Absolute dream phone – Absolutely loved this phone had it since it came out 2019, and ran my whole life off it. I'd dropped it a gazillion times before the last fatal fall finally broke it but honestly it was thrown across the house with the cover and screen protector on but still it didn't break. Was always super fast responsive and such and easy navigational phone. I dunno how im guna live without it actual cried when it died. Show details
Excellent all rounder – Purchased in 2019, my oppo has been an extremely reliable and durable phone. Still in excellent overall condition. Camera is great, performance is great, still running fast and smooth. For a budget friendly phone you get heaps of flagship level features! Note: After 3 and a half years of ownership, the phone has finally showed a flaw.… Read more
Occasionally, the screen freezes while in use. I switch the phone off and on again quickly and then works fine again for a while. Been like this for a few months now.
Inexpensive. Has all the features of most current phones – I've had mine for 3 years. It has all the features needed or you can download. It's never let me down. Very reasonably priced. Takes a great photo/video. I'm very happy with mine. Show details

Good for the Price – I’ve had mine for a bit over a year and bought it primarily because of the dual sim, as I was heading to Europe and wanted to use a local sim but still be able to receive calls from home. It did the things I wanted it to do and was reliable. The camera is ok outside, but seems to be less effective now. More recently there have been connectivity… Read more
problems with my car, both with Bluetooth and Android Play. Neither work now after being unreliable for months. There are also cracks on the screen. I also found that it is easy inadvertently switch off the ringer. Despite this, for its main uses it’s good value.
Excellent value for a mid-range smart phone – For a mid-range smart phone the Oppo Reno Z packs a whole lot of punch. I was really surprised at how well it functions. After 6 months or so I don't have any complaints at all. The phone has a Snapdragon 710 processor and a whopping 8GB of RAM, which is twice as much as my laptop so everything except the very heaviest of apps (which I have yet… Read more
to find) runs smoothly on your phone. There's no lag or latency to speak of. There's 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded with an SD card but it's way more than I actually use. I've only used about a quarter of the storage after 6 months.
The camera is great. A 48MP rear and 32MP selfie camera for detailed, natural-looking high resolution shots and great contrast. Although night shots are not top of the range, they are still very impressive notwithstanding. The camera has a very basic, simple interface, it's not loaded with endless gimmicky features which at first I was a little dubious about, but after a while it's worked out really well. You don't really have to bother with anything to get great shots. Just point and click and the phone does the rest of the work. The only gripe I have, very minor though, is that the AI the camera uses to "beautify" your selfie pics is way over the top. When turned on by default, the result is just much too unnatural for my taste. As a middle-aged male I'm really not after selfies that try and make my face look like that of a 20 year old supermodel. The result is just ridiculous. But you can turn that feature off.
Two wonderful inclusions are the Oppo VOOC 3.0 Flash charging which lets you charge your phone from 0-100% in about an hour and much less than that if you need a top-up. The battery is 4035 milliamp hours which packs a solid punch. It easily lasts a day or more between charges. There's also a fingerprint scanner built into the screen, which is just so much more convenient than having to punch in a PIN number. The face scanner is also really good. If the light is dim, the front screen will light up so the scanner can still recognize your face,
I mainly use the phone for browsing the internet, listening to music and watching videos. Music sounds good. If you use wired headphones you have access to Dolby Atmos processing which sounds fantastic. Sadly Dolby Atmos doesn't yet work with Bluetooth headphones so you're limited to your apps inbuilt EQ if it has one. Watching videos is also a pleasure. It's not a drain on the battery, after a two hour movie even with sound over the phone's speakers the battery is only down by 10-15%. The AMOLED display is also really bright and colourful, the brightness only needs to be set to 50% most of the time. However, outdoors the display is always easily visible even in very bright sunlight.
This is my fifth smart phone and this is easily the one I'm happiest with so far. The lack of any lag, the fast battery charging and the camera's ease of use all make this a really good pick.

