When I picked up the car, it was very smooth, and really didn't have to check that additional items had been done/completed. The car was ready when they said it would be.
My 2 year old daughter (at the time) normally never likes talking to people she doesn't know, but they were so easy going and friendly that my daughter was happy to have a good chat with them and also have a photo.

We actually decided to leave, but once we got back to our car, we talked about how professional and kind he was. Because of his great service, we went back inside and looked at newer models. He gave us a great deal and kept all his promises. We ended up buying an almost brand-new car over our original budget because we trusted him so much! I really recommend him he is great person.
Unfortunately, the experience changed when we went to the add-on department for window tinting. The salesman there was very rude, loud, and pushy. At one point, he told us, "I have other people waiting for me, take it or leave it." He was so unfriendly that we decided not to get the window tinting there. It is a shame because we really wanted to add it, but we chose to go to a different shop instead. If the first salesman, Julian Montes De Oca, had handled this part of the sale, we 100% would have bought it. The first salesman was fantastic, but the service in the add-on department was very disappointing.
We had a great experience with Han. He was very helpful and provided outstanding service while assisting us in finding the right car for our needs. Highly recommended!

Purchased a 2019 used Pajero. Not wrong when they advertise as Quality used vehicles . We are so happy Immaculate condition and only 43K on clock. We opted for Paint Protection, 5 yr warranty and Window Tinting and no mucking around it was ready in record tme. the test drives and paperwork as I had to fit everything in between clients. I obtained the car loan myself although he offered other products. The car did take a week for the detailing, tinting and colour protection. He added the dash cam and dash carpet. He was always resoectful, courteous and although offered products etc, he never pressured me like others have done previously. I recommend him highly and he deserves another employee of the month and a raise!!

Purchased a beautiful BMW from Hughes in Welshpool, March 2025(late review). When the Business Manager (Jack) was going over my paperwork he explained it add coverage for a car care package which I thought was odd because I never agreed to anything. He never mentioned a fee. the vehicle cost. He then explained that cost was for the car care package. I said, I was never offered a car care package and I never authorised it. He then said he would remove it from the finance. When asked why it was added he simply avoided the question and seemed annoyed I questioned it. Afew days later I was reviewing the service history through the vehicle Info system since there is no log book. I noticed the vehicle had not been serviced in 4 years. I rang and questioned this and they stated they usually service the vehicles but this must have been missed. They said my salesman was off until the following week but in the meantime he offered to get me in for an oil change ASAP on the Friday which I accepted. but the vehicle still had not had its recommended full service. I waited and assumed the salesman would reach out upon his return to assist in recifying the service issue. He never did. Now I am stuck for that cost of around $450. Then I reviewed my paper work and realised the rego had expired the same week I purchased the vehicle. I had been driving for more than 2 weeks with an expired rego. Again, I went in and explainded this on a Saturday. The individual I spoke to said it was unusual because if the rego is close to expiry they usually renew it for 3 months. Somehow this did not happen. I later also recieved a call from the DOT. Thet stated that the previous owner was there and there was an issue with the transfer of ownership. Apparantly, there was something the dealership did not do correctly. The DOT requested I take a photo of the rego to prove the vehicle was in my possesion and send it to them which I did. The vehicle is very nice however, I wish the service history was up to date. The worst part of all of it is the dodgy tactic of adding unauthorised costs to a vehicle transaction. This wasn't an accident or oversight like the other issues I described. It was deliberate fraud. I will neverpurchase another vehicle from this dealership. Beware, read your contract thouroghly before signing.

respect as being reflective of his great customer service! I also found Han extremely non-pushy, and allowed me to take the car for a test drive on my own which I felt much more at ease and comfortable in peace to make my own informed decision if the test driven car was right for me. Alas to say the car was right for me and paperwork arrangements were processed fairly rapidly. Since my intention was to take out finance, Sianne was attentive and assuring to finding me the best possible loan repayment option and answered any question I had around finance and warranty. Des was also great at explaining warranty and aftermarket vehicle extras and he assured me he had been in his role for 30+ years so I felt I could place trust in his professional knowledge around those areas. From the first email of finance requirements to picking up my car, pre-approval of finance and final offer of collection was all within a week! Sianne despite being a busy person was still able to take a call with professionalism, warmth and offered a courteous confidence building attitude and good advice on anything I was uncertain about. I highly recommend John Hughes when considering purchasing a vehicle, no doubt both used or new vehicles you should find a great purchasing experience. I would consider purchasing again from this dealership.

I appreciated most was how patient and honest he was—there was no pressure, no upselling, just genuine advice to help me choose the right car. He answered every question with confidence and really knew the vehicle inside out, which made me feel completely comfortable with my decision.
The car itself was in excellent condition and exactly as advertised. Han made sure everything was prepared properly before handover, and he even followed up afterwards to make sure I was settling in well with the car. That level of care made the experience feel much more personal.
Overall, I’d highly recommend John Hughes to anyone looking for a used car, and I’d especially recommend asking for Han.
