Early days but I am not impressed that the instructions on NOT to put the chopper lid in the dishwasher were not clear on the product - most products these days can go in a dishwasher. Now my brand new top has water inside that cannot escape. Nearly $100 to replace is outrageous given the total unit and accessories price point. Show details

Follow-up  · After shaking the lid vigorously for a couple of weeks to get out tiny bits of water, it eventually came out - it seems. I enjoy the blender for the most part. I don't understand the whisk attachment or how to use it - when I use it in the tall clear jug provided - liquid flies out everywhere and makes a mess. The lid is a bit tricky to clean… Read more

I love all of our SMEG appliances but the point at which the chopper lid joins the chopper container has broken inexplicably. Can I buy the lid by itself? Show details ·  1

Disappointing quality – Spent a reasonable amount of money and it lasted just past the warranty date. Smeg was good enough to send a replacement piece even though it was just out of warranty. Unfortunately it only lasted a couple of months. Its a little plastic connection that keeps crapping out a bit disappointing to spend good money and then have it not last. I guess you're better of buying disposable items from Kmart. Show details

I paid for a quality product & it was for a while – The problem with the Smeg stick blender is that 1 small part wears over time - a part that’s probably worth a couple of dollars. Sure it worked for several years - but I don’t think it’s asking too much for greater longevity. They don’t sell that part but expect you to buy a whole new unit. Not great service, terrible for the environment & not… Read more

what I’d expect from a “high end product” on the higher end of the price range. The response from Smeg “Well unfortunately we don’t sell that part separately. You have to purchase the whole blender stick” I’ll be changing brands. So disappointed.

Paying premium with premium customer service – Firstly, thank you Smeg! An excellent product that functions exactly like you want it to. Great build and the look... well is a bit divisive. However, I accidentally put the chopper lid into the dishwasher and after getting in touch. They promptly sent me a new one out of good will. They are valued at 180 bucks if I was to order it online. I can't… Read more

recommend these guys more! Yes, you're paying more than a Sunbeam, but you get a company that care about you individually. Thank you Smeg!

Such great service – We got the retro stick blender package through our credit card reward points. The connection between the chopper lid and bowl stripped with 3 days so has become unusable. The rest of the tools are ok but I feel when you connect each tool to the main piece it could be a tighter fit. I must edit this review, with minutes of writing this, SMEG had… Read more ·  2

Best blender we've owned. Was skeptical at first but well worth the price – I've previously only bought cheap $50 blenders but my mum had one of these and they looked so easy to clean compared to the big blenders I'm used to. It was. Customer service also amazing. Show details

Great design and efficiency – Love this appliance. Blender itself is great and enhanced by the extras that go with it. The processor works better than my large processor! Attachments easy to attach. Cleaning is simple also. Nice to be able to choose a colour also. Had a small issue with one attachment and was quickly replaced by SMEG Australia. Highly recommend this appliance and the follow up service.  Show details

Very happy except whisk vibrates aggressively – I I got this stick blender about six weeks ago and am very happy with it. It also includes some very handy attachments. My only concern is that the whisk seems to vibrate quite aggressively so I need to make sure I use a deep bowl so I don’t end up with the ingredients all over the kitchen. Not sure if the whisk attachment is faulty or if this… Read more

is normal. Update; Smeg customer service have been in touch and they were fantastic. The lady that called me (Katherine?) advised that they would be more than happy to replace the unit but also advised there is some vibration when using the whisk attachment. I will see how I go and possibly look at the replacement offer.

Powerhouse – This sticker blender is extremely powerful compared to most. Super versatile and efficient. I can also attest to Smegs first class customer service. I had an unfortunate warranty claim which was expeditiously resolved. Certainly top marks to Smeg for product and service. Show details

Where has this stick blender package been all my life! – Wonderful design by the clever SMEG family - easy to clip on/off stick blender (soups, dips, sauces) whisk (eggs/cream), potato masher, food processor (chops + blitzes). Have used it every day and love it!

Beautiful 50s style retro blender – We bought this stock blender purely based on aesthetics. The duck egg blue color goes well with our hamptons theme. We have been using this blender for a while now and it extremely precise and sharp. Show details ·  1

Perfect Stick Blender - Easy to Use! – I bought the Smeg Stick Blender about 6 weeks ago from Appliances Online. I have to say "WOW". I love how easy it is to use, you can adjust the speed of the device and it blitzes, blends and mashes as well as whisking. You can make anything from smoothies, pancakes, soups, guacamole (who doesn't love guac!) to mashed potato, cakes, brownies as… Read more

well as chopping vegetables. The slim, ergonomic design means it's comfortable to handle and lightweight too. Clean up is a breeze. All in all, a great product from Smeg.

We have had it about a year and there is a serious problem – The problem with this smeg hand blender is that no matter how careful you are washing it the top of the processing bowl fills with water and there is no way to get it out. Its a kitchen appliance - you should be able to wipe it down (and that's all we've done - wiped it down) without it filling with water. The water gets in there - but it doesn't… Read more

get out. We have left it out to dry out for weeks, we've tried shaking it out and still there is water sloshing around inside. This is the sole reason we would never buy another smeg hand blender. Another problem with the processing bowl is that the cutting blades are too close to the bottom of the bowl so you have to put hardly anything in the bowl or it turns to slush at the bottom. They need to make one blade considerably higher. Apart from that the blender works well, its strong and doesn't die.
