Rust/corrosion not covered under 5 year warranty – Purchased this 8kg Front Load Washing Machine through Costco coming up to 4 years ago. After taking the front panel off to clear the pump noticed the bottom of the machine had started to corrode under the panel. photos of the machine. Third email was a reply that the rust is not covered in the 5 year warranty. This is the response received by whirlpool. “The rust in the unit is usually not covered under the warranty. It occurs due to surrounding moisture and in order to remove the issue of rust, Maintenance and cleanliness of unit is must. Since rust are external issue not a manufacturing defect, we are unable to assist you at the stage. Please keep unit safe and clean in order to avoid further rusting of the unit.” It’s a washing machine that has water going through it at least 4 times a week. And the rust was covered by the front panel. The area has never been under water
Questionable performance and service – Do not buy. Problems with operation since buying and no resolution. The before is with standard clothing. Control dial/display is ok except for timer and spin drying cycle. Clothes are always soaking wet…even delicates. Cycle times seem useless…5 mins ends up being 10-15 minutes. Show details
Poor design and materials – Purchased washer 6 months ago, this morning the seal is torn around the door and water all over the floor. I’ve had my previous LG machine for over 7 years and was hesitant to change but a very good sale enticed me. I’ve never seen anything like this, what a poor design to have failed so rapidly. Even with a warranty, the inconvenience of this is not worth the hassle. I regret making the swap to Whirlpool. Show details

Terrible service – Just had the washing machine for 10 months and it's already playing up. Washing cycle stopped and door doesn't open. Rang whirlpool and they asked me to wait for 3 business days for a technician to come out. I asked if they can speed up the process, they said no as they have hundreds of brands to deal with. said was due to something inside which was loose from most likely its shipping into Australia. In recent times the machine has been terribly noisy , but now I'm awaiting since discovering last Sunday 25.07.21 that my machine is not spinning at all, I've contacted its warranty's technicians again who have replied back that they are awaiting on the parts which surprised me because usually they need to first have their technician assess the product & be able to determine its fault, & not just based on the owners description of fault which is implying to me that they must be aware of a routine fault in these Whirlpool products in their early use which is alarming. I live on my own and only use the machine to wash my Coles supermarket work uniforms in one load & then after do one load to wash my towels so this is from much use either.
Very pleased – Easy to use, quiet. Washes extremely well. The "Mixed" cycle is economical and only takes an hour. The "Cotton"cycle takes longer, depending on the weight of the load, but is very good. Wide range of cycles. Show details

Very quiet machine, easy to use – This machine is very pleasing to look at and operates extremely quietly. On first use, I did notice that some smalls became caught in the rubber seal, which didn't happen on my previous model. On enquiry I was advised to use laundry bags. Show details
So Far So Good – purchased a front loader to allow for bigger loads. so far the machine has meet our requirements & performed as the sales guy said it would. appears to be louder than our 16yo top loader in some stages of the cycles a disappointment was no instruction manual was received with product and the basic instruction sheet provided was damp inside the machine also need to remove small amounts of water from rubber seal after each wash Show details
So glad our old machine broke down! – The cost to fix our old machine sent us to the shops. We took the sales guys advice and bought a brand that specialises in washing machines and not electronics. Simple to use, and results excellent – This is our first front loader. Bought to replace top loader on its last legs. This machine is so easy use. I love the adjusting time feature based on load weight. The quality of the wash is excellent, and love the 1 hour mixed wash feature. The 30 minutes is excellent for school uniforms mid week. We are a family of four. High recommend Whirlpool. Also left a similar review on the retailers website before I completed this. Show details
Standard bearer washer – Have used the washing machine for 5 weeks now and this front loader washer is a generation ahead of the previous washer I had. As a cyclist I am constantly washing and wearing, so ease of use, economical use of detergent and water, as well as good power consumption rating are what I value in a new washer. This Whirlpool does all of these things superbly.
It is good according to it's price – It workes well but in comparison with my previous, it's cycle times are too long so I prefer to use Rapid 30 minutes and it is kind of splashy.The price was really reasonable. Show details

Washing machine – This machine does everything I have asked of it. It is very economical on power and water consumption. No damage to any clothing. The cycle times are excellent you just set and forget. Extremely easy to use. Exceptional value.
