5 Fitforlifecoach  · This is perfect! I love it! Great gift idea. Try it.
4 Gladdy Cabrera  · Magically hands on in daily life – Convenient to use, everyday help and easy, very helpful to me
2 Tony O.  · Very disappointed – Noisy. Bashes into furniture. Can't find it's way home. Charging contacts need constant cleaning or it just doesn't charge.
1 Paul M.  · Useless – Complete waste of money. Navigation is shockingly bad and gets stuck on chair legs. Choose another brand!
5 Shirl1234  · Good! – Very easy to use and fast I used it on carpet And it seems to work quite well. I have two kids who make a massive mess so it makes it easier
1 Mr Mango  · Overpriced piece of junk – So much money for something that doesn't do what it's meant too, I should just go and buy a better vacuum from somewhere else.

Worst company to deal with under warranty. Refuse warranty for reasons they technically made up. The machine with mop is extremely faulty. Just google the complaints from 100s of people all around the world. Facebook, redit ect hundreds of the exact same complaint. Then after your machine leaks on day one, they exchange it for another faulty… Read more

unit then exchange it for another faulty unit. To then blame you when that one is also faulty. Because the company is in receivership and going broke because their product is so faulty. The mops leak from day 1, they send out seals to help that leak after a few months, then apparently its our fault and deny warranty so they can save money.

They know their product is faulty, hence the seal kit that needs replacing over and over again.

Do not buy this product or anything from this company.

Makes life easier – Originally purchased from Target during a sale this robot vacuum is a great mid range offering. It cleans the general living areas (carpet & lino) more than adequately. Young helper's robovac – This vac works perfectly on short carpets and hard floors. I have a dodgy back and it helps me avoid pain. Sir Reginald Von Bartlesby, as it has been Christened by its young owner, needs only be charged and set loose onto work. One button and its off. Worth the money – I generally vacuum my house every 4-5 days. I bought my Roomba 2 weeks ago (on sale, $399)and haven’t needed to vacuum since. I actually doubt I’ll ever have to vacuum again. I schedule it to clean every day and it will run for an hour 40 min before putting itself back on charge. We have 3 carpets and it has trouble with one. This carpet has a… Read more

small section of floor space between the carpet and the lounge and the Roomba struggles with this section. It generally gets stuck and needs rescuing. I have to remember to push the carpet over before I leave of a morning. I also need to make sure no one has left anything on the floor such as laces hanging out of shoes or small toys etc as Roomba will suck them up and then as a safety feature, won’t continue cleaning. It is also quite loud. But for us, not a problem as I schedule it to clean when we aren’t home. The only problem with that is I can’t rescue it if it gets stuck and then the cleaning isn’t done. But not a big deal because it cleans daily so the floor isn’t that dirty. I can also use my app when I’m not home to tell it to do an extra clean. I wasn’t sure if this would actually work so was pleasantly surprised. The cleaning compartment looks small but I’ve only had to empty it 3 times. I did expect I’d have to do it more often. It doesn’t map your home and seems very erratic with its cleaning. It will seem to do the same sections over and over for a few minutes before suddenly turning around and leaving the room but at the end of the hour and 40 min, every area seems to be clean so there’s some type of method to its madness! I’m really very happy with my purchase and highly recommend IF you don’t have a lot of thick carpets and you wanted it to clean when you weren’t home as this could be frustrating when it gets stuck.

Great in the first year – Even though it had stacks of room for improvement, I loved it in the beginning, but as time passed it became increasingly deficient. It has had problems in the following areas... Getting stuck on furniture parts. Staying in one area for long periods. Not sucking bits up on hard floors. Sucking up then dropping out. Turning in circles for ages.… Read more

Docking problems. Battery dies without the low battery light coming on. Doing the same med-small area/corner over and over again. Going perfectly along the skirting board then randomly changing direction before its finished the run. Announcing the job's finished when there's still many bits (bird seed) on the carpet. Carpet performance is as I'd expect, not great. One mind boggling design fault is having the spinning brush on one side only... Why not BOTH sides? Currently, on hard floors it picks up around ¼ to ½ of all dust, dog hair and small bits. Also it leaves masses of fluff every time it goes onto low carpet and mats from a tiled area. I would love another one, if I knew it'd work properly for a lot longer than a year.