I love my Oppo Reno Z – I've had my phone since 2019 and I absolutely love it. The aurora purple is gorgeous. The screen is strong. I've dropped it so many times and never needed to repair. Photos are great. Video and sound quality is excellent. I use my phone for calls, messaging and internet. I don't game but my kids have and it's fine. 3 years later the battery still… Read more
lasts for 2 days and nothing has slowed down. I'll be buying another one and giving mine to my daughter. Highly recommend.
Excellent – My wife and I both bought these new in January 2020 and they have been excellent phone. Seem to work flawlessly. We get regular updates. And the battery life is still excellent. Show details
Brilliant phone for the price – This phone is a beast. The durability is incredible - I have dropped it from 7ft multiple times in the original case that came with it and have had no screen cracks. Battery life is superb - I've used the phone pretty heavily for almost 3 years and still have 30% battery life at the end of the day. When needed, I have made the battery last up to 3… Read more
days. Applications run smoothly. It's just a great functional and reliable phone.
The only downside of the phone is its camera, which honestly isn't too bad.
I recently got a used galaxy note 9 but I'm going to be switching back to the Oppo for its superior durability and battery life. 10/10
Negative reviews
The first ever phone that was worst than the previous one! – Firstly, it really wants to be an iPhone, with it's ColorOS system, which I found to be extremely annoying. Then there's the ringer which keeps going to silent because you pick the phone and gently press the volume up and camera buttons simultaneously. The accessibility settings which keep changing for no reason? I would not accept a gift of an oppo phone! Show details
I had to replace the phone twice as the wifi kept on dropping off. Oppo refused to take ownership – Wifi was intermittent so replaced phone twice at Campbelltown store Oppo advised to send phone in for repair which is not practical as I would be without a phone for applied 2 week's. The purchase was no more than a month old. Show details
I have been loyal to Oppo for years now, but this phone will be what sends me back to Samsung! – While the phone is great for the price, there's a few issues I have had over the last year of owning it. Such as: the auto dimmer on the screen is absolutely ridiculous! It literally flicks between light and dark fifteen to twenty times in a matter of sixty seconds! It is by far the WORST and dumbest setting I've ever come across. Also, the… Read more
camera quality is great outside but shocking indoors. No matter the setting, no matter if flash is on, the photos are pathetic.
If you're not after a quality phone, just something to get the job done, then this phone is for you. If you want quality pictures inside and also don't want the frustration of having to manually adjust your screen brightness, then go back to samsung or iphone.

Great Phone for its price! – This phones a great value for money. Given its specs 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage with dual LTE Sim and great front & back cameras, awesome screen quality, dual speakers, battery lasts easily more than a day, endless list, nothing ever went wrong, and it's a very reliable model. Also the ColorOS 11 with Android 11 update makes it feel like any other latest phone in the market. Worth the buy! Show details
In love – Wow just wow I can't believe just how amazing this phone is compared to the big brand phones I have had in the past. Not only is the screen quality amazing it is super fast with my numerous apps that I have. And the quality of photos is just as amazing. Show details

Bang For Your Buck! – Had this phone for 19 months now and it's still just as snappy as when I first purchased it. Never heard of the brand before coming from previous iPhone and Samsung Galaxy generations. The camera takes very nice photos and the colors are better than my previous phones. I'm also able to do some occasional reading on the phone due to the large… Read more
screen. The battery life is great as I'm able to stream videos from it for prolonged periods of time.
This is the best value phone I've bought and will definitely be looking at Oppo for my next phone purchase.
Incredible Value – I have had this phone for nearly a year now and I have to say that there is nothing possible to complain about! The camera takes amazing day and night photos, supports 4k HDR photos and great zoom. The AI beautifier is ok I guess. The microphone is also amazing and very clear when calling. The speakers are also beyond amazing for a phone and… Read more
the audio sounds very realistic with good bass.
The batter life will easily last me a whole day browsing reddit but it runs out within 5 hours of YouTube at medium volume. The inclusion of a smart charger makes the lack luster battery life completely irrelevant as it will be fully charged in thirty minutes.
The quality of the phone is far beyond what would be expected from a phone of this price. the glass back looks amazing and the attention to detail is great. The phone itself is also very durable with a good screen protector. I have dropped it more times than I have blinked and yet it still looks great and works like new. There is an included case that looks like it wouldn't do much but in reality it works great.
The charger is also amazing quality and fully charges the phone very quickly.
Included in the box is a set of ok wired earbuds, an info and warranty sheet, the case and the fast charger.
It does it’s job – I get phones for emergencies mostly, but I also use them nowadays for photos, this one unfortunately isn’t very good in the camera department, my bad I didn’t check the reviews properly. Night photos are a mixed bag, tried to take photos of Christmas houses, the photos look like crap. Day photos are good, selfie camera makes my skin flawless… Read more
which is cool and it’s also a very good camera. I can’t say the main camera is necessarily better than my IPad camera and I kind of regret buying it for $500.
However I love the back colouring and I love how slippery and durable it is. It’s built to last that’s for sure, the screen is very strong and still after all this time doesn’t have a single crack or deep scratch on it, unlike my IPad.
Will definitely research better in the future though, but for now I expect it to last me at least another 6 years honestly.
Great Phone at a Great Price – I have had this phone for 6 months. Firstly it's fantastic value, yet doesn't skimp on quality. The layout , look and feel of the phone is quite similar to an iPhone, so easy to switch over if you are new to android. The quality is great, I have unfortunately dropped it many times and there is no cracks or visible damage. The screen is nice… Read more
and bright. Camera is good, no issue however I am usually just taking ordinary everyday like photos of my cats so can't give a full review on it.
Battery last most of the day and quick charging is useful.
I have had no issues with the phone. Runs smoothly when I multitask such as browsing social media while listening to an audio book.
Would happily buy another oppo phone in the future.
7\10 being nice!! – beautiful vibrant shell that is instantly hidden by the dark coloured rubber protective cover provided with your phone. Hiding a big part of why I purchased the phone to begin with. It has a Few screen glitch's that often occur randomly, in the notification bar, e.G: over lapping of notifications making it impossible to read time at top or it… Read more
shows icons as open when really shut, things like nfc, and headphones, ect...Great storage, easy to use generally speaking! Had a fantastic camera, for a short while, now takes a miserable one. My phone is about 4 months old never dropped or damaged but has more then it's share of faults.
Great value for money – Great camera for the price The little tear drop where the selfie camera is over the screen can sometimes be annoying Have had the phone for 6 months now and no problems so far Could do with an ability to organise your apps better into folders Show details
Love everything about it except a few minor issues – I prefer rear finger print scanner since it's more responsive like my Oppo R11S plus. Notch can seem odd at times but no big deal... Camera is very good, battery life is excellent and it charges pretty fast too! Have dropped it a number of times on hard and soft floors and not a scratch thanks to the tough gorilla Glass. paying contactless thanks to NFC so I never have to pull out any cards.
The phone lacks wireless charging and waterproof capabilities that's seen in more expensive phones. Wireless charging isn't needed because it's slower... Waterproofing would be better although the chances of the phone going under water is very low so can live without it. For this price range it's absolute bang for your buck and can't really complain.
Love it and will be keeping this for at least 2-3 years.
Excellent value for money ! – Fantastic phone with all the new high-end features, this is my 2nd OPPO branded phone. Very reliable product that you can always depend on. Long battery life with great quality camera.
Disappointed – Only had phone for a few months and keeps freezing up on home screen..like 3 x before an app will open. Tried reboot but does not fix it. Very annoying. Show details

