Just wanted to write a review to counter Tania's review.. I bought an 8x5 galv painted single axle box trailer directly through trailers2000, the build quality is great, they gave me a quick tour of the facility and I can assure anyone questioning if these trailers were built in Australia, that yes, they 100% are manufactured here (in Beerwah,… Read more
qld). I purchased my trailer just under a month ago and I am extremely satisfied with what I got, I opted into spare wheel, upgraded jockey wheel and a 600mm high cage, everything is well made. All accessories are quality brands and well put together. In short, these trailers are absolutely bangers, can't complain about one thing (except maybe the price in comparison to other locally produced trailers). Ultimately you get what you pay for, and these are worth every cent. Very satisfied customer.

Can't fault it – The Trailers 2000 8x5 galvanised trailer, available via Bunnings special order, is a decent quality "light duty" trailer. It's certainly not something you'd want to head off-roading with but just right for carting rubbish to the tip, sheets home from the hardware store or mulch and gravel for the garden. The floor is checker plate and seems fairly… Read more
sturdy – no idea what gauge steel it is but it doesn't noticeably deflect when I jump up and down on it. 50mm square cross members are spaced every 300mm. The suspension's a 5 leaf spring, I've had it loaded to capacity with 750kg of gravel and it carried it fine without bottoming out. The jockey wheel's a good quality one.
Build quality seems good. The long drawbar and the fold-down front gate is quite handy.
It comes in at a tare weight of 250kg, which means in NSW it's cheaper to register and doesn't require annual inspection. (Let's not get started on the stupidity of NSW's law based on tare rt. gross mass: the NSW law simply discourages buying a heavy duty trailer for no particular reason.)
The only thing I'd wish were different are the square tube side rails - these should be round to make attaching a tarp load cover easier. Also, the rivets holding the floor to the frame are slightly proud which of course catches the shovel.
