few months fair trading got back to me with domayne refused to do anything with the lounge apart from a repair that I had to pay for. Fair trading told me that by Australian standards they were supposed to offer the first repair free regardless of age. fair trading told that the only avenue was to take the matter to court, and that the beleived this was a major matter and because of that I would be entitled to a refund. I decided that I would take the matter to court as this was the only avenues left. The other issue was that we where told that by the salesperson this product was made in Australia using Australian leather but throught the process we discovered that this product was infact made in China. Took the matter to court and at the hearing was offered a free repair but in doing so I wouldn't be allowed to leave any reviews. I refused the repair as I beleive people should know how domayne penrith deal with their customers. The court ruling went against me, the matter found to only be a minor fault contrary to what fair trading beleived. The offer to repair was gone but I'm happier as I rather have the lounge repair at my cost with products that I beleive are better then the chinise products that would have been supplied and I am able to make this review. As for the matter that we where told this lounge was Australian made, the only evidence we had was affidavit from me and my wife saying such but this was not enough evidence. I will never buy from any domayne again and my suggestion to any thinking of doing so either record and have written down anything your told because you may need it in court.
Excellent Service - Penrith Store Mehdi – Service was 5 star. Mehdi was not only helpful went above and beyond for example I bought a beautiful table and we swapped several chairs in and out of the table. Don’t shop at domayne – After zaveed selling us what we thought was a 4 seater lounge with a split base and cushion with a 6-8week wait, 3 weeks later get told lounge is ready and gets delivered to find it’s the incorrect lounge. sent out someone who then just gave me depillar and told me its normal for me to have to de-pill by lounge after every use. I then when was de-pilling the lounge the fabric had worn so badly in one area the de-Piller that they provided then pulled the fabric. Their response was it wasn't their issue as it was a pull (from the depillar they provided). The service although responsive has been terribly unhelpful. The first email i received back when i raised a concern was a instruction manual within a bank email with a pdf of how to depill my lounge. Instead of actually trying to help or understand my problem they've only made it worse to then claim they are not at fault. Please DONT purchase here, I have another fabric lounge from them that was great 6 years earlier that never had this issue but unfortunately the service and quality of their product has gone downhill. Zaveed, told us the lounge had a 20 year warranty, which was a big factor in our purchase of the lounge. After a fortnight we began contacting the store to get the warranty documentation and the relationship deteriorated from there. Promises of emailing the warranty to us, 'it is only 10 years', 'we/Zaveed will get back to you...' This week has brought some unsatisfactory resolution: the warranty, which was eventually emailed and also attached to the bottom of a cushion (but no one knew or told us), turned out to be 15 years. ('Thanks for educating us about the warranty' was a bizarre response), Zaveed didn't ring us as promised, but apparently admitted to saying it was a 20 year warranty...This morning's phone call ended with an apology from someone but our observations would be about very poor communication within the store and with customers. Who takes responsibility for wrong information? 'I will tell my franchisee next week' doesn't really help us. Why have we had to contact the store repeatedly for clarification/assistance? This morning's call was greeted with 'What exactly is your issue?' which makes us wonder if customer service is a priority. Zaveed was very engaging and professional during the sale but has been missing in action in the weeks since. Despite Domayne having beautiful products and extensive advertising, we won't be going back, nor would we recommend them to anyone.
Delivery Drivers – I ordered a new mattress from Domayne Penrith which was delivered today. And i cant fault the 2 drivers who were friendly, on time but went out of there way to assist me unpack the mattress for which i was grateful. very impressed with both guys and the customer service they gave. the stress of bed assembly from me. I suggest more Cook Islanders/Pacific Islanders be employed by Domayne as they have natural strength and are so personable. Great temperaments equals great customer service.
On the downside my very expensive temper mattress is a huge disappointment. I returned to the store to complain only to find out Sunita had taken the water marked cover home to wash it!!!!!!! Unprofessional and unhygienic. I was greeted with the argument that I’d purchased a mattress on “clearance”. Never was I told this. I was told a lady changed her mind on the sale and my mattress was in a box. It was considered unprofessional “dodgy” to carry out this practice of washing a bed cover at home before selling it to a customer!! In a sensitive coronavirus era, I found this irresponsible and as they don’t have another 30 mattress as they haven’t ordered stock then provide me with a 30 mattress that you do have in stock. Hi her value is not my problem. Domayne have sales on tempur yet Sunita had the hide to tell me I’d have to pay more!! NO!! I DONT! I was provided with a dirty product -taken home and washed by the proprietor!!! We honestly find that a first. And so disgusting. I don’t want my money back. I want what I ordered. I do not want a thinner mattress especially after the hard pitch sell about tint 30!!! I’ve called the Department of Fair Trading. Once I rectify this issue I will never shop at Domayne again.

Bad customer service & late deliveries – Don't purchase from the penrith store unless you want to constantly chase your order & be given nothing but attitude when questioning the timeframe remaining on your order.
