I purchased a vehicle about a month ago and has been available through Carconnect, dealer has not been paid and I have been delayed delivery of my new vehicle on numerous occasions now company has gone into voluntary administration. Took full payment fully knowing they could not delivery a vehicle to me, CEO and Directors should be charged with outright theft.

were we informed of any financial instability or risk to our purchase.

We were repeatedly reassured that the vehicle was being prepared and that delivery was imminent. We relied on those representations in good faith. Shortly after, we learned that Carconnect had entered voluntary administration — leaving us without the vehicle we paid for and facing uncertainty about recovering our money.

The most upsetting part of this experience was the lack of transparency. Had we been made aware of the company’s financial position, we would never have proceeded with full payment. Instead, we were given confidence that everything was “on track.”

We are now left feeling misled, financially exposed, and deeply disappointed. No customer should have to experience this level of stress after making such a significant purchase.

I strongly urge anyone considering using this service to conduct thorough due diligence and ensure they understand the financial position if they are ever allowed to trade again. Extremely angry customer

up to their claims on finding the best deal for your new car!

For starters I was very sceptical about this method of buying a car , I have never purchased a brand new car before neither, however I did a bit of research into this company and all looked legit , they had been trading for quite a few years , reviews seemed good , even spoke to some dealerships that were aware of them and had used them in the past.

I was contacted by Luke Anderson a salesman from Carconnect who clarified what I wanted and said he would get back to me.

Within days he was back with a very reasonable price on what I wanted (GWM Tank 300) with quite a few extras thrown in. I agreed on price and entered into the contract on January 26th 2026. I then paid my deposit on January 29th 2026 for $1000.

My contract had a vehicle collection date on February 20th 2026. I was then contacted by Rebecca from Carconnect with

"The dealer has advised that your vehicle will be ready from Thursday 12/02 onwards pending aftercare, subject to settlement of your receipt of cleared funds."

The remaining $36990.00 was then transferred on February 13th 2026 after many days of them chasing me up!

From then on, I only had email contact from Rebecca Lteif.

After a few emails checking on when I can expect to collect my vehicle etc on February 17th 2026 I had an email confirming they had my funds and would be in touch shortly.

The following day February 18th I contacted the car dealer directly as something just felt off. They confirmed they had the car their waiting for me to collect with all mods I had requested done.....however I could not collect the vehicle as the had still not received my money from Carconnect.

What then ensued is many emails to Carconnect going around and round in circles with Rebecca Lteif unable to answer any questions at all , just kept on passing on messages to management to contact me on this issue. I was constantly just directed to contact the general manager Joe Malfitana who would be able to deal with any of my issues. I'm sure all of you reading this are aware of this mythical Joe! Countless unanswered emails from Joe , god knows how many ignored phone calls , voicemails and text messages too!

February 20th 2026 Vehicle collection date as per contract.

I contacted the dealership, this was my response from them

"Thank you for your time earlier regarding your Tank 300 via Carconnect.

I can confirm that ********** has not received funds from Carconnect for your vehicle + others we have already delivered.

********** cannot proceed with delivery of any further vehicles to Carconnect customers until we have received payment from Carconnect for your vehicle + the vehicles we have already delivered that are still unpaid. Your car is ready to go as soon as this is resolved."

Immediately then called the salesman Luke Anderson to find out what the hell was going on. He advised that they were having a "few issues" due to a couple of senior management leaving the business ( I now suspect that if that is true , our money went with them) I questioned Luke as to why I was getting no response from Joe Malfitana, Luke advised that he will get to me but he is trying to get through his workload right now and that he was on the phone right now to Simple? (I think that's who he said he was speaking to anyway. I asked Luke what was going on and should I be concerned right now , his response was "It isn't good" It was then I heard Joe in the background ask Luke "who is that you are speaking to?" Followed by a few seconds of silence. I asked Luke to then put me on to Joe as he was obviously in the same room, he couldn't but assured me that Joe would call me by the end of the day. About an hour later Joe did indeed call , cool as a cucumber ensuring everything was good, just finalising a few details and everything would be ready to go early the following week. From then on, zero contact, even Luke Anderson the salesman actually blocked my number. On the Monday 23rd February 2026 , this is when I started to see bad reviews pop up on product review and contacted some guys on there , all experiencing the same kind of experience I was going through. Contacted my bank trying to get funds reversed (they've put in a case number but I doubt that will help) Emailed , texted and called Joe countless times but to no avail , then on Friday 26th February 2026 in the afternoon I watched the ASIC website update their status to under administration..... Criminals

to order a blue i20N which he said would arrive at end of November 2024. So, I had to wait 2-3 months for the car, which from what, I've read, is quite fast. I was very excited to get the car, which would be my first car.

When the due date arrived, there was no sign of the car and no one contacted me to notify me of the delay. I had to call CarConnect directly to get an explanation. By then it was already 1-2 weeks late. CarConnect answered the phone and said they would look into it but never got back to me.

I then called Hyundai Werribee to get an update, but they said to call CarConnect about it - so basically they were both passing the responsibility onto each other.

I complained to my car loan agent about the situation, which was shocking to him - and he said he'd follow up himself. Then, CarConnect, got back to me and said, without any apology, that the i20N would arrive very soon. I eventually received my car which was 4 weeks late.

Later, my car loan agent notified me that there was a virus on the ship that was holding my car, so they had to wipe every centimetre of it to clear it through customs.

I'm very disatisfied with both CarConnect and Hyundai Werribee for their lack of communication and poor customer service.

