When it came time to move again in June 2023, I thought to use the firm again, given they previously moved my items.

I re-booked Careful Movers in June2023 to move the same items from Hornsby Heights to another suburb of Sydney. The job was to be done on a Saturday morning. When they arrived, the same movers, again demanded cash payment and claimed that their trucks were not able to drive out of the driveway when fully loaded. They wanted to carry all items out onto the street. The driveway is not steep, and access is not an issue, I suggested they half fill up the truck and then walk the remainder of the items to the street, they refused that option and claimed the engine on the truck was too weak to reverse out of the driveway (absolute crap!. ).

The movers drove away, and no-one form the company called me to apologies or to follow up on the cancelled job. I sent text messages on the day, rang the office, and 3 days later, I'm still yet to hear from Careful Movers or even receive an apology...

I ended up having to hire a different removalist on an emergency basis during the weekend and it ended up costing almost double the original cost. [The new removalist had the same size trucks and had no issues with access or reversing out of the driveway with a fully loaded truck.!]

The drivers/movers do not speak English well enough to communicate and demand cash payment within minutes of arriving on site. (Despite making arrangements earlier to pay by credit card).

If you want to be stranded and stressed out as part of the already stressful event of moving home, then hire these guys to make your day even better! (sarcasm)

extremely reasonable. We shopped around to almost 10 removalist companies and did not find a single one which was reasonably priced with better reviews. Definitely worth it. We had mostly disassembled furniture, with some packed boxes and bags of personal items. Eugene and Ali wrapped all our furniture in blankets, ensuring they were protected during the move. They were always mindful of not scratching any walls or corners whilst moving furniture. I was initially hesitant about hiring removalists, but Eugene and Ali were very professional and it was obvious they have had a lot of experience moving - I will definitely be using careful movers again in the future. They outsource their service to Best Removals Campsie – They're not very transparent about the service. I booked with Careful Movers but it was another company, Best Removals Campsie that did the move. They also say there is no extra fee for stairs but the movers that came told me that they will charge an extra fee. It's probably fair but this is false advertising nonetheless. outsource it because I lived too far because I have seen their trucks in this area before so maybe it was a scheduling problem or maybe they just didn't want to do it themselves. My point is they probably are a good removalist service but if I'm booking a service with one company I expect to be dealing with that company. If for reasons they couldn't do it, they should just be honest about it saying they couldn't but then offer me the option of the use of this other company so at least I know the company I'm dealing with. Otherwise, this review system is flawed because you're going through all these reviews for the company but then you're really using another which you have no idea of and you haven't read the reviews for. It might have been cheaper for me to book directly with the actual removalists that came (which incidentally have not issued me an invoice to this day!).

Cancelled 2 days before the move – Our move was booked in for Wednesday. Monday afternoon I got a text saying that their truck had broken down and had to cancel. At least my deposit got refunded. Do NOT trust

masks for them !! Last but not least , almost got us locked out of the apartment BOTH at my original home and new home (entering lift full of goods with a swipe card and letting the doors close) . As a finishing touch, they succeeded in making a tear at back of one of my sofas. If I wanted that level of service, would've gone to Airtasker directly myself ! AVOID this company at all costs.

Table Top Remove – I Recently hired these guys to remove a table top that another removal company couldn’t remove. They tried and couldn’t fit it into the elevator and refused to take it. So I called Careful Movers they fitted it in the elevator and had the job done in 10 minutes Great job I recommend these guys 100%

Third floor apartment move – What a fantastic job your movers did for me. I moved to a third floor apartment - all stairs - very challenging. They did a fantastic job - even connected my washer and put my bed together. I would highly recommend them and will be using you again for my next move.

Affordable removalists – I would recommend the Careful Movers team to anyone who wants a cheap move. They were professional. They treated me and each other with respect.
