HP Smart Print Isn't – Since buying it, the direct wired connection does not work, per tech support you need to bypass it, so one feature down. Then while on the wifi it continually drops and it takes two to three times turning off and on even with the printer showing as being on the wifi for it to allow a connection. I have been a HP Officejet customer for almost 20… Read more

years and this one is going in the trash. They tried too many things with it, insisting on HP Smart which isn't (five times the online techs have had to reset everything to get it to work) and instead of providing a good printer we want to force you to buy your supplies from us. So no more HPs for me.

Ease and Perfection – I love how well it was packaged. It took 5 minutes from pulling this printer out of the box and it was already printing. For someone who isn’t great with technology it’s so simply to set up and use. The quality is amazing, it’s very great value for money that will complete your life. I love how fast it prints, even double sided its awesome. It… Read more

makes scanning easy. With a touch of a button it can print straight away from any device with multiple copies in seconds. With 2 boys one in High School and one in University this awesome Printer gets a workout. Perfection with ease. I recommend this product for any home or office. It completes Printing Scanning and Faxing. My family are stoked.

Great Printer – Have completed lots of printing - probably more than usual as not worried about using too much ink. Clear printing and colour ok - tried some photos and good enough for want I want, but not enough depth or variation of colours. Overall like this printer for the ease of not worrying about ink usage. Show details

good decent printer – Good quality wireless multi function ink jet printer Pro- fast print , reasonably good quality colour (not photo quality) , also like the double sided printing ! pay itself back pro- touch screen to set up

con- big size and heavy

Note-1: the ink cartridges are a bit tricky to put in against the spring... I was afraid to break it but it clicked at the last minute. Note-2: the surface must be flat or you will get paper jam ( I tried to put this on top of some item and the printer didn't like it. the paper wouldn't feed properly due to the paper tray is at the bottom) so make sure you put it on a totally flat surface that is big enough to support the entire size of the printer.

Just don't – The setup is diabolical, for example the PIN/password location is not mentioned (its inside the cartridge cover), the wifi won't connect automatically, you have to use IP - tried PC, ipad and phone. Support is non-existent - a useless bot and whatsapp with no one on the other end. Once you do get it setup it drops out constantly, then you have to… Read more

Tricky to rate Great Features, Great Price, Great Prints but Crapped itself after 18 months of gentle use – It is tricky to rate this one because of the Greater Printer Spec. and Great Printer Price a solid 5 STARs. But 18 months into what promised to be a lovely relationship, I guess/suspect during the recent 30++ degree NSW temperatures, it seemed to affect the ink supply system. and my original 9010 crapped itself, never to recover. But I had… Read more

Worst printer ever – I connected my brand new printer to my home network but often drops out, needless to say whenever I need it the most it is not connected. I brought a friend, IT Specialist of many years, he reinstalled for me, it did work for a short while then it drops again. It's like it has never been in my network ever. The app says "let's install the new… Read more

printer, it will only take few minutes depending on my network speed. I have NBN. Well the install does not even launch !!! In desperation, my friend connected with a network cable straight into the modem. This made it work for longer. But whenever I have to switch power off, say to do some electrical work at home, it always drops and we have to start over again, every time. I feel that we are in the mid 90's or even earlier when we struggled with this more, however I could be wrong, I think then connections were more reliable as being hard wired. Horrible product, never figured out how to scan, it should be easy, self explanatory. I wish to replace it with something else just don't know what.

Can’t photocopy books – The printing info screen protrudes out so you can’t lie a book flat to photocopy. How crazy is that??! All else ok once you work out the wifi connection - don’t like how you have to log in each time you need to scan.

What have you done HP ? - Nothing but a huge disappointment – Let me start by saying that beginning around 2000, in different roles that I've held with various companies I've been responsible for spending or signing off on IT purchases worth tens of thousands of dollars and at least 80% of this money has been spent on HP Products. When I wanted to buy a printer for my own home based business back in June… Read more

2021, it was a no brainer for me going straight to the HP Site and place an order especially after buying two great AIO PC's from them prior to buying the printer. Unpacked the printer. set it up and had everything working perfectly in less than thirty minutes so I of course patted myself on the back (as you do) for making such a great decision on what I had purchased. Everything was going great for around a week or maybe even two but then the paper jams started. I of course blamed myself for loading paper that had been left in an unopened pack thinking that maybe the paper had somehow got damp. Using a fresh ream of paper did seem to improve things as when I did that, it was only jamming once or twice a day. Then came the blotches and blurs over the invoices and letters that I was printing but I stuck with it and continued to put up with the problems that kept happening. When my ink was (supposably) running low, I decided to sign up for the Instant Ink program and my first cartridge pack arrived within a few days just in time for the black ink to run out completely. I replaced the black and checked the levels of the other three, as all of their levels looked to be around 30% or more I left them in service. A day or two later, the yellow had run out (after me printing invoices using only black) and then everythintg died in the bum. After sending stacks of messages and using online chat (with one chat lasting for around two hours), I had absolutely no support other that promises that my case would be escalated to a senior officer. One guy also suggested that I call someone locally but strangely the two numbers that he gave me were either not connectiong or didn't exist. It was quite obvious however that HP hadn't forgotten me altogether as they still remembered to religiously send me a bill and take the money for their Instant Ink program each and every month. Over the years, I have also been sent feedback surveys "to help HP improve their customer service" but even though I completed the surveys and made in known that I would be happy to talk to someone regarding my experiences, so far I haven't even had a single courtesy call or email.

All that I can suggest is that if anyone is considering buyin a HP Printer if in doubt, don't do it !