Great value for money – Needed a new phone and didn't want to pay $1000+. Features are as expected. Nothing startling it just works really well. Two things that I miss though. 1. Widgets. This may be my ignorance (not being into mobile phones) but on my previous, even cheaper phone I really liked using widgets (carry over from the old windows phone active tiles days)… Read more · 1
for things like online trading, email, world time, weather, etc. With this phone I don't seem to be able to see widgets. Not sure if its a new android thing with v10, an Oppo thing or something I need to enable.
2. Qi charging.
Neither are deal breakers for me. I like the build, speed, feel and the other specs.
I would recommend this product.
Great value phone – I bought this phone on an Optus plan to replace my aging Samsung. I was supprised how good the specs were for the price. I'd say better than an iPhone 10 but just under iPhone 11. Plays games with high graphics and battery lasts for ages. The camera is great even in low light Show details
Good for price – 8GB RAM phone appears to be a good deal under $400. No problems so far. No hanging. Handles multi windows very well. Happy with my decision for not to spend over a grand for same technology. My wife has galaxy s10 but she loves my phone camera. Show details
Easy to use Oppo phone – I like my Oppo phone. It does what I require and is easy to navigate. I love the large screen, amazing photos and bright flashlight. This is a great choice compared to expensive alternatives. Show details

What's not to like – Just love the facial recognition - means you have that layer of protection but can immediately start using the phone when it sees your face. Sync setup gets better over time. Lots of features for the geeks, or simple operation if preferred. Great cameras. Great battery. Fast (8GB RAM!!). Comes with fitted screen protector and cover..can't argue… Read more
with that. 128GB memory, Dual SIM, but no SD card slot. Not good that the cover obscures the beautiful purple case colour! But love it.
Great Phone, Great Price - Ripper Samsung Alternative – Easy to order from eBay, Arrived in 2 Business Days. New, Never opened. Great phone is a real Samsung Killer.. manufacturers add and edit. The OS Color 6 Is a seamless Operating System and no features are disabled and especially there is no Bixby to annoy you.
128 GB of Storage and a 4G and 3G reception that is much better than any Samsung Galaxy in rural areas.
It's a relief to use a Smart Phone that has no "Propitiatory Roadblocks" that manufacturers put in place.
It is truly an accommodating and reliable phone that will get you through the day without problems. I use this for business and it has everything needed to succeed without the Top Dollar Price Tag.
Well Done Oppo.
Loved it – Been few months using this phone. couldn't be more happier. I was always a Samsung user so transition to another Android was smooth. The two big thing for me is the price of the phone and the on screen fingerprints. The only problem is this phone is slightly bulkier than the phone I have used in past. Show details
