Have an Asko D5424 dishwasher, purchased October 2018. Has worked ok up till now when the timer appears to be malfunctioning. I selected Eco, it goes for about half an hour then stops and reverts back to start again. Same thing happens when I select the glasses setting. Any idea what the problem is and, more importantly, if it's economically fixable? About to ditch it as I can't find anyone to have a look at the machine.

my draining hose is leaking. can someone please advise how to remove/detach the hose from the pump. The hose thats connecting to the pump seems to be locked at the connecting point.

My dishwasher use to open once the cycle had finished.. went on holidays and was turned off for 5 weeks now once the cycle finished door doesn't automatically open.
Neither of my Asko dishwashers opened at the end of the cycle. It is some years ago but I think there was a clip or button on the door that opened the dishwasher to unlock it. Have you tried phoning th Asko help line? From memory there was a clip or something in about the middle on the top of the front that opened.
All good. A screw had come out a little to stop it opening after the cycle..
What is the replament for the ASKO D5424
Due to disturbing comments about problems with current Asko model, I had chosen a Bosch series 6 built in dishwasher. However a relative gave us a 2 drawer Fisher and Paykel. This is not as good for me, as an all in one dishwasher, as I cannot load large cooking casseroles etc in the 2 drawer system. I loved my previous Asko dishwashers so it is a shame if their quality has lessened.
Hello there we have this model It’s only a year old and during this year was barely used. Note pretty much brand new The 2 ‘wands’ or spraying arms keep getting clogged and I’m continually rewashing dirty dishes Everything is rinsed BTW Is there an effective way to keep these working as they should, they impossible to clean Many thanks !
I had an ASKO for 12 + years never had this problem. Do you scrape debris off plate with plate scraper before loading.?
To clean remove arms from dishwasher fill with water shake to remove particles causing problem. Repeat if necessary.
It’s because of grains, (rice ) etc. you have to rinse, just have to. My kids did this to me 10 times or so, before my sense of humour failed, now they don’t do it.
Absolutely we rinse but the arms are the issue as it seems almost impossible to get any tiny particles out of them.
How to unblock dishwasher
If you followed the suggestions in the service manual and cleaned the filter, then the next step would be to call a service agent or ASKO Service.
Hi I have a askoD5242 dishwasher but it won’t drain on last cycle I have cleaned filters checked hoses all good.checked the motor on last cycle has power to it but has a whirring sound &can’t turn over to drain, can any body help
I had the same problem. Cleaned filters, multiple times, had electrician twice. Gave it away to young friend to pull apart, in the end and bought a different brand due to bad reports of current model Askos. Mine was 12 1/2 yrs old ...second Asko I have owned. Disappointing but I had excellent use from both ASKOS .

Hi, ask dishwasher D5424 the water doesn’t shut off once the machine is turned on, seems to drain ok but unless I switch the power off or turn the tap off it keeps flowing in even with the door open, I have replaced the inlet valve with no difference, maybe timer or brain box? Thanks

the catch on the detergent compartment is stuck and will not release during cycle though it unclips easily manually
Had a technician visit to assess the problems with our Asko. He told me that it's important nothing obstructs the detergent dispenser's flip-up lid or the path of the detergent block when it's ejected. Be careful about how you position the cutlery basket and how you load the upper tray.

Dishwasher is showing error code F10 and is making a noise all the time if not turned off at power point even though it hasn’t been turned on with switch on dishwasher. If you turn the dishwasher on with this switch it beeps all the time while still making a noise. It is four years old, is it worth getting it repaired.

My ASKO is always showing an F11 fault. I usually give everything a clean and it works again. However now it is showing an F12 fault. Apparently this is a water inlet fault. Yet it stops after draining and then filling. So it is obviously letting water in. I've tried cleaning everything including the water inlet filter and still nothing. I read Alan G. comment about reprogramming the circuit board to run off the timer instead of the computer. Can this be done through the program buttons or does the circuit board need to be modified?
Hi, I have a Asko D5424, apart from a few other issues as described by other people in this forum, after using it for a few months, some wash programs become not available. When i press the PROG button, these items are not selectable(the currently selected indicator does not stop at it): Daily Wash, Eco Wash, Rinse&Hold. Please help me get them back. Thank you.
Hi My asko 5424 runs a cycle but the never empty’s...! Both filters are clean & the pump impeller turn when manually pushed... Can you help me Kind regards Rand
Would like to have a troubleshooting sheet to try to see what is wrong before I call an agent to fix the problem... The problem is that when I turn it on it just makes a loud whirring sound. Have had it switched off until the machine is cool but tried again and still the same problem. Where (if there is a fault and the machine displays a number or letters) it is now just a red square displaying nothing. Thankyou and I hope someone can help. why is the drain pump contently running, to stop it ,it has to be turned off at the switch, you switch it back on on the pump keeps running. is there a quick fix for this problem? i had a Bosch dishwasher that had the same problem and all you had to do was to slide it out a lean it forward and stand it back up and it was fixed. would this work as i cant slide it out as Freedom kitchens in the wisdom has built it in the kitchen.can you please respond to this email, thank you Adrian
