bulbs 3 months ago and they have failed and I'm not happy with these low beams bulbs can I get a refund, as they keep failing?" They asked for proof of purchase. They looked on my club account for the recipt and found I had exchanaged the low beams 3 times. I even showed them my purchase and told them the dates of purchase for the low and high beams on my bank account, and was told by the rude cashier "we're not covering under it warranty". Showed them outside and it worked, then as they went inside it didn't work. and sure enough the bulb wouldn't turn on.

called up from outside and asked for them to come outside and look again, and was told "You came in earlier today and it worked and now you're coming in and it doesn't work..." which I replied "then it must be faulty..." She argued back and I said I checked the connections and everything to which she said in a rude and obnoxious way with a face "You need to go to a electrical sparkie" I told her these are brand new headlight assemblies and it can't be a electrical fault." besides the last service was at 90,000kms they found no issues with the battery or or electronics, and when I came to the store, my car currently had 100700kms I asked to speak to the manager she said I already did. She walked off in a huff to the store and I was waiting outside for 10 mins and she even looked outside and saw me waiting for the manager, and eventually the manager came out and she unplugged the bulb and plugged them in the other way, and the bulb turned on. She said "These bulbs are reverse palarity. I didn't know that, neither did any of the other staff know".

They should've asked another staff member in the first place about why the bulb was not working properly, instead of this whole drama.

Was a long time customer, and club member and would always buy my car cleaning products from there beacuse of the friendly service for Jordie and the other staff. Not anymore. Will be canceling my club memer account and will not be buying from there anymore and will find another auto parts store to buy from. Just disgusted of the way that staff member was acting and the way I was treated.

I had a very disappointing experience with Supercheap Auto Kotara. During a battery change on 30 May, a staff member snapped a bolt securing the battery. I bought 3 cans of Color Spec base paint at $45 a can from Coffs Harbour store. Super dear! store to find the last one with a ‘Display Box Only’ sticker on it. The box contained the item I was after, BUT it had been opened so was actually could be either used or soiled stock! A sealed box with the original seal intact is the guarantee of a new, unused item. It was missing here!

I didn’t get the product I’d originally traveled into town for, that is a brand new unopened product at the store that I was told by your company where stock was held. I had to travel further than planned and accept (if I wanted the model I was looking for) a soiled open display item.

No extra discount for a this was offered and no apologies were offered. This has soured my interaction with Supercheap and will colour my actions when next I need something for our cars or caravan as there are a number of other similar outlets in Toowoomba I could go to.

and the details said, "One per vehicle". I think it is reasonable to assume that they mean two brakes shoes to a packet, so you need two packets.

3. The the add for the Bendix Brake shoes, says in the fine print "4 Shoes".

4. So it seemed reasonable to assume that if I bought the Trade Link brake Shoes, I would need 2 x 2 packets - as it showed two shoes to a pack, and nothing else.

So I bought 2 packs of these brake shoes.

The magic is that these are "special order" and the people in the store, probably would not know how many of these shoes are in the pack... because the packs are not in the store to examine.

OK so I got the order from the Supercheap online order, delivered by courier and the box felt "kind of heavy" for two brake shoes - It was the weight of FOUR brake shoes....

I opened it - and there were four brake shoes.

Given the distances, frequency and the amount of properly braked stops - as I usually dethrottle and slow down gradually before the turns, traffic lights etc., and I make very little braking per 100Km..., one set of brake pads would last 1 or 2 million Km.

So now thanks to Supercheap Auto's poor marketing, I have 2 life times sets of brake pads.

I then tried all the rigmerol of their emails with lots of dead links to dead webpages on returns, so I got into the chat....

They programmed it to keep repeating, "What is the nature of your inquiry?" like 5 times.

No one responded in the chat, within 40 or 50 minutes.

So I called the Supercheap Help Line on 1300 175 010.

In the 40 or 50 minute wait time, I drafted up an email, with contents similar to this and asked for a refund on the second set of shoes - and I told them if they want to send up a courier to pick them back up, that is fine by me - then I sent it to the Supercheap Customer Service at onlinesales@supercheapauto.com.au

After being on hold for so long, the "The Great Indian Customer Service" person answered.

She asked me, "How can I help you today?"

I replied, "I have sent the issues though as an email to the online customer service".

She does not ask me for my email address so she can look it up, she then asks me, "What seems to be the problem?" - which is the first step to going around in circles and wasting your time.

I told her, "It's all written up in the email".

She continued with her go around in circles rhetoric, so I told her, "Ask me for my email address, so you can look it up".

She then said, "Oh I am sorry, I cannot do that".

Having become an expert on avoiding time wasters in foreign call centers, I just hung up and left the call.

So now the email with the issues is in writing, with the Supercheap Customer Service.

I expect this to go as badly as they have always done so in the past.

Probably nowhere.

I have also done a charge back on the second set of brake shoes by paypal - on the provisio that they "Supercheap Online" organise the couriers to do the pick up, and pay for them, themselves.

Yeah a small update.

They did change their website advertisment - to include no details at all.

morning (15/12/25). I was the only customer around. The man at the counter wouldn't even make eye contact. I asked if someone could please fit the bulb for me. In the middle of asking, he straight up said NO. Then abruptly explained that they only have two staff members on. (Yet it only takes one to fit a bulb). The service would have taken 3-4 minutes topps. I was the only customer and there was no one in the carpark outside the store but me. On the Supercheap website, it says nothing about having to schedule the service. It just says something along the lines of 'this is a service they are happy to provide anytime'. The man at the counter wouldn't even look at me and offered no follow up advice. He treated me like I was an 'annoying customer' who was asking the impossible. His only suggestion is that I try another store, to which I would have to drive further with a busted indicator. (The store I had been going to is near my house and I can get there making only left turns). Very dissapointed to have been denied the service I want to pay for on three occasions and I still do not have my issue resolved. I've been shopping there for many years. I won't be shopping there ever again.

 Follow-up  · The bulb type was extremely common and I had bought it from Super Cheap two days earlier. Fitting process was easier than I thought. I went to Autobarn and the guys there were fantasstic! Very accomodating. A gentleman came and fitted the buld in just a few seconds. Something Supercheap is supposed to do but clearly didn't want to.

THE REVIEW - 4 OUT OF 5 STARS GIVEN Good speakers, packaging could be better Speakers have good sound, easy to install. No damage on outside of box, however the packaging inside had shifted creating a kink on delicate lip of speaker that absorbs bass movement. I live over 100ks from town so went ahead with install. Ordered a HardKorr light bar on Black Friday with delivery promised for early December. Two months later there was still no sign of delivery, and I had to swap to another product just to get something ASAP. There was no tracking and poor communication throughout. When I got home I didn't realise I could have gone next to to auto barn. Woman aged 60, would have appreciated if the staff had told me to try auto barn. If I could give zero, I would. They say they’ll deliver by a certain date and they don’t. It’s virtually impossible to speak to someone, their tracking is useless. Don’t use you are better off with Amazon or eBay unless you want to be frustrated.

prices for same item , regular retail $1149 at supercheap and $1032 at repco for exactly the same product i contacted supercheap to either price match or cancel my order and refund so i can save the $75 they were overcharging for the same product, they confirmed repco was cheaper and cancelled my order but did not send me issue refund for the $850 i had paid and I was unable to purchase with repco while repco's promotion lasted, I am hoping the refund will finally arrive at some stage but I am so disappointed I have not been able to take advantage of promotion at repco beacuase of supercheap holding my refund For anyone reading this I would not recommend supercheap and please do compare prices at repco as i have noticed lot of the common products are marked at higher prices at supercheap auto
