Will Only hurt your credit score as they won't report your loan repayments or loan payout to your credit file – I ended up having to take out a commercial loan for a car through this company in 2021 as my work vehicle broke down. This was my first time getting finance for myself so my credit file was clean in terms of defaults or anything like that. they offered a 21% interest rate and added roughly $2000 in a risk fee. the loan so I could get back to work and figured at least when I pay it off it'll be good for my credit rating. I managed to be ahead of my repayments and even paid off my loan 3 years ahead of schedule. I was proud of this achievement and was excited to see my credit score improve with having successfully paid the loan. I asked when that should be added to my credit file and was told that they don't do positive reporting. Only negative. So with having them do a hard check on my credit when applying for the loan, taking a loan from this company has only hurt my score overall because they won't report the repayments or the successful payout of the loan. This in my opinion in unacceptable. Do not engage this company for finance.

wife is now happy and i feel allot better having my children in a new car. Especially in harsh tasmanian conditions. And the whole process took about 3 weeks but that was on me as i was away for work but once i was home and chose a car it was settled with 24 business hours. Cameron made the process so easy and made me feel comfortable taking out a loan from finance one. Im very happy with the weekly repayments. And ill happily be taking out another loan with finance one in the future for a car for myself. And ill be requesting to deal with cameron again. This bloke needs a pay rise or a promotion for his outstanding work and the level of pride he takes in his customers and his work. Honestly one of the best finance companies I have dealt with – UPDATE: 2025 I have just gone for my third vehicle loan with Finance One and true to form, absolutely amazing! The interest rates can be high but that is because there aren’t as many restrictions on who you can buy from, age of the car etc. also they give you a go if you have poor credit which is a leg up for anyone needing help with finances.

I particularly dealt with Codie (and Melanie)and if fabulous customer service doesn’t have a picture of them next to it, I would be disappointed. The turn around time was exceptional. The availability Codie had to take calls and respond to emails was second to none.

Very grateful for all of it!

Would not recommend very very high interest plus risk fee at start of loan for example I borrowed $12,000 and total loan was $22,400. Also customer service is rather pore paid out loan then has taken them weeks to update credit file and when I questioned it excuse was oh we can only do it 1 day a month Show details

I was late for payment one month and they allocated the subsequent payments incorrectly and reported it as multiple late payments to Equifax When I made a payment I specifically told them I am paying for a particular month and that was paid within 2 weeks but they Weng and reported

1) – Misleading T&Cs regarding fees 3) – Misleading and/or non-existent T&Cs regarding how interest is calculated and applied. 4) - Despite claiming to be a member of AFCA on their website, they used another entity which isn't a member of AFCA for the contract, so you effectively have no recourse. Only to find you effectively have to pay most of the interest on the entire life of the loan even if you make additional repayments. There was also additional fees of nearly $2000 hidden in the loan, which I am also locked into paying the next four years’ worth of interest on , despite paying out early. None of this is specified in the contract. As the entity the contract is with is not a member of AFCA (different entity to what is advertised on their website – very sneaky), there is nothing you can do about it.

Don’t use this company, They stitched me up on a finance deal with high repayments and didn’t want to change the terms of the contract where most finance company’s would . I borrowed 40k in which cost me over 60k in the end plus exit fees and ridiculous interest. They are leaches don’t us them. Show details
