some of the other brands and the buzzer lets you know when the cycle is finished. The light in the drum is a great feature so you don`t leave anything behind when unloading. It has a 4.5 star water rating / 5 star energy rating which is great for a 10 kg machine. It also has a Vapour Refresh cycle which I haven`t used and the Energy Saver cycle well I don`t think it is going to be used by many as the cycle goes for 5 hours. Overall though it is a great machine and does a great job and would recommend this washing machine.