Over Rated and Disappointing – At the time of purchase, I had just read reviews and HP Office Jet Pro seemed to rate well. Clearly, judging by the subsequent ratings, their quality control department has subsequently closed down. actually worked it was OK, and the print quality was good, if slow. I am heartily sick to death of buying something with my hard-earned cash in the knowledge that I will spend more time fixing issues than using the product for its intended purpose. I don't work for HP or any other manufacturer of poor-quality goods and resent doing their maintenance work for them. They don't care about my problems, I don't see why I should care about theirs. In the long run, their crappy printer has cost them several more sales. I am about ready for a new laptop and main PC, certainly won't be considering HP.

Very Poor Product – Scan software and functions are terrible: The scan feeder does not work with Adobe Acrobat or other programs. Abysmal ink costs and defective software – As a former HP employee I have a certain loyalty to the company and have generally bought HP printers in the past. depleted. I tried to sign up for their ink program at $20 per month but the pin code on the printer would not work with the signup software. The only option is to buy a full set of replacement cartridges at over $300 which is crazy. I wouldn't buy an HP printer again and am now looking for alternatives. Instead of making life easier for users HP seems to be going out of their way to make their products difficult to use and to lock them into overpriced ink.

Software update has locked out non-HP printer cartridges – Bought this for home office printing during Covid lockdowns, was very happy with the performance. HP cartridges are expensive, but non-HP ones OK priced and worked well. Ruined by the software and subscriptions – I loved my old HP but it stopped working so I got a new one... Its been the most stressful 9 months with a printer. on my computer and click scan from there. I've tried setting it up but its so convoluted and throwing up errors I've given up. I didnt have all those issues with my last HP. They're making it way more difficult than it needs to be. Now, I have cancelled the instant ink subscription and replaced the cartridges with ones I purchased myself and its still charging me per page until the subscription period is over (2 more weeks) even though I've removed their ink and am using my own! So I have a bunch to print, and have to wait because I'm not paying $2 for 10 pages when its my OWN ink.

Good printer ruined by second rate software – When the printer will work, I am very pleased with the speed and quality. Connectivity is a serious problem. HP have shot themselves in the foot by releasing a product with inferior software and connectivity.

Lovely printer, pity about the support – I have been very happy with this printer. However, the output paper tray is broken and I cannot find a replacement part anywhere on the web. I truly believe that this part is not available. It is delicate and in a vulnerable position and easy to knock and break. Lovely machine, pity about the support.

Oh, and by the way, after we had had ours for a few months, we found the scanning function no longer available in HP Smart unless we created an HP account - ANOTHER account to have to sign into. After many wasted hours, i eventually made contact with a very nice person called Mark Antony in the Philippines support centre who bypassed the problem by loading older software separate from HP Smart. What a mess. I wrote a complaining letter to the company, but have never had any response.

Poor customer service – Print quality is okay for basic printing of colour and black and white documents. The paper tray feels light and cheaply made as it doesn't hold the paper in well. Printer Ink is a Rip Off – Set up our new HP OfficeJet Pro 9010. After printing approx. 25 B&W pages, the printer messages that we need to replace the cartridges. ALL the cartridges were empty. Replacement cartridges are almost as much as the printer...Seriously!!! Consider all the problems with maintenance, head cleaning, clogged heads etc... HP have made it so that replacing the printer is almost cheaper than replacing the ink cartridges. What a JOKE!!! Show details

Will Never buy an HP product again! – HP gives you a "free" six-month enrollment in their Instant Ink program when you buy this. They tell you that the printer cartridges will be free in the future. THIS IS PURPOSELY MISLEADING. Yes, they sendyou the cartridges for free, but after the six-month trial period, they charge you for every page you print!!! This is typical of HP. Show details

About as useful as an anvil for a parachute – We tried to connect wirelessly. No way it was going to happen. Tried with USB! Worked! Then it didn't. Then it did. Then it DIDN"T. It would see the printer. Then it wouldn't. Then it would see the printer with a wire a few times. Then not. Remove printer and reinstall. A few times doing that as well. Oh, the joy of a HP product. It makes you wonder could they stuff it up anymore. These people should go into politics with these skillsets. Show details

Abysmally slow. Avoid – Print quality is good on standard paper and duplexing is nice but it's abysmally slow - about 2 pages/minute. And, I was expecting to be able to use PCL, unfortunately, I didn't realise HP had developed a new proprietary PCL that's incompatible with normal tooling. The document scanner does a reasonable job, as long as you don't mind it being unable to feed straight. Show details

You’ll Go Broke Buying Ink – Sadly disappointed :/ Opted out of HP’s instant ink plan since I don’t use color ink much. Oddly I’ve had to replace ALL ink cartridges 3 times & my printer/device settings are set for BLACK ONLY? Where’s the color ink going? Do Not Buy! – This printer prints well, when it prints. If you allow one of the color cartridges to run out, you are DONE. It will not allow me to print in black. So until I can get a new yellow cartridge, I CANNOT PRINT AT ALL. I would never buy this printer again. It feels like a scam, and it put me out of business until I can get another color print cartridge. Outrageous! Show details

Don't get sucked into free ink – Spent over $400 for this printer with 2 years free ink. After six months could no longer scan from the feeder. plus tax service contract for the laptop. It took 2.5 hours to fix. I also have independent contractors at my office who bring their own laptops--they are also having issues., HP told me I could by a family monthly service plan. Ridiculous --I could just buy a new printer every year and it would be cheaper and probably have less issues.

I will never buy HP product again and I strongly advise you don't buy or don't get sucked into the free ink.

Now I either have to give up the $200 worth of ink (which is already paid for and I'm sure was built into the price of the printer) and buy printer of keep this piece of junk.
