Anywair rubbish – New Fujitsu system with anywair controller. The aircon itself is great - good unit, powerful, responsive. Anywair is an expensive gimmick. Mine was faulty from the start. Fuji techs first tried to tell me it wasn't a Fuji system. ThThedecided it was....Then took 3 weeks to replace the controller, sending out a guy who literally had never seen… Read more

one before and had worked at the company for a month. It still doesn't work. At best it provides on/off function, I have 5 zones and none of them operate properly. 2 rooms where it pumps out air - even when they're turned off - while the rest of the house nothing happens. 100% not recommended.

We cannot fault this unit – This unit replaced our old dying one which we had for close to 23 years. The Fujitsu is quiet and very reliable. We've had it now for just over 17 months and it hasn't missed a beat. It's also a lot more efficient than our old unit. It has 15kWs cooling and 18kWs heating. It's so quiet, we can never hear it running. We saved heaps by reusing the… Read more ·  1

existing ducts in the house. We also added the AirTouch controller so we can operate the unit from anywhere, which is great if you think you forgot to switch it off after leaving, or starting it whilst your on your way home.

Even, quiet, efficient comfort – We have had a new Fujitsu ducted installed with the AnywAiR controller for about a month and it works very well. Three phase 15kw unit, 10 outlets, 7 zones and 6 individual temperature sensors. Our kitchen does not have its own sensor as its part of the dining and living area but it's a zone one its own. It was mentioned that controlling the… Read more ·  1

volume of air (5% increments between 0 and 100) for a kitchen is sometimes more advantageous than temperature. With our installation the temperature is maintained very closely and it's even throughout our home and this was the goal of having individual temp sensors.

Pretty sure the zoning is an AdvantageAir MyAir system, however I am happy that its provided by Fujitsu as it limits the finger pointing for any warranty concerns and I am sure there has been thorough compatibility testing.

Speaking of Aussie made, we also considered an Actron QUE, however was several thousand more and while more advanced and has its benefits, I doubt we would have seen the return on investment. I don't think conditioning an extra room on some occasions (by the electronic constant zone) will not cost the difference over the life of the unit, especially with solar. I really wanted to support a local manufacturer and we still did this if Fujitsu's zoning system is AdvantageAir as they are based in WA.

AnywAiR does what it says on the box, however unlike an Actron QUE, you may still need an electronic constant/spill zone as the indoor unit fan cannot go quite low enough for one room. The electronic spill or constant is fairly intelligent, for example if I am working from home and have my office and lounge on, the constant zone will only open as these two zones close down and approach set temp. Turn on other zones or adjust the temp and the constant zone is closed again as other areas open up.

I am a fan of being able to set any of the remote sensors as the 'master' for the house and that is what the AC will work towards. However it's worth noting that the master zone will remain open at 100%, this obviously conditions the space the most and has the added benefit of minimising the use of the constant zone.

The other limitations to keep in mind is that if you have the master zone set at 20c and another room set at 22c (heating), depending on the local conditions and size of the zone, the unit may not achieve this perfectly, however it gets close. Ideally, you would want the master to be set marginally cooler or warmer than other zones so they can achieve the desired temp and modulate down.

The controller and remote app have been rock solid 100%. No lag, no glitches, no faults at all. The app on my phone has worked every single time whether at home or away. There was no log in to set up, it paired and that is that. As the main controller is an Android based tablet, I have been able to install other smart home software such as security camera, irrigation and garage door apps. For those that want more integration, I haven't seen any IFTTT or voice integration, however a quick google shows they are working on voice assistant integration.

As for the AC unit itself, it is amazing and miles better than the several year old Daikin it replaced. Our previous unit was a very poor excuse for an air conditioner and wasted so much time with unnecessary oil return and defrost cycles. Even after having it checked three times, it was an energy hog and we rarely used as it would add $20 a day to our bill and still leave us uncomfortable. Our new ducted shows only a marginal increase in energy usage over not running our previous unit and when I say marginal, I am talking about 2-4kw for around 15 hours of usage. I am sure during more extreme conditions this may change however I am willing to pay for the comfort.

The indoor unit is quiet and all we hear is the movement of air when standing under the return filter, even when on high. The outdoor unit is pretty quiet when idling along but does become more audible when working hard to warm a cold home. Its not an annoying sound, its really once again the sound of air being moved by the fans.

Something else that is noteworthy is that the AnywAiR ducted system comes with two wireless temperature sensors and the main controller does not have one inbuilt. Additional wireless sensors can be added at any time. No issues with their connections as we have previously experienced some weird instances of wireless interference where even our garage doors wouldn't respond to their remote and the doorbell would go off randomly so I am pleased we have had no error with their connection.

For the price and features you cannot go wrong, make sure you use a good installer as they really dictate how good a system will perform.

Thank you Fujitsu, our house has never been so comfortable and a brand I am sure I will use again in the future!

Very impressive performance – Had this unit installed in an existing home. 12 zones, 46sq home. I cannot fault this HVAC unit. It is efficient and quiet, the high static provides the correct volume at all of the registers. I'm not sure why other reviewers are complaining about poor installations, it has nothing to do with the manufacturer. We have had Mitsubishi in the past… Read more ·  1

and the Fuji is as good if not better. The previous AC was approx 10 years old and had worked hard over that time. The compressor failed. It was not economically viable to repair and our home insurance had this covered. The tech in this new Fuji is many generations ahead and the energy savings are measurable. Like all AC it is expensive to run and it also requires regular servicing. Our installer's service is great. We get them in annually in the winter months to do a full service.

DONT CONTACT service supervisor for Fugitso problems – We had our system installed while home was being built 2015 The installers did a royal mess of installing, first summer ran the system, compressor never shut off house never cooled resulted in a power bill usually round $400 belted up to over $1000 , dining room ceiling near on fell in due to faulty workmanship which resulted in a huge water leak,… Read more

contacted installers who also sold us the unit, no luck there I went on to email the S/Supervisor of Fujitsu I also spoke to this dude on the phone, This bloke said he would send a tech which he did, the tech told me himself that the installers made a total mess of the install. to cut a very long stressful story short the Service super was supposed to send a detailed report never came, after I repeatably tried to ring and email him I was ignored this bloke promised and I quote I will not leave you hanging I will follow this problem to the end to have your unit fixed, what a load of rubbish he chickened out. Initials of this bloke are G, O

I ended up threatening the installers with fair trading I told the the sellers I did not buy a unit for $13k just for show and tell if you do not fix it then legal action will take place.

Whamo they finally sent a tech mind you summer was long gone, the tech had to rewire plus fix where the installers placed an outlet pipe under a beam which squashed it, had to reroute the zone wiring which is 12 zones had to pull out a huge amount of installation from the roof space, all this was done plus more faults to many to list thankfully the system is now working the way it should, I am dreading the expiry date of the warranty by reading the reviews Fujitsu ducted systems die just after the warranty runs dry. I would never recommend fujitsu to any one for the high price of these units there s*** Mind you I am still waiting on someone to finish setting up the WIFI so the unit can be switched on and of buy phone, fat chance of that ever happening.
