the CS-RZ25VKRW with CU-RZ25VKR installed in September 2020 created a lot of troubles and required a lot of warranty servicing by Empire Airconditioning. This was mostly due to a helicopter/motorcycle like strong noise of the external unit appearing often. I had expected this Panasonic to be quiet and create low noise as this aircon was in my bedroom, but sadly this was not the case... With the warranty over I asked another company last month to do full cleaning of the system (before the summer heat) and to do something about the noise. It was explained to me that such a helicopter noise is not uncommon for two blades fans especially at low speed, and that mechanical balancing of two blade fans is more difficult than of three blades fan. And no improvement was achieved as far as noise was concerned.
I am now considering a replacement of my bedroom aircon. But I do not think I will go for another Panasonic, I find it hard sleeping with the motorcycle noise...

The Panasonic has a remote and can be set down to 16 degrees (whether this is a gimmick or not I’m not sure but we like it) . We have 4 Mitsubishi splits to compare with in our house and the Panasonic operates the best. It cools immediately, is not to noisey on high and this 7kw unit does large area very well. The nanio technology I find is a nonsense and makes using the remote confusing the phone app is easier to use. This unit leaked water down the wall quite a bit on humid days and to fix it was a tedious job as problem was only solved by removing cover and running on humid days. The condensation was running and dripping from an earth wire inside the unit then just missing the water tray and running out bottom of unit. Also on the other side of the tray, water was dripping outside of the tray. The fix was quite easy with some bitumen tape simple allowing the drips to drip onto the tape down into the tray . Drips were a bit close to wiring and could have caused an electrical short. It’s a design fault with the unit so doing this review so others know ( might save a house fire) Also about to purchase another 3 units for bedroom s and wondering if the 3.5 kw units have same problem. Would appreciate anyone’s reviews on these.
