It looks really nice but it is so bloody uncomfortable :( I can’t even sit on it. My back hurt after maybe 20 minutes, even the cushions are hard! Considering the price i was shocked at how hard and uncomfortable it is :( Show details

We are still waiting for missing parts (H annd I) and and multiple emails resending photos and codes and explaining the same issues over and over with no resolution and no replies since 26th of December. I have emailed several times still no replies. When can we get the parts that we purchased for? And please collect the wrong parts you guys sent also.

Quality sofa, but what got me to buy a second sofa (the Tokyo) was how great it was to have it delivered quickly and also how easy it was to set up. This is a great company that know how to please customers. Green sofa is the Sydney and blue is the Tokyo, both from Ecosa. Show details ·  1

The Sydney Sofa Bed is a great all-rounder couch and bed for both daily use in front of the TV and the moments you need to accomodate wayward visitors. At regular RRP, I reckon it's 'decent' but do recommend this sofa bed if you can get a discount of 10% or more on promotion, as the value-per-buck hits home a lot harder than the 2025 job market.… Read more ·  1

This 3-seater makes for a good option for many who live in apartments or don't like having friends.

Shipping in 4 large and separate boxes, it's easy to assemble and move around, but definitely recommend ample space of around 3sqm and a second person to help put it together and minimise minor spikes of frustration. It's nothing to do with the couch, you just need to move around a lot and ensure you don't lose some of the bolts, and some people ain't about that life.

The frame and fabric have been resilient to date, it doesn't appear to stain easily and matches well with neutral decors, which admittedly just means that it fits most styles that aren't super niche or glamourously ornate (my apologies if you're a Brunswick VIC native). The cushioning has been comfortable so far for seating of around 2h+ (though I admit my preferences lean on the firmer side; you won't 'sink' into the couch but it's still comfortably well-padded). I haven't had it long enough to witness any developed 'sinkholes' from longtime seating, though my rear is certainly up for the challenge in the coming months and/or years. You can certainly nap on the couch when it's in sofa mode, though for people taller than 1.6m, you'll be using a cushion propped against one armrest as a pillow or hang your calves off the other, so plan for space on the sides.

In bed mode, the mattress folds out more quickly and easily than it is to get into a modern credit card debt crisis. I reckon it's best to leave about 2 to 2.5m of clearance from the back of the couch forward, so that you can easily manoeuvre around it and along the sides after it goes into bed mode because ain't nobody got time for awkwardly shimmying between the foot of the mattress and air humping your TV to avoid standing on the smallest segment of the cushion that doesn't have a fully-flat bottom as it doubles for the back-rest in sofa mode. Whilst the foam and spring mattress is serviceable and isolates a lot of movement with anyone or any medium-to-large domestic mammal you may be sharing with, I highly recommend a mattress topper, as it's on the firm side. I wouldn't suggest daily sleeping unless you're a regular back sleeper that prefers firmer tops, but it should suffice for occasional visitors. I found the mattress where it rests in the frame itself to be a bit tight when you need to place a topper and/or mattress protector, needing to lift the entire thing out, place the fitted toppers/protectors and then wedge it back down.

The cushions that come with the mattress are decent and actually expand out to quite a decent thickness (they're vacuum-packed), so be aware of that if you like to have deep seats (or simply move them to the sides leaning against the arms). The arm rests are a perfect height for easy placement of remotes and accommodates remote caddies without hassle. Though the fabric covers (aside from the two cushions) aren't removable for machine washing, occasionally wipe-downs and regular vacuuming keeps it fairly clean and allergen-free. The entire thing does have a slight factory smell, but in a well-aired location, went away in two days.

All-in-all, pretty good value for daily sofa-bed, but I suspect many will find it ideal for a study/office, spare room or guest bedroom. There are a myriad of options nowadays, both online order and physical store, available at this price point, but as we tried out multiple options in different brand and store showrooms, we opted for the balance of convenience, price, neutral style and ease of assembly that Ecosa offered.

Great sofa – Great quality sofa and sofa bed. Ideal for a smaller space and love the green colour too! As mentioned in other reviews, cushions are firm but we like firmness. I was sceptical about getting a sofa bed as I thought it wouldn't be as comfortable as a regular sofa however this one is great! Show details ·  1

Very firm, but will use a topper to soften it in "bed mode". Inknow other models come with a storage option, personally I don't like the aesthetics as much as the Sydney. But a storage cubby would be very beneficial. Show reply

I recently purchased the Ecosa Sydney Sofa Bed and I’ve been really impressed. Assembly was surprisingly easy – everything came neatly packed and I had it set up in under 30 minutes without needing any extra tools. For a sofa bed, the cushions are very comfortable. It feels supportive yet soft enough to relax on, and it doesn’t have that “hard”… Read more ·  1

or “lumpy” feel that some sofa beds do. As a couch, it looks sleek and modern, and as a bed, it’s practical and comfortable for guests.

Very happy with the Sydney 2 1/2 seater sofa-bed which fits perfectly in my office - now also our guest bedroom. It arrived the next day after ordering, was easy to put together, is very comfortable as a sofa & attractive looking in green. Our first guest stayed at the weekend and found it perfect for a great night's sleep. We love the fact that… Read more ·  1

it is over 2m long as we have many tall family members & friends. As advertised it is incredibly easy to transform the sofa into a bed and vice versa. I'd also like to mention Rochelle from the fantastic Ecosa Team Customer Service, who very helpful both prior to the purchase & afterwards. Thank you Ecosa!

Delivery, assembly was easy and fast. The couch seems comfortable to sit, I haven’t tried to sleep on yet. Only fault is that it would benefit some handles to lift it when opening as a bed, as it’s really heavy. Show details ·  1

Really surprised! – Fabulous fold out sofa with very simple but sweet design, easy to use, great fabric, and I am told by my kids friends that it is very comfortable to sleep on as a fold out. Very happy with this purchase. Also well done Ecosa for your sustainability work - it was what sold me first but happily many other reasons to be delighted with it. Show details ·  1

Enjoying using this Ecosa sofa bed! – Had this sofa bed for a few weeks now & loving it. Very comfy to sit on & great to pull out to bed mode for movie nights. Easy to put together & lovely fabric & colour. Will use with mattress topper if having guests sleep on it for added comfort. Show details ·  1

Amazed ! – Super easy to assemble and even easier to open and fold back up. The mattress itself is very comfortable to sleep on. We often do ‘camp nights’ in the living room on this sofa as it makes our little one very happy ! Show details ·  1

Very firm mattress – We love the look of our sofa and it was easy to put together, unfortunately the bed base is really firm and not that comfortable. We’ve bought a thick mattress topper to fix this. Show reply

We are returning it – We just received the Ecosa Sydney Sofa Bed. Although assembly was challenging, we eventually managed to get it done. Unfortunately, the color is quite different from what was advertised. On the website, it appeared cream, but in reality, it’s more of an off-grey with a mustard tint—not appealing at all. Additionally, the armrests are very bulky,… Read more

and the sofa itself is uncomfortable to sit on—it's stiff, and you feel like you're slipping forward. When we opened it as a bed, there were large gaps between the mattress sections, making it impossible to sleep on comfortably. We're currently in the process of returning it.
