Espressotoria Capino Questions & Answers
VerifiedI just cleaned my machine but the water is still coming out only in drops, It seems like there's a blockage
Did you run some white vinegar through it? The built in cleaning process isn't much good.
Why does my coffee end up in the used pod container instead of my cup? Obviously no blockage because water goes straight through when cleaning.
I have done the cleaning recommended (hold buttons down for 6 seconds and the cleaning system will happen) however just a minute amount of water trickles through. Tried to make a coffee this morning (yes I have the right pods) and nothing happened, the water wouldn’t filter through so figured it needed cleaning. Tried this but it hasn’t fixed it. No water (or very little going through) and no idea how to fix it! Help!
Obvious question: Have you checked the water reservoir? Turn off power at plug for a while, just in case it might reset it but I doubt it. Otherwise, I guess might be the pump.
The reason it works on cleaning and not when a pod is in place is explained below. The issue here, as a long term user is that the machine does not puncture the pods sufficiently after it gets on a bit in age. You can hear a louder clunk after the initial quiet piercing of the pods. This is the mechanism moving back after not piercing the pod properly and thinking that there is no pod there, so it moves back and dumps into the catcher. It detects this via pressure, as the water "pushes back" as the holes are not large enough to tell the machine that the holes have been made sufficiently. Simply poke about 3 or 4 holes in the pod with a steak knife prior to using. Three problems solved. Firstly, the coffee goes into the cup, secondly the coffee is stronger and thirdly, you do not need to hold the lever down. Espressatoria wont tell you this, as they want you to buy a new machine. Happy drinking.
After inserting the pod which is compatible with the Capino machine I have to hold the lever down for it to operate … why would this be ?
I'm on machine number 6 and that will be my last STUPID machine I will ever buy. The machine just got thrown out the back door and I am now going to take a sledge hammer to it like I did with the other 5 machines. When I add 6 machines @ $79 per machine, that adds up to a staggering $474 I've waisted on an inferior product (not to mention the money for the pods that do not work) I could have brought a proper machine for that price and have a lot of hair left on my head and money in my pocket. I know I'll never get my money back as I've been told in past correspondence that I need a receipt. I don't keep receipts so there's no refunding me, so the only thing I can do is to leave extremely bad reviews which is nothing but the truth, and I will leave bad reviews on every page I can find. Whoever imports this product should be ashamed of themselves for selling a product to Australians that DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY - AT ALL - EVER. From day 1, 3/4 of the coffee from the pods ends up in the pod holder. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to know that these machines were not made for these pods. I am also going to phone consumer affairs and report to them what I have gone through with espressotoria's inferior 6 coffee machines and hopefully they will listen and totally remove the machine and all of it's pods from ever being on a shelf again. From a very very annoyed and (ripped of hundreds of dollars) ex-customer.
Go Lisa. Couldn't agree more. It's a terrible machine. Woolworths sell this...still??!!! We have bought our 3rd and last one. Doing the same thing as the first...no matter how much we do what the trouble shooting says to do. What a waste of money - thanks Vittoria and Woolworths for selling a faulty product to Australian consumers.
I have a new Capino machine. The water and coffee from capsule seems to leak into the capsule chamber while filling the cup, thus giving less water in cup and a weaker coffee. Any clues?
I have a Piccolo machine and it's started doing the same thing. I'm going to get a Aldi machine next time they have them
not dispensing water
Which capsule I need for this coffee machine?
where can I buy pods to fit this machine - what is the pod lid and height diameter please
These are the pods that fit that machine... can be Woolies or Coles external link
Capsule drops straight through machine. How can this be stopped so that it lines up where it should
You have to have the right capsules. If they are a brand that doesn't fit the machine Espressotoria machine it will just drop straight through.
Our Capino has a problem with losing half of the coffee due to leaking on the pod. I think I could rescue the machine by replacing the seal rings. Does anyone know where I can buy replacement seals for the Capino?
I have had this problem and pretty sure the answer lies in the thickness of the plastic used to seal the pod. The one i have the biggest problem with is the Maragogype pod. Beautiful coffee but pod it the problem. Hope Vittoria can answer this.
I’m having the same issue with the same pods. Any luck on an answer please?
Hi guys
Purchased one and it isn't dispensing water. Tried to clean and descale and still the same issue. Can I replace the pump myself?
If it’s still under warranty contact espressotoria tell them what is happening with a video and they will email you you with instructions to send it back to them and they will fix it or replace it with no expense to you. They have been good with me and this is what I’m doing now. I’m very happy with correspondence and response from them so far.
Why is this machine wasting pods? Coffee runes straight into pod catcher.
Water continuously comes out without stopping unless we switch off from power point, seems like it is descaling without stopping.
How much are the capsules for this machine
check coles or woolworths
what pods are compatible with this machine
nespresso original line
where can i buy pods for this machine
Capsules can be purchased from external link
coles use to sell them and the machine
There is no water pumping throu, how can I unclog
I have an Espressatoria Capino machine and the water flushes through the system during cleaning very well, but the coffee no longer flows out of the machine when a coffee pod is inserted. The coffee ends up in the used pod container. Also my Milk frother has stopped working. How are these problems rectified.
Same here
Has anyone had an answer back on this problem as our machine is now doing the same.
Water not going into machineto make coffee. Water full makes noise as if working but no water going through machine
I had same problem and fixed it you can just lift the water tank up and down quickly a couple of times while machine is working and should unblock it. If it doesn't work you can also YouTube the problem plenty of hints..
Yep, YouTube is great
Thank you! I had the same issue, tried this and it fixed it.
Please advice me which coffee pods for this machine? thanks