Really can't live without it!! – Does an excellent job in a house with two large dogs. Just pop it on when we go to the beach and the floor is clean when we get back. upgrade) and I'll continue to buy them. The only thing it doesn't do is return to base but to be honest, it doesn't phase me as I empty it and get rid of the hair and then put it back on it's base to recharge. Great technology!! Would love to try a iRobot mop, but worried it might not work as well. Maybe one of these days. For those considering buying one, seriously I wouldn't be without mine. It's a great time saver. What I would say is don't buy non genuine parts, I did and they don't fit or break, honestly wouldn't recommend them. It's rare you need the parts, I think the 3 prong brush broke once and hence why I bought the parts. Next time will pay the extra and get real parts.

We have had two machines for 3 years. They work very well if the conditions are right. Other posters seems to have unrealistic expectations. bang into fittings but we have no damage to anything. The downside of the unit and probably all the others is that the filter needs cleaning after say every 2nd trip. Otherwise you lose suction. Then you complain that it does not work. So that is a bit of a hassle. The other quibble is that you can get a service kit. But that only has one brush but more of the other components. The brush is the item that will go first and I have replaced 3 so far.

Mediocre product and terrible customer service – Product has issues with mapping and finding home base. It is outside warranty, so it is costing $127.00 inc GST plus parts (plus the drama of no autovac for days/weeks). I will provide another update soon. It does not work properly thus it will be going back to the store – We bought it for ourselves for Xmas 2022 on Boxing day. It is very loud. It crashes into furniture. It moved the side table! does not finish one room before it randomly finds its way to another part of the house. Then it runs out of battery before it can finish the house and it cannot dock. We had an Xiaomi Roborock S5 for years and loved it so much and I have written a review and many updates until it finally died. It mapped the room and systematically cleaned each area before it moved onto the next. We should have bought another Xiaomi but didn't because they have gone up so much in price! We saw the Roomba in the store and it looked like a solid build and it was on special so we bought one home. On the basis that the Roomba does not do it's job properly, we are taking the Roomba back to the store. No Robot vac could be that out of control. It must be faulty. I should have consulted product review first, I see here that the model we bought yesterday is labeled discontinued!

George Cleeny, my cleaner ;) – My iRobot 692 robotic vacuum cleaner (re-named George Cleeny) is a fantastic, understated, robust, no nonsense performer. What it lacks in fancy, costly mapping software, it more than makes up for value for money performance. floors & moderately good on carpet & will transition between the two without difficulty. When detected, it performs a more intense spot clean by turning circles around more heavily soiled areas. I empty the dust container each time (a simple slide out drawer) & clear any long hair/threads etc from the wheels & brushes each month. George has a ‘cliff’ sensor which redirects it at the edge of stairs; it runs for a maximum of 90 minutes & returns to base for charging. On the downside, it is not quiet & because it lacks a mapping capability it does need time to perform an optimal clean. Easy, when you can set it & leave! I could not be happier with my best-value little helper.

Brilliant machine. Pleasantly surprised – I found this little robot online second hand for only £20. recharged. We live in a 2 bed bungalow with a mix of carpet, hardwood flooring and various rugs and a large dog and it does a fantastic job of keeping the floors clean. It just goes to show that routine maintenance on this little thing will keep it functioning properly for much longer. It's definitely not a replacement for your everyday vaccum cleaner as you'll still need that for your car, cobwebs and odd jobs but it will save you an awful lot of time having to vaccum manually everyday.

Has completely failed just outside warranty, was moderately satisfied with it prior – After great reviews from a number of family members regarding their Robot vacuum cleaners (both Roomba and other brands), we decided to give one a go. I was already aware from family members' experience that these… Read more

vacuums are not effective on carpeted surfaces.

At first, we were reasonably happy with this product. We would run it two or three days a week while everyone was at work / school, in order to pick up the loose dust, food crumbs and pet hair through the common areas and just assist us with the weekly floor cleaning. We shut all the bedroom doors so that it couldn't travel into the carpeted areas, and lifted the dining chairs to give it a clear run around the dining table.

Most days, we would return to find it docked and re-charging, and full as expected. Occasionally, we would find it stopped in the hallway, presumably because it had insufficient charge to return to the charging dock (which was located in the dining area, approximately central to the general area for cleaning. More often than I would have liked we would find it wedged under the back of one of the recliners, having only cleaned about 1/3 to 1/2 of the area. In the end, I started moving the recliner hard against the wall so it would go behind there.

When it got the whole floor cleaned, we were very happy with the outcome. It did make a big difference to the general cleanliness of the house, and because it was operating when we were all away from home, it didn't disturb us.

