pillows are needed to provide back support. As a bed it is easy to pullout but we found it to be uncomfortable and a bit too firm to sleep on. The middle section is higher than the top and bottom sections, which causes my back to over extend. I could also feel the metal frame underneath the mattress.

Placing a folded up mattress protector underneath the top section leveled out the mattress but I think a mattress topper might still be needed but have not tried it yet. Having an additional topper that we then have to store, negates the convience of having a sofa bed.

It’s comfortable to sit on as a couch, though a bit firm when used as a bed — a mattress topper is recommended for added comfort. The timber side pocket is very handy for storing cushions and pillows, and the natural look adds a lovely touch to the room. Show details ·  1

It was a little difficult to put together on my own, only because it’s on the heavier side, but it’s a lovely couch. On the firmer side, but as it’s not a full time bed, it does the job haha I’ve had a friend stay on it and they liked it! Love the pockets on the armrests, and is comfy as a couch too. Show reply

Good, no nonsense, simple to unravel sofa bed with under armrest compartments to pack away linen and pillows. Easy for two to assemble with minimal (provided) tools. Good colors to choose. (Reviewed only a month after purchase). Not the soft, sinking type. A very good sleep at floor height so must be nimble, not for those with toughened knees. Quite heavy to move/slide, bottom feet are hard plastic, wooden sides are sharp edges at bottom which does catch knees or feet or footwear. Dust gathers below and periodically needs vacuuming. Would appreciate a choice of raised feet to allow extra two inches of roomba space.

Overall enjoyed this timber sided sofabed from Ecosa, which was voted a great sit and looks by our numerous visitors and residents aged 20 to 70 at our home. Thanks for a good product.

Long shipping time but good quality – It took longer than expected to arrive but once it did arrive it was very easy to assemble and felt very good quality and is very comfortable. The cushion has the right ratio of comfort and support. The arms storage units are useful for storing remotes and what not but it would be nice if the vent cut outs were a little larger to fit an AC plug… Read more ·  1

Incorrect order – After waiting 10 weeks for the order to come back in stock three of four boxes arrived correct however the fourth box was incorrect. Problem can’t be rectified as they have sold out of the colour with no ETA for more stock. Had to send back and extremely disappointed. Show details