However, the car is an amazing drive and worth the wait. Some strange things to note about the car: - The paint is a bit fragile and I already have some paint damage, just from 5 months of normal use (small dots that appear). - The rear bumper and side skirts are not sealed so they collect dust and gravel when the rear tyres kick up dust. I can hear the gravel moving when I start driving the car and will need to clean it out. - The first gear needs a lot of accelerator pedal pressure to make the car move so it takes some getting used to. - The difference in power between gears 5 and 6 is very small so at Australian road speeds, you won't see much use for 5th gear.

service was absolutely amazing. He was always on top of things and I rarely had to reach out to him first! He would always happily contact me and update me regularly! He was able to find the exact model and colour we were after from a Kia dealer in Sydney. Simon's communication was impeccable and he's so fantastic at his job! I could tell he also genuinely wanted to help us out!! Unfortunately he became ill when it was time for the delivery of our Sportage. However we dealt with another lovely lady named Chantel. She was also very much on top of things and very responsive! There were a few issues with the transport company and Chantel tried her best to help us work through those issues and was so understanding! Luke was singularly the best representative I have ever dealt with. He was so dogged in his pursuit I could not believe it. What set it off even more is that Luke was able to source the very last car in the country of the spec and colour My wire wanted; literally having one of his networked colleagues call him when the car that had been thought sold fell through! More incredible: he had it delivered to the door, registered in SA for somewhat less than any of the dealers wanted for the same spec.

Thank you Luke. Not only did you help make my wife happy, but you have given me a new lease on trying brokers again!

will not process our order for our car as CarConnect is on stop credit with them. The CarConnect team cannot provide any information at all about what is going on other than "we will look into it".

Calls are not being returned, and they are actively making every attempt to avoid me.

The General Manager and CEO are taking absolutely no responsibility at all which is the most concerning as this demonstrates a known problem at senior levels in the business.

It seems on face value that they are in serious financial trouble and are not sure how to fix it. I am making repayments on a car that I don't have, don't know when I'm going to receive, and can't get any answers on.

Update: According to ASIC this company went into Administration 26/2/25. Guess I now know why the senior leaders of the organisation were avoiding me. Clearly they knew this was coming ahead of time and continued to trade like normal anyway - appalling behaviour. I still don’t have a car, they still have the money and the dealership still hasn’t been paid.

Buyer beware — this service isn’t worth the hassle or stress. There is constant chasing via email and phone, often with promises of a call back that never come. The internal teams at Carconnect don’t appear to communicate well, which meant I had to personally follow up with their invoicing team multiple times. There also seemed to be disputes… Read more

between Carconnect and the dealership about releasing the vehicle, even after full payment had been made to Carconnect.

In the end, using this service will cost you more — both financially and in time and frustration. I’m still waiting for a resolution and a return call. I have never posted a negative review, but it is important to share this experience as this is were i looked before using carconnect

Car Connect have received my funds and for no other reason other than incompetence they have not and will not process payment to the car yard. The vehicle has been ready and registered in my name for 11 days now and Car connect keep blowing me and Toyota off every day with we will look into it. I am already making repayments on the loan. would never use them again.

i financed a car for a mutual customer the loan settled a week ago. The dealership cannot deliver the car to the customer because Carconnect refuses to pay for the car. The dealership involved is still waiting for funds for cars they delivered in December. Disappointing doesn't even describe what my customer is feeling. he is now paying for a car he doesn't have.

Nick and team were great. They sourced a vehicle at a great price. They provided clear timeline and handled everything. Vehicle arrived ahead of schedule with all additions. Don’t waste your time – Signed a contract and paid a deposit. Approximately 4 months later, while waiting for delivery, I was informed they couldn’t do it at that price and charged around $2500 more. Don’t waste time with this company.

at the time of writing this, is still listed as "coming soon" and "register your interest" on Hyundai's website. Entry level pricing had just been released on 3rd party sites and not even the dealers could tell me when one would be arriving in their showrooms, only that it would be $55,500+ dealer delivery charges and on road costs, so putting it in the ballpark of around $58,500 give or take. After a little back and forth, David was able to get back to me with a drive away price of $55,985, that is marginally higher than the RRP price before all dealer charges, therefore saving me thousands of dollars by avoiding dealers. Not only was he helpful and a magician with his negotiating prowess, he was super friendly and even had the nerve to joke around with me by saying I'd missed the great deal he had when I agreed to pay the deposit, something I appreciated the hell out of. He has remained in touch with me since the deal was agreed to and has even put up with me being annoying and second guessing things and worrying about things I need not worry about. As of this moment, I am 100% satisfied with Carconnect and especially David and would use their services again in a heartbeat, as well as recommend them to anyone and everyone I speak to about my car.

**I will note that I haven't received my car just yet, as it has a December delivery date tentatively set, but I am confident that the rest of the process will run smoothly and am thus far fully satisfied with my experience with David and Carconnect.**

Unethical – Unethical. Salesman promised to give me a great price. Eventually gave me a price $1,500 above the sticker price. Got the car from the dealer $2,000 less than sticker price. Don’t be fooled by their bluffing and bravado. Go to them well armed with knowledge.

Easy, Quick, reliable and caring – They helped to find the brand new model in the colour I wanted at even slightly cheaper rates! I have been looking for the car I wanted for weeks and visited all the dealership in person and been advised there are 1-2 months wait time but Joshua @ Carconnect did the miracle for me ! It also made the whole process of paperwork and etc much easier to eDoc, and it was a very pleasurable experience !! Highly Recommend them.