I did notice that it was fairly noisy. If you were operating it while you were home, I'm sure it would be pretty annoying. It also needed some frequent cleaning above emptying the dust catcher and washing the filter (it came with two filters, so we would wash and place one out to dry after each use, and reload with the second one, ready to go). As a family with long-haired ladies, we found that we often had to remove the roller and detangle the hairs that were wrapped around it. We also used the screwdriver to regularly unscrew the little triple brush and pull out the hairs trapped under there, as they inhibited it from spinning freely. We found doing this every fifth or sixth use ensured the best operation. It wasn't particularly time-consuming, but did require a little effort.

One of the things I was initially concerned about was damage to the furniture from bumping into it. That was an unfounded concern. It would bump the furniture only very softly and we never had an issue with damage.

The biggest disappointment came after we had owned the unit about 18 months (the standard warranty is 12 months, and we didn't purchase extra). In the middle of the night, it started beeping and carrying on, and from that point, it wouldn't seem to charge properly and it won't clean the floors. We've tried all the standard troubleshooting, and nothing has worked. Considering the price (and the fact that it wasn't the bottom of the line model), this makes it a very disappointing product.

I will try another Robot vacuum cleaner, but not a Roomba iRobot.

Pros: Ideal for cleaning hard floors, especially while you're away from house, battery capable of managing standard sized four bedroom lowset home. Cons: Can get stuck on some furniture; noisy; needs regular maintenance; product didn't last sufficient time to justify the initial outlay price.

Battery runs flat, doesn't return to charge, poor service – We have all tile floors and initially the Roomba did a fantastic job of cleaning. However after only a few months the battery did not last as long and the roomba started to fail to return to the charging station. When returned for warranty they wanted to charge a $100 service fee. So good, I don't know how i used to live without it ! – Originally thought the whole robot vacuum thing was a load of malarkey... after I ran the roomba on my floors - I just couldn't wait for it to finish to check how much dirt it had picked up - and I'm meticulous with my floors.. but this just seems to find dirt.. You need to keep on top of the maintenance if you have people / pets with long hair -… Read more

take the triple brush out with a small philips screwdriver and remove any hair that's twined around the spool... then replace - same as the brush and the roller in the cage... you need to keep those clean for this unit to sweep properly. Replace the filter regularly, I've never needed to replace the battery in mine and it's been 4 years ( probably a bit longer ). If the unit can't connect to the charger, make sure that you check the silver contacts on the vacuum and also on the base as they can become covered in dirt which makes the unit think it's got a faulty connection... I just use a cotton bud soaked in metho spirits.. to stop the base unit moving when the machine docks, I've used a small piece of double sided tape and that keeps it firm while the roomba tries to dock.

Meh.. Good for small apartments and people who are time-poor? – Got it for $399 at Big W back in April. I got it on a whim while shopping with my wife. It's tech (randomly bumping around) is old consider there are others (ie XiaoMi) that have wifi, app control, mapping, and other features for a similar or slightly higher price. After having it for 2 months, here's my honest review: I have a large, open, hard… Read more

floor area (wide entrance hallway connects with living, kitchen, dining and activity area). We turn it on when everyone leaves for work and school (1-2 times a week). It does it job, vacuum the area by bumping around at random direction. It's able to go up the rug. By the time we get home, the area seems mostly clear of dust. Visible dust can still be spotted at corners or areas it can't reach. I'd say it manage to vacuum 80-90% of the entire open area.

Is it worth $399? To my wife, yes in the beginning cause she doesn't have to do the work, but later disappointed that it does not have an app that maps out where it vacuum. To me, not really. Get a dyson V7 (i use it for the office) for same/similar price and manually vacuum. It's a lot more efficient and effective. It takes this model 40-50 mins to cover most of the area which takes 10 mins or less to manually vacuum. At the end of the day, we going to keep using it. However, If I did more research, I would've saved the money for a more advance one or something else.

Nonetheless, easy to use and maintain, does its job, well built (external feels more sturdy than my friend's Xiaomi), and available at most department stores.

the Roomba to recognise it had to stop the drive wheels turning if it got jammed under furniture. I now have two fully functioning Roombas again and no carpet damage. The newer 900 with rubber brushes is far better at dirt collection than the original brush system on the 600. These reviews on the i7+ have put me off upgrading because I already know the Roomba can be unreliable. I did replace the PC board on my 600 plus numerous new batteries for both. Too complicated (and expensive) not to have access to a decent service dept. Roomba US needs a new agent in Australia. Would love a new i7+ but just too risky given the reviews.
