have never done this, that he will only match individual packs, and that either I was wrong or the previous staff members who served were wrong, every one of them over the last five years, as well as the staff at other pet barn outlets the couple of times I went to those.
All this despite 48 packs being a standard way of selling Royal Canin cat food, and being the way Petbarn's own website sells and packages the food.
The man serving me was also not very polite. Since I needed the food, I paid the higher price, but I have no intention of going back. The only reason that Petbarn is affordable is because they price match, and if they are going to arbitrarily change their policy and then rudely tell me that I am just going to have to pay a higher price or leave, then I am not going back. I finally decided to set up auto delivery with a competitor.
I do not recommend shopping at Petbarn since at least some of their staff will tell you that you are the problem when they change their policy; and it is not worth it if they will only price match individual packs, since the competition will always be cheaper, and sometimes even their own website will be cheaper.
Very easy to buy from them when paying by Debit / Credit card but not so much when paying by PayPal because you have to tick "I am not a robot" because the PayPal links jumps straight to that. The staff at Rockingham WA store are amazing! On 24 Dec 2025 I placed an online order which included 10.5kg bag of Hills dog food and 2 small goat antlers.There was a small error, which is to be expected at such a busy time of year. On Saturday 8/11/25 I used the app to purchase the EZYDOG Drive Dog Car Booster Seat for my little Bichon Frisé dog Beau, & happily discovered that I could select a delivery for the same day to my home within 2 hours of placing my order on a Saturday! Not only was this such a convenient option but it was also an impressive fast delivery.
Key points that made my shopping experience more enjoyable are below:
1) App Navigation: Navigating the app is easy and hassle free. Was able to quickly search the menu, find a good quality dog car booster seat, add to my shopping cart, then select my chosen delivery option for the 2Hr Delivery, proceed to checkout & make my payment. Done quickly and effortlessly.
2) Multiple options available in the app for Collection of your items: In Store Pickup, 2 Hour Delivery, Next Day Delivery, Pick A Day & Time, Standard Delivery.
3) Up to date Email notifications: • 3:55pm Order Confirmation. Our team will pack your pet’s goodies shortly. You will receive a confirmation email once your order is ready for pickup by our delivery partner. • 4:01pm Your order has been shipped! 4) In Store Staff. The store staff picked & packed my order quickly, promptly sent out the email notification + tracking information. After receiving the delivery, I had a question about the product & wanted some advice about the setting up of the booster seat in my car and restraining of my dog, so I called the Hendon store from where it was delivered from. Spoke to a really helpful staff member named Aidan who was polite, patient, & able to explain everything regarding the product perfectly.
I will definitely use the Petbarn app when shopping for my pets again in the future.
Highly recommend that consumers consider using the Petbarn app for ease of use and convenience. Saves time and great for people who don’t have transport or are unable to drive to the store.

My cats love the tower I bought! Excellent price and being delivered for free to my house within an hour of purchasing it was crazy.
We have got15 kg dry food on special. Ad it was over $49 we got free delivery in about 1 hour after we ordered. Was delivered by very nice uber dryer. I was Abel ro put note about close gate and gave info about delivery. It was incredibly that you could choose day and time for delivery. Will be buying this way again as I am 70 yers old and it was delivered effortlessly to a door. Great setvice

this promotion (in fact they were mostly not even urinary cat food - just lots of other products and none were buy one get 50% off the second one). She refused to transfer me to someone who may have been able to help so after that hour I've given up and will spend my money elsewhere. Fake promotions are illegal and incredibly frustrating for customers.

it and became passive aggressive in second phone call, order was only partially fulfilled but they refused to take a complaint. The department of fair trading was contacted, they escalated the matter and were lied to by petbarn so this issue runs deeper than just frontline; evidence provided to department of fair trading that they had been dishonest; fair trading tried to contact them that the case remained open but then they became unresponsive. Luckily, I had already organised a chargeback via my credit card issuer as they really didn’t want to refund me for the goods they did not deliver. Mistakes happen, this complaint has to do with the reinforced lack of regard for customers, the escalation avenues failing is not acceptable for a retailer this size.
Follow-up · The original delivery estimate was 4 hours, the price for delivery was around $17. Once the four window lapsed, I contacted customer support who were very rude and I wrote to customer care saying so. They advised a dog toy was not available I said that was fine. Every single time we have booked our dog for a grooming there has been a reason why they couldn’t do the booked time. Most of the time we then have to leave the dog there all day which leaves him very stressed. Price and quality are good. Delivery lets them down which is an Australia Post issue. Auspost didn’t leave the 15 kg bag of dog food in the safe delivery spot so now I have to take an hour to visit a post office at a busy shopping centre and find a trolley to collect a heavy parcel which defeats the purpose of the convenience of regular online… Read more
deliveries. Our parcels are always left by our front door which is behind a brick wall and under cover. I used to order thru another online pet food company who use a different carrier so unfortunately it seems I will have to change and Petbarn will lose a customer.
EDIT: Petbarn told me that Australia Post could have left the parcel in a safe place but Australia Post said it required a signature. Seems there’s miscommunication.

noted toys “aren’t designed for chewing or pulling,” despite the clear manufacturing defect. She then checked my account and claimed no record of the purchase – not at Robina or any Petbarn store. This implied I was scamming them, leaving me feeling humiliated and unwelcome.
We promptly left, abandoned the remaining puppy classes, and won’t return to Petbarn. Expect better from a pet-focused retailer: accurate records, empathetic returns for defects, and staff training on customer service.
