MWAV moved all my furniture one apartment to another across Melbourne in a timely and efficient manner. They were well-organised, and took great care with my possessions and with the buildings. The removalists were very friendly, professional, and skilled, and the rates were very fair and flexible based on total job time.

day into a real breeze! They handled the move out of the highrise very well. They manoeuvred the furniture & boxes/ awkwardly shaped things expertly around the tight bends in the apartment, and into the elevator. They were super skillful, and clearly were experienced and confident. They were also fun to chat to, and had great taste in music! (It also wasn't too loud either, which was a major plus). We communicated well with them, and they had things in the truck quicker than we thought! They communicated with us that they had a lunch break once arriving, and that was great for us because it allowed us some rest for 30 mins before back into unloading the truck. They were again, very communicative, let us know they'd be there soon, and when they arrived, they parked expertly. The two movers were really respectful of our stuff and listened to directions super well! They seem to really care about giving us a good experience as customers and they were fantastic at it. Before we knew it, our stuff was all unloaded, and it was 1.5 hours under what we thought! Due to their great efforts we paid $250 less than we had thought. Overall it was an amazing experience and i will never move with any other company again! Absolutely blown away and relieved, very very happy with the service :)

We needed a few items of furniture and packing boxes moved from our late father's nursing home to a nearby Salvo's outlet. The booking was made quickly and the movers called an hour earlier than the appointed time. The move itself was flawless and the guys were cheerful and obliging. We needed to act quickly and Man With A Van came to the rescue! Excellent service and highly recommended. Thank you!

Our movers were very professional and incredibly nice. We were moving out of a three bedroom and had more to move than anticipated but they were so welcoming and managed to get the job done in the estimated time frame. I would recommend this company to any of my friends who are moving! So happy with this service.

Did an excellent job last year in May 2025. Smooth transition, organised and highly capable. No damage to any items. Highly recommend. A bit on the expensive side but worth it.

Disappointed the second time round – I have them a 5 star 3 years ago when I went with them. That was moving 4 bedroom to 1.5 bedroom. nothing like the last time. To be fair I was not as organised as last time, so cannot complain about timeliness or end times. But at the end where glass shelving from the cabinet is left behind (so I'm told, at this point they are missing) and the support for the shelving is missing, is not what I thought would be a good experience. I will now go back to hunt down the missing shelves and support. Next time I think I will try someone else and see how I go. Don't get me wrong, they were friendly and happy to follow my directions and respectful, hence the 3 stars, but this time, it's missing that icing on the cake.

Did not confirm, just showed up! Not impressed – We had job to deliver some furniture donation to a school and we called up to on Monday to query their availabilities and they said they had an availability only Wednesday. it all out but this was unprofessional. We did not receive any communication via email or call about confirmation nor did we agree to this. They were willing to charge us a cancellation fee of $180 if the job didn't go ahead. In future, please make sure to confirm with the client before proceeding with ANY job. Fair to say, not impressed...

For Large or Important Moves, Don't Get Fresh/New Franchisees – My move was 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, lots of boxes. Distance was less than 10km. The move took 3 hours longer than expected, likely due to the movers inexperience (lots of time spent playing Tetris, unloading and reloading, ran out of covers/wool blankets). move myself as I clean the old place out. I listed these things in the form Man With A Van requested me fill out (which they didn't use). They didn't, and I ended up having to borrow a ute to move some of the larger items after.

I had a few issues with these particular movers - like when they took furniture into the house facing the wrong way (couch facing the wall, after I gave them a tour and told them where things will go), placed keys for cabinetry which they locked in locations without telling us, but worst of all - they managed to move a dresser down a flight of stairs and into the truck but gave up taking it up a flight of stairs in the new house because it was too heavy (but that didn't stop them trying for half an hour, which I was billed for). They said it would cost extra for another team to be sent out to move it.

I rejected that and locked my credit card when they gave up.

Once they finished the remaining items, I told them to stop the timer and leave. They took more than 3 hours just to load a truck for a 2BR 1BA apartment which was already pre-packed. The original estimate was 3 hours for the entire job, including travel time.

Head office called me after requesting payment, I told them they didn't finish the job - they can send someone out who can finish the job, explaining the dresser.

So two separate Man With A Van trucks rolled up about 15 minutes later - 2 older and much larger guys finished the move in about 5 minutes and left.

I don't think this move should have taken this long (all-up probably spent 45 minutes playing Tetris rather than planning as they went). They should have prioritised the stuff we asked them to and the fact they couldn't move the dresser at the end was very surprising.

Glad the head office sorted it out after, but be sure to book movers that have been operating for a few years first.

It would be 1 star, but they didn't break anything and they were careful.

The guys did a great job and were friendly and respectful of the properties. This was very challenging at times trying to manoeuvre larger items up the staircase, but they were amazing. I would highly recommend.

Memphis and Austin were amazingly professional, friendly, quick and made sure they checked in with me throughout the move. They did the job so quickly so i paid less than was quoted which was great for me. Highly recommend!
