pen/keyboard settings to turn off handwriting many times a day to disable handwriting recognition only for the tablet to re-enable it by itself. it's a case of Lenovo deciding what is best for you, in this case handwriting recognition, & you don't have the right to turn this setting off permanently. so this a warning to others that are considering a purchase of the Lenovo M11. i have also found that sometimes the tablet doesn't recognise the pen when it is tapped on the screen which means you then have to use your finger to "wake" the pen up to enable pen input. i would point out that i am not trying to use handwriting recognition but are tapping with the pen using gboard. i contacted Lenovo via the Lenovo advantage app on the tablet but i don't think my question was read by the respondent when it was suggested i disable handwriting recognition. it was suggested i contact Lenovo support via the Lenovo advantage app on the tablet which i thought i had already done but anyway i did this... again. once again i don't think my question was read when it was suggested i turn off the handwriting recognition. i felt i was struggling against the tide! i have twice reached out to Lenovo but am unable to respond to them as I use a duck email address to protect my real email address due to so many security breaches these days & it won't allow a reply. this is my Lenovo Case number 2022551973 | HA22R612 S2.
