Easily warms our living room and makes the space comfortable in no time. It heats evenly, runs quietly, and is very easy to use. The design is simple and fits well in the room. We’re very happy with its performance, especially during colder days.

Works great in small rooms, forget about large areas – Tested in large cold living area. Temp went from 13.4 degrees to 15.1 degrees, 3 hours later. So still cold! Wife not happy. She switched it off and put on a $30 electric delonghi fan heater instead. The temp went up a degree within an hour as it got colder outside. Tried it in my cold office the next day. Went from 13.2 degrees to 18 degrees over 1.5 hours. As such, it's suitable for bedrooms, offices etc but not living areas. Show details

I GOT A DUD HEATER – I bought the heater in June last year. Turned it on this March. Continuous loud ticking 24 hours a day, even when turned off. Contacted Delonghi and sent videos of the noise. They reviewed my videos and they said they would replace it. Told me to cut the cord off so that it couldn't be used. Continually tried to contact them for 3 weeks by email… Read more

and phone calls and eventually got a new heater 3 weeks after the first phone call. Contacting them was one thing, getting a reponse was the most frustrating and drawn out process.

good heater that does the job, but my electricity smart meter goes nuts when i turn on the booster f – Nice heater that works well. But beware! When you turn on the electric fan boost switch, go outside and look at your meter (I have a digital smart meter attached to solar panels) I noticed that my most recent electricity bill was higher than usual. Having no other heating operating (I have split system reverse cycle a/c but haven't turned it on… Read more

for over 12 months) I knew that culprit was probably this heater (and I was right) as soon as I turned on the electric fan boost switch, the red light on my smart meter (that denotes power usage, every time it draws down on electricity) was starting to send messages in Morse code!!! As soon as I turned off the electric boost switch, the red light activity died down to only occasional intermittent flashing. Like I said before it is a good heater that quickly heats an average sized room, but it is certainly NOT power efficient. (well not with the fan booster switch turned on) Other than it being greedy on the electricity, it is sleek, easy to move around and sends out a nice radiant warmth. Just keep in mind that the fan boost is not good left on permanently and WILL affect your electricity usage.

Good and powerful heater – Just bought this heater last month, it took me a while to realise it's really an energy friendly product. I was intended to get a cheap oil column heater, but my friend suggest me to get DeLonghi as it's more powerful and much warmer by using the same amount of electricity. After all, it's pretty energy saving for long hour using after… Read more

testing.

It cost me around $5.03 for 7.5hrs, which means around $0.68 per hour.

If I use my air con for just an hour to warm up the living room plus an hour of using the little fan heater, that will cost me more than $2 for an hour.

So my conclusion is this heater actually is pretty good for people stay at home for long hours, but not for instant and short time warm up, like have to use it for more than 3 hours to achieve its energy saving purpose (as it cost me around $4 for 3 hours heating).

The only draw back for it is the plastic smell when it's on...it's a bit frustrating to open the window to get the smell away or not as that will cool down the area as well...hopefully it will go away soon...

Great heater that warms a room effectively – Had one of these heaters and used it in the bedroom and it worked very well. The timer is great to set the heater to come on before you get up in the morning and before bed in the evening. Only issues with it were that one of the feet snapped off so we had to do some home handymanning to make it ok to use again. After having this for a few… Read more

months we bought another heater (were convinced to buy a Dimplex OFRC24TIB 2400W Eco 11 Fin Column Heater for $20 more than this model). It was the worst! Was meant to heat up 8 times quicker and emit 30% more heat than standard oil filled column heaters, but it did not heat up the bedroom in the time it took the DeLonghi and could not heat a room bigger than a bedroom. Took it back and swapped it for another DeLonghi and it is great. We use one it in the bedroom and one in the kitchen/breakfast room (much bigger than a bedroom) and it warms up the whole room reasonably efficiently (we put the timer on about 45 mins before we get up) and is quiet. Timer, fast heating of even large rooms, inexpensive, quiet, fan for added heat cicrulation/ One of the feet snapped off

good oil – It's quiet and solid and takes time to warm up the whole room but you know it's an oil heater so no grumble here. Nobody purchases a wood fired stone oven and complains it's too slow to preheat? The boost fan is a funny design it's just a mini fan heater blows hot air instantly but as noisy as a hair dryer. not a big fan to the fan. I have a… Read more

feeling the heater itself could last many years but the fan or mechanical timer would be the first thing breaks down. Should buy most basic one and automate by smart plug.

