Our Maltese-Shih Tzu is prone to sensitive tummy issues, and is generally a light eater. I've tried the food sensitive grain free Black Hawk dry food and she LOVES it!! Eating at least half as much as on other brands, her stool is more consistent and frequent, and she seems to have more energy and zest than on the previous grain free brand we tried. On the face of it, customers are drawn in to purchase this product from Jumbo Pets, because it is $5 cheaper than their rivals (Pet Circle for example). However, at Checkout, you are hit with a shipping cost of $18.85 (for post code 4556, Qld), which makes it far more expensive. So, buyer beware. This is a very good dry dogfood, yet overpriced. Good Advice – Our RSPCA prosecution dog was severely underweight, had skin issues and was taking Apoquel. Vet recommended Black Hawke Sensitive which she loves (but she loves all food), has gained weight and does not need Apoquel. Show details · 1
Added bonus skin cleared up – We were recommended by the pet food store to use the salmon dry food because of having surgery and thiswill help with arthritis and much to our surprise and satisfaction our dog lost all the red around his eyes ,mouth and feet caused by allergies We have tried so many other single protein products and all failed that we thought it must be the grass etc We now use the salmon dry cat food for our cat as well and both love it Show details · 1
Very happy with his weight! – My entire Australian Shepherd started this feed regime 5 weeks ago after discussions with a Pet Stock representative whom highly recommended this product for aiding weight loss. Poppy loves it – Poppy is my beautiful rescue dog and I have been feeding her the BH Joints and Muscle. She loves them and I have reordered another bag along with the new Sensitive Skin and Gut as she is definitely dealing with a skin allergy. Unfortunately I have cats that love them too as they try and sneak them out of her bowl so now she has to be fed separately. Poppy’s stools are nice and normal and I have noticed that they don’t seem to be a smelly which is a really good thing and she seems to be more satisfied. Another added bonus Black Hawk is great value for your money and a very helpful and knowledgeable team. I would thoroughly recommend Black Hawk whether you are a breeder or just a one animal household.

hawk food are meat and that it is made in NSW! It has also really helped my puppy with her skin irritation. Since switching to Black hawk she is scratching a lot less and her paws are less irritated than when she was eating her previous brand of food. My puppy loves the Black hawk food and I can rest assured that she is eating dog food with good quality ingredients while supporting the Australian economy but not breaking my bank account (it is also affordable!). I definitely will be sticking with this brand of food from now on.

Two of my dogs get diahorrea with the lamb and rice, changed to chicken, tolerated much better – two of my mini schnauzers do not tolerate Lamb and rice without runny poo. Changed to the chicken and rice, this is tolerated much better, but restrict amount given and top up with fresh chicken, and/or other toppings - cheese, egg, raw vegetables, apple, pear, yoghurt 2 or 3 times a week in small serves. My dogs was put to sleep because of it – I started feeding my dogs Blackhawk chicken grain free. One of my greyhounds started to lose weight and I noticed his skin and fur deteriorate. in his diet plus the person did not show any sympathy, empathy or care for my dog’s premature passing. I use to feed my dogs around two bags of Blackhawk a month and due to the lack of care and compassion I have stopped buying it and I don’t recommend it solely on the poor treatment I received.

My blue heeler with a dodgy gut does well on this – My dog has always had a sensitive gut and can't tolerate grains. So he's always been fed Blackhawk grainfree kibble varieties with some of this wet food, or the other flavours, mixed in. Now he's old and can't digest the kibble anymore so he just eats the canned food, and handles it well. His coat, his agility and his stools are all good for his age. He gobbles it up. My dogs’ favourite – I have tried a few different brands of dog food, and they just do not stack up to Black Hawk. My dogs love Black Hawk and of all the varieties, Chicken and Rice seems to be their favourite. Excellent results with the dental – At first we were worried about the size of the biscuit for our Schipperke however she had no problem what so ever devouring her meals and wants more.
