Royal Canin Adult Dry Dog Food

After introducing this to the dogs, I noticed pieces of corn in their po*p. After going to the ingredients on the back of the Pack , I couldn't believe that the first ingredient is freaking corn!!! The ingredients were not listed as they were online when I ordered it though. I ordered two bags of this rubbish but luckily the supplier agreed to… Read more
take one bag back. ****. I've since swapped my dogs again to an amazing dry dog food called 'MEALS FOR MUTTS ' . It's cheaper than Royal canine and is in the top four dry dog foods recommended in Australia !!! My dogs love it and their po*p is now nice and firm and has no MORE friggin corn and wheat.!!! Meals for mutts has no wheat or corn....... BECAUSE DOGS SHOULD NOT BE DIGESTING WHEAT AND CORN.!!!! They are dangerous space fillers! +++++++++ I STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYBODY STOP FEEDING THEIR DOGS THIS ROYAL CANINE DRIED CR#P AND SWITCH TO 'MEALS FOR MUTTS'.! I couldn't even risk finishing the first bag by giving it to the dogs. I've got it sitting in a bag in my garage instead. WHAT A WASTE OF MY MONEY! PEOPLE.... Just compare the ingredients and you'll see for yourself.
My dogs' allergies are now CLEARED UP! No more itchy ears. no more scratching, no more licking the paws, no more redness and irritation under the paws. You lot should be ashamed of yourselves and embarrassed about the ingredients you're putting into your 'Royal Canine' dried cr#p!, to sell as dog food.!!! ++++++++.... I am GLAD that I am able to not only alert people to stay away from this rubbish, but I can also help people by pointing them in the direction of an excellent alternative. 'Meals for Mutts' is a cheaper and much higher quality dry dog food. You guys won't be getting another cent from me!!!
I’ve had two other reviews for this brand, one got taken down, the other reading over it just now felt like a child having a tantrum lol. Anyway, the dogs are back to eating the Mini one, just Mini, nothing else. They seem to like it well enough for now and thankfully it still exists as a 800g bag as I really don’t need any more than this. I… Read more
had also been rotating with Advance but the last time I got that it didn’t smell like Cheezels anymore, but rather this acidic olive smell and the dogs really didn’t want to eat it anymore.
So yeah stuck with just Mini for now until something new turns up or until they get bored of it.
Grainwaves for dogs – Over all, the dog thinks it's pretty tasty. The kibbles are a bit like a grain waves chip, only fatter. This at first seemed a bit odd. But then, watching my Boxer try to eat peas, and doing her best, to stop them rolling out her mouth. I realised why this particular shape. Does she like them more than say savour life. That's debatable and you'd… Read more
certainly save a penny on the latter. Should the price increase, to over $180(currently $160AUD) I'd return to savour life and purchase this if on special. Don't think quality any better, just easier to eat
Royal Canin outrageous price rise makes it no longer affordable – Good food that has become unaffordable. I have been using Royal Canin Boxer adult and German Shepherd for many years now. It was always more expensive than the locally produced high end food but in the last year has gone up more than $40 a bag making it totally unaffordable for me. It is not that much better than the high end Australian produced food to justify this unreasonable price rise.
Mould – I purchased Royal Canin French bulldog 9kg as I always have for the past few years but after a month it appears the food has turned into mould (the food is stored in Royal Canin’s dog food container) I’m not really sure how the food turned so disgusting (maybe a bad batch or is this something that will become a regular occurrence with this… Read more
Brand?). Royal Canin’s support team have been less then supportive with their communication regarding this as well.
Ok, yeah Expensive dog food.. but this really worked and has saved a fortune in vet bills – My dachshund has terrible, costly, eczema. Each Vet visit (for just it) is $120 - $200 2 to 4 times a year, where he ends up getting long term dangerous cortisone injections to tackle it. Frequently his eczema is so infected it's a far bigger ordeal (antibiotic courses, follow up checks etc). This Dermacomfort food is $100 a big bag, he's not had… Read more
eczema since switching to it. It has Tumeric in it, and thus your dog poops will be quite yellow.
He's maintaining a good weight and good shine on his coat (Although he has other food in his diet as well as dry food).
My Chihuahua loves it – Bought this online through pet circle and it seems to be a hit with my chihuahua she looks nicely covered not fat or thin has good energy levels and her toileting in not messy.
Keeps my boys happy & healthy ! – After adopting 2 Chihuahua X's ( 10 month & 8 yrs ) I had no idea as to what was best for them. After a few trials of supermarket brands , online research from other Chihuahua owners pointed to Royal Canin Chihuahua 28. After the first taste they were hooked ! Perfect size for thier small mouths and doesn't seem too crunchy , also keeps their… Read more
coats in beautiful condition and doesn't cause their skin to itch. Both love it and grumble if the bowl is empty ! Yes ,it is more expensive than supermarket brands , but I know that it's a quality product which my 2 boys really enjoy. Quality product , widely available .
