Disgusting business to deal with. Part of my lease includes fuel, with an EV you could initially charge from home and recover that cost. Part way through the year last year they removed this option and instead only made it so you could claim 4.2c per km travelled. CAN NOT claim this method, effectively making it so you can not claim fuel for the remainder of the year! This means that as part of my salary sacrifice that I make it includes my fuel costs, and now I can't claim that back. What is worse is now I am also paying for the fuel TWICE!!

This company is deceitful and miserable to deal with.

DO NOT give them your time or your money, just get a normal loan, they're cheaper...

were advised that our dossier had been closed and that the insurance on our car had been terminated effective 02/08/24! I can’t believe our car has been uninsured only to tell us a month after it was terminated?

If we were told sooner, we would have paid off the car as soon as we knew it affected the insurance or at least arranged for temporary insurance.

Even after the vehicle has been declared a total loss and insurance settlements have been finalized, Autopia has failed to fulfill its responsibility to terminate the lease agreement. As a result, I am still being charged monthly fees for a vehicle that I no longer have in my possession, and which has been fully compensated for by insurance.

I urge anyone considering Autopia Lease to proceed with extreme caution. Their incompetence and lack of accountability are evident in their handling of my case. Spare yourself the headache and seek out lease providers with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.

joke! Communication is very slow as well, like they don’t care about you.

So, all the reviews here are spot on. Try to talk to your HR office and show them Autopia reviews from Product Review site, and explain that many people have been financially broken because of them.

Also, they don’t have google reviews, because they know they have hundreds of unhappy customers. The websites to check for independent reviews are: goggle reviews, au.trustpilot, productreview.com.au.

Try these providers just to compare and you will feel the difference: I found the most reliable in the industry are: easifleet.com.au, novatedleaseaustralia.com.au and leaselab.com.au.

Just take a look at Novated lease Australia on trustpilot website, and go to a negative feedback section, you find that for the most negative feedback the CEO Bevan Guest gives sincere apologies himself and looks at the matter himself for a further investigation.

Autopia needs a new management team to run a company in a more customer happy/friendly way and learn from other lease providers and how they do it.

to an overspend of over $1,000. I only realised when I noticed an ‘adjustment’ on the next extension. When I made a written complaint, and provided written evidence of the discussions and confirmations of km’s to be budgeted for, Autopia admitted their mistake. However, they refused to make any financial compensation, beyond not charging the management fee (which is a fraction of the amount owed), arguing the additional value was consumed. I then took this complaint to NSW Fair Trading, who determined the matter did not fall within their jurisdiction, who then sent me to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). Unfortunately, it turns out that Autopia is not a member of the AFCA, so they can also not accept any complaints against them. Consumer beware, Autopia will not take any significant financially responsibility for their mistakes, even if you confirmed the details prior to the lease starting. Not recommended anymore.

the fuel is all covered based on the yearly kms that we chose, which is $10k kms per annum. As per ACCC website, ‘business must not mislead customers, information must be accurate and truthful, silence can be misleading’. This is what we currently experience, before we signed up we never been told about all this budget, but now as the fuel cost has increased , Autopia started to came up with this & that budget. This shows that Autopia is very misleading & to us as first time ever took a car lease. Even we’ve emailed the original staff , he never come back to us with an explanation?

So yeah, just a warning to you all who are thinking to sign up with Autopia, better not, just go ahead with other company and make sure there’s no hidden cost/budget that will come along when cost of living increases.

Got screwed over – After initial consultation I was advised that Autopia will take on my car lease as I was changing pay roll companies. That was 6 mths ago and am I yet to hear from them. through some changes and he reassured me in choosing Autopia. In less than a week, the application was ready and I picked up the car from the dealership with no more papers to sign. One other factor that made me accepting their offer is because my employer has some benefits with them.

It might be true if you save up the money and buy a new car without leasing you might end up spending less but for me at this stage having peace of mind and not worrying about insurance, assistance, servicing the car, etc was the best option.

Wish Id read review before signing up – The whole point of the lease is to have all the vehicle expenses included in a monthly amount. After signing up with I now discover that budgets for all expenses (including their own fees) are much lower than the actual costs. Might as well be a scam – -10 stars. This company is structured so the credit Ombudsman has no jurisdiction. The only way of securing lost/stolen monies is by going after their underwriters BOQ Finance or whoever they use now. NOVATED LEASES should not be used through them. Faught for an extensive period with them to only regain roughly half the money owed to me.

14 years with them and they are not what the use to be – I have had many cars as novated leased through Autopia since they began really. They have always been so helpful, proactive and I've always had an account manager who I can talk to at any time. they couldn't do well at all there.

I then changed employers and they took 3 months to re-establish the account despite many many calls and emails. They continued to fail to pay St George the monthly lease fees until I received 3 notices of 3 months of no payments, each time I contacted Autopia and they claimed it was St Georges fault (I spoke to St George, there was no issue on their side).

I have just received a notification of 2 uninvoiced fuel receipts from the Shell and Caltex fuel cards from April and July 2018, these were from a lease that ended in August 2018! They are chasing me now for this!!!

My recommendation is to stay far away from Autopia, they are not what they use to be!

Autopia did not. They had also over calculated my contributions so I was in credit and when I asked how it was the refund calculated they just directed me to my Employer who said they did not know. I spent 2 days myself trying to work out all the calculations and see how it was done as I never received an accurate response. My last 2 emails never got a response at all.
