Wonderful attention from Oricom Support – Our son bought us this phone in late 2022,to make it possible for his father to keep in touch with the family. We have have had a bad run of luck, with three phones malfunctioing. Each time Oricom Support has promptly supplied us with another phone at no extra cost to us, even though we have now passed the time of coverage by the guarantee. This is exceptional support. Thank you for it. Catherine. Show reply

Perfect for my 3 year old – This is exactly what i needed for my 3 year old daughter to use incase she has an emergency at home. Technical support – There was an issue with this phone but Oricom are sending me a replacement and postage for the returned item will be prepaid. All in all, I am very pleased with how quickly and efficiently the issue was resolved. As for the phone itself, it works as advertised. Both my parents are in their eighties and have a hard time using smartphones, so this phone is a godsend. Show details ·  1

Okay phone – Phone is as described. Big buttons. Memory buttons. Adjustable volume levels. It works fine. There is an unacceptable amount of interference noise when using the phone though. Seems to crackle, hiss and have white noise whenever the handset cord moves. Show details

No speaker button which is a key feature that you would expect every phone to have – Bought this phone for my mother who has Parkinson's and can't hold a receiver and needs to use a speaker button. Was shocked when it arrived with no speaker button, the maintenance man who was there to install it was also shocked, as we have both never seen a phone without a speaker button. Called the Oricom customer support team who said there… Read more

was another option with a speaker button, so I guess I'm meant to zoom in and check all the buttons on the phone to ensure a key feature that you would expect to be there is. My feedback was that it should be made clear on the website, which was brushed off with 'we'll pass that onto the marketing team'. Now they want me to pay to return the phone even though it was not clearly stated on their website that the phone does not have the speaker function that every phone has & you would expect it to have. Considering this is a product for the elderly & people with a disability, zero empathy or care was shown.

CARE80 ringer stopped working after 3.5 years – My 91 year old mum has Alzheimer's, so I bought her a CARE80 phone back in 2018. It's been really easy for her to use, but a few weeks ago the ringer stopped working. Seeing it was out of warranty, I had to buy a new one :( Show details

Fair, but not as loud as I would like – Modern appearance, and ring tone is loud. But I bought it principally for the amplification of voices. It's louder than a normal phone, but turned up to 9 on the amplification dial (the maximum) I find it only just loud enough. Could do with being louder Show details

Am very impressed with phone and service – Was looking for a phone that my partner could use with his ulcerated hands and tendency to accidently disconnect phone. With its large keypad and easy to understand volume buttons and redial, it has been a very welcome piece of technology. Also important to note, the first one they sent me was faulty. When i rang up to check if it was me or the… Read more ·  1

The Oricom CARE80 is excellent – This phone has been a lifesaver for my elderly dad who has vision problems. He can call his friends with one click of the button. I've had to replace it once because it was knocked around in the nursing home and something in the ear piece was knocked loose. I ordered another one on line and it was delivered within a week. Show details ·  1

ORICOM CARE80 HAS CHANGED MY 91 YEAR OLD MUM'S LIFE – My hearing impaired Mum who still lives alone in her own home is now able to hear her family when they ring her just by pressing the 'Boost Button'. She is happier and more confident now that she can have a conversation with us. Oricom have been excellent to deal with and delivery was very prompt. It was also very well priced. So, so happy with this phone. I only wish I would have discovered it sooner. Thank you Oricom. Show details ·  1

Perfect for the elderly – I bought this phone for my elderly Mum. We both love it especially the memory buttons. It was very easy to program and is very easy for Mum to use. She is nearly 97 and has poor eyesight so the large numbers are great. The loud ringer is also good as she has limited hearing in one ear. This is a quality phone at a good price. Show details ·  1

Perfect for our needs – My father has hearing aids in both ears, so we find the volume boost feature excellent for him. I was able to programme all family member numbers into the speed dial buttons, he finds it very helpful and a breeze to use. Excellent product, and the large buttons are an added advantage for him when using the phone. Very happy. Show details ·  1

BRILLIANT TELEPHONE – To say this has been a life changer is an understatement. My Mother at 88 couldn't use a 'normal' portable phone so this Oricom CARE80 being static (not movable) is ideal. I only wish there were more positions than 6 available for other faces to be put in. Thankyou so much for this marvellous phone. Show reply

Looks good, but some uncertainty! – These days the "Landline Phone (Home phone)" is connected to the Internet via your local router. Often-times the router has to be switched off and then on again to connect with a reliable server. The same conditions may arise for a number of reasons, changing power sources, mains failure etc. One would expect that a modern phone like this would be… Read more ·  1

designed with a non-volatile memory, and that is what I assumed when I read the advertisement. In the User Guide, on Page 12 there is a Note: "If the telephone is diconnected or loses power, any stored memory information may be lost." One can only fearfully imagine the consequences of some unsuspecting, vulnerable person requiring to dial a number in an emergency only to find that the phone does not work. I am not sure how to read this but will have to do some trial tests to find out. If the memory is lost I shal have to dispose of the phone because it would be too dangerous. William. MSIEE (Retired)

Oricom are a people based service – We purchased the Oricom 80S for my vision impaired month. A month in there was a problem with the phone. Not only did real people answer the phone when I rang for assistance they immediately issued a replacement. While the phone was working my mother was very happy with it and I was ecstatic witht he service I received. Show details ·  1
