Panasonic CS-RZ25VKRW (2.5kW)
VerifiedMPN: CS-RZ25VKRW5 reviews
This aircon was a replacement for a system damaged during the 2019 flood in Townsville, also a Panasonic. While the first one was a very good one, the CS-RZ25VKRW with CU-RZ25VKR installed in September 2020 created a lot of troubles and required a… Read more · 1
lot of warranty servicing by Empire Airconditioning. This was mostly due to a helicopter/motorcycle like strong noise of the external unit appearing often. I had expected this Panasonic to be quiet and create low noise as this aircon was in my bedroom, but sadly this was not the case... With the warranty over I asked another company last month to do full cleaning of the system (before the summer heat) and to do something about the noise. It was explained to me that such a helicopter noise is not uncommon for two blades fans especially at low speed, and that mechanical balancing of two blade fans is more difficult than of three blades fan. And no improvement was achieved as far as noise was concerned.
I am now considering a replacement of my bedroom aircon. But I do not think I will go for another Panasonic, I find it hard sleeping with the motorcycle noise...
Follow-up · UPDATE: About a week after my review I received a surprising call by Panasonic Customer Service. I was offered technical assistance free of charge (!) despite expired warranty, providing I submit purchase documentation and relevant photos of the units. This was very nice of Panasonic in my opinion. I managed to obtain a proof of purchase from the… Read more
Budget friendly but gets the job done! – Installed a few years back, this split system does a fantastic job of heating and cooling as required. We can run it for days on end through summer and it copes well in our extreme heat waves. It is economical to use, we don't notice much difference in a summer power bill. Whilst being a relatively basic air conditioner, it has the features we require, such as a sleep timer. The outdoor unit is installed up on the roof, and is extremely quiet. Show reply
Failed Early – Ran and worked well for approx. 3 years only. Failed on an internal mechanical fault. Was a good unit when working - quiet and energy efficient. But ~3 years life is unacceptable for this type of appliance. As per the other reviews Panasonic Australia refuse to repair these units even within the warranty period. I'm still confused why my warranty… Read more
claim was declined. Can anyone from Panasonic clarify this???
Update: several months later and still no resolution from Panasonic Australia. Utilising deliberate strategies to delay and avoid rectifying the issue. This company is a waste of time and I’ve had to replace at my own cost. Should have done it months ago to avoid the infuriating run-around.
Absolute rubbish, worst air conditioners ever made and no support from Panasonic – I would highly recommend everyone not to buy a Panasonic air conditioner ever as they are absolute rubbish. I have had mine for 7 years and every single year it has run out of gas since day 1. Unit only lasted 2 weeks before I had a service call placed for not blowing cold air. Then again 10 weeks after that and then every single October and… Read more
January for the last 7 years due to no gas in the unit due to a leak no one could find. Multiple attempts to get the unit replaced from Panasonic under there 5 year warranty went of deaf ears. Call centre operators did not care and would just keep logging in calls. After sending multiple emails to Panasonic about the issues there text book response would be we are looking into this and we will get back to you which no one would. Every time I would log a service on the unit they never had a service history of all the service calls. Then the service provider for Panasonic would just come in, see there’s no gas and full it up and walk away. Only 1 tech tried to troubleshoot the issue which in the end topped it up and left as well. Thank god for 3 years extended warranty which was available when I purchased the unit as they have now come to the party to get the unit replaced finally at there expense and not Panasonics. For a large well known company to provide such a poor product and then provide even worse support and not care or even keep a record of all the faults is extremely terrible. I know I will never purchase anything Panasonic again due to the experience I have had with them. I would recommend if anyone is thinking about purchasing a Panasonic split system do not waste your money and look at another manufacturer. I have never been so let down by a manufacturer ever in my life but I now know I will never purchase or recommend anything Panasonic again.

Doesn’t regulate temperature and is noisy – Panasonic is crap. Seriously I ripped my old aircons off the wall and replaced them with crap wasted thousands on Panasonic crap. Newborns can’t regulate their temperature and this aircon was supposed to do that but it’s worse at doing that than the cheapest oldest aircon can and it has no backlight in the remote. And it’s noisy!! What a load of crap I’m furious!!!!!!! Scam artists. Show details
