My most desirable travel companion – I use this wonderful Apple product for all my reading, especially when I am on the move. It is irreplaceable as it is light and fits in my handbag. I also find it most useful to keep me emtertained on long journeys or when I am in a place where there is nothing to do other than watch a movie or play a most entertaining game. It is so verstaille, both for what it offers and its transportability.
Great processor does everything you need – I got an iPad mini to use as a note taker but realised quickly it’s capable of ire. covered. Not sure how a button hidden inside a protective cover gets damaged - the staff member said even a pen in a bag could have done it. Is it really so delicate???
Staff member got my hopes up indicating that they may be able to cover the defect, however the manager flatly refused to entertain replacement and offered a paid replacement approx $600 as the item can’t be repaired. After arguing for 15 minutes I left with the iPad feeling pretty frustrated.
After over a decade of buying Apple products - watches phones tablets etc it’s the first time I’ve needed service, and this experience was the pits. Sorry Apple I’m an office worker and that ipad lived on my desk to the day it stopped working. How did it get damaged the way you suggest? I feel like Apple has changed and lost your way. My next purchase will be anything but Apple after this experience. How does it make sense to send me away with a quote for $600 fix a defective sensor on a three month old product when you could have offered to replace it with a refurbished item at practically no cost to Apple and had a happy customer. I’ll make sure I tell everyone about this experience - because you literally gave me no options and blamed me for damaging what is obviously a very delicate part of the iPad that you choose not to cover under warranty.