It feels sort of more efficient than kmart 50 bucks one but will see...

Very happy – It quickly fills our two bedroom home to be cosy. Distributes heat well. Haven’t got a bill yet, but it’s seems to maintain heat efficiently as we are turning it down/ to thermostat/ off not too long after switching it on. For the price, very affordable. I’m very impressed as was worried that I wouldn’t find something suitable after reading lots of reviews of a range of heaters. Very happy! Show details

Smell no good – It heats up our bedroom well enough but I can't use it at the max power because the smell becomes too much. At lower and medium power level, smell is hard to detect. I followed the instruction of heating at highest level for at least 2 hours initially but the smell is still strong.  Show details

DeLongi oil heater modelTRRS1224T – I bought the oil heater last winter and stopped using it because of the plastic fumes. I have tried at least a dozen times putting it on but after 30 minutes the … Read more

headaches come back. I dont know whether to throw it out (it wasn,t cheap} or over time does the plastic smell go.

I have had in on for 3 hrs with the doors open to try to get rid of the smell - but that didnt work either. Could

someone come with some ideas as I cannot keep taking tablets for the headaches.

Heats up the room quickly – We purchased this for our daughters bedroom as it gets as low as 10 deg in there at night and wakes up because she’s cold. Plugged it in 30 mins before bed time and came back in and the room had gone up 8 degrees. The fan works a treat and heats the room up much quicker than an oil heater without one. It took me a while to work out how to set… Read more

the timer as the instructions were not help whatsoever. I had to look for videos on how to set it and the thermostat.

I will be purchasing another one for our sons room when he moves in there as his room is even colder.

Great heater – I’ve had my heater for a number of years and also have a smaller model which I occasionally use in the second bedroom. I leave it on the lowest setting throughout the winter which keeps the chill off the room. I very rarely have to to turn it up any higher which I would have to do if I was turning it on in a cold room. It heats a living/dining room area of a unit plus the kitchen as I can’t close that off. Show details

Lovely and cosy to sit near – Works well in a room. Only use it in the bedroom and keeps it cosy and warm. Not great in large spaces. Maintains temperature and is not noisy or gives out fumes. Easy to wipe down the dust. Show details

Perfect – This heater is perfect for heating my bedroom, it does a great job without making the room feel stuffy. Column heaters can take a while to heat up, so you need to turn it on at a reasonable hour to have your room warm when ready for bed. A great back up on those extra cold nights. Show details

Good heater good price! – We've bought DeLonghi heaters before and have always been satisfied with their products. This particular one suits our family room where we spend time before going into our lounge to watch TV. The heater still radiates heat even after it's been turned off, and it's safe when kids/grandkids are around. Show details

Takes the Chill off the room – I am using it in a medium size lounge room and it takes the chill off the room but doesn't make it warm. Which is fine for me but for people that feel the cold they would need something a little stronger. It heats to a level I would expect for that type of heater. Show details

Plastic Odour – I left the new heater on in a well ventilated room for the recommended 2 hours to clear away product odour. I used it in the bedroom that night and the fumes gave me a migraine! I will run it again to clear odours and should be ok. Other than that it was light and easy to transport and throws out a very good heat. It will replace the reverse cycle heater/cooler which I find works better in hot weather.  Show details

Great heater – I live in the country and when the weather gets quite cold overnight, it easily keeps us all cosy and warm. And during the cold days, it stays in the lounge room. We have a large lounge room and once we close everything up, it easily keeps the room warm. Keeps the missus and toddler happy so that's all that matters. I like the fan feature which can quickly heat up the room.  Show details

Best heater but making some tick tick noise – Bought this heater from Harvey Norman in April last year. Like it running without the fan though. Perfect for warming up the bedroom – This heater is great - it has even heat distribution, adjustable temperature and fan speeds. a good second heater – The heater is used as a second heater in our lounge room so when the gas heater turned off the oil heater turned on. This would conserve the gas.
