Royal Canin Puppy Dry Dog Food

Ingredients are fine, ours are still far better than the ones in the US for example. But this review isn’t about the ingredients, rather, we got a new puppy from a well-known breeder who shows her dogs, so great genes and such. Stomach wise she’s the same as any other dogs we’ve had. We’ve been giving her this for a week now in this house and in her old house she was receiving it as her food too. I fix reviews often as time goes on, so I’ll keep an eye on it until she’s transitioned to her air dried fully.
The issue? Her gas is horrible. Her poos smell like toxic waste, despite the yucca in the food and the clinoptilolite and more often than not, her poos are quite soft and the carpet needs cleaning.
Her right ear is very itchy and she scratches for a long time. Her breath isn’t great either for a puppy, puppies usually have no issues, unless it’s a digestion issue, cause bad breath is a digestion/gut thing too.
She’s still got to eat it for a week as she transitions, but I’ll be keeping my eye on her for the next week to see if it continues.

Perfect for my Lab – We have 3 month old Golden Lab boy. Based on recommendations we changed the puppy food to Royal Canin Labrador Retriever Puppy food. He loves it. His coat has got much more sheen than before and his body build is perfect. He is an active puppy and the food definitely helps him to maintain his body strength. We also noticed that his poo smells way less than before.

She eventually went off it. Good for her lol. Since being on air dried and FrontierPets with K9 Natural, her poops are 50/50, but sometimes don’t smell at all. My mum legit has to tell me there’s a poo in my room for me to notice it.
She’s still very itchy and her ears smell like yeast. I will be switching to lamb/beef/pork etc., in the future to see if this improves, as she’s likely reactive to chicken.
Her breath on the other hand is non-existent now. Great.
So still in the testing phase, even after all this time, but things are certainly looking up.
