VoLTE drops out – I'm with Vodafone and I have experienced 3 instances where my VoLTE service has dropped out. The only indication that this has happened is the disappearance of the tiny VoLTE icon from the top left corner of the screen. Rebooting the phone re-establishes the service. Olitech wants to blame Vodafone, or the fact that it's not a smartphone. Clearly this is a network problem which affects the phone part of the phone, not the computer part. Moreover, since the phone's firmware controls the VoLTE icon, not the telco, clearly it is a firmware issue. That is, the firmware knows that VoLTE has dropped out, so it should be transparently trying to renegotiate a V0LTE service at regular intervals, without waiting for a reboot.

In short, I would not recommend this phone, especially if you depend on it for critical situations.

compatible hearing aids and after walking out of range will reconnect automatically again. Can also easily return to Home Screen after using phone book, messages, etc by pressing home button or just closing the phone. (You can probably tell some of the problems we had with previous phone). Also love the speaker amplification option. Phone has a nice feel to it in your hand. Can’t comment yet on battery life because it gets put on the very convenient cradle charger quite frequently. Very happy with this phone for my Mum and Mother-in-law. Also, excellent written material included for quick set-up and a more comprehensive booklet.

has used it a number of times by depressing the Emergency button sending upto 8 people and SMS and GPS coordinates. She wears it around her neck on the lanyard supplied. Mum can answer the phone by just flipping it open. The speaker is clear for her to have a conversation. I can't comment on the other functions as we don't use them. In our experience the Olitech phone has been a life saving device in at least 4 occasions.

Great phone for the elderly – This is an incredibly easy phone to use even for my 93 year old mother who is otherwise totally useless when it comes to technology. I had to replace the battery after almost two years, but I suspect it’s because my mother was charging it when it still had more than 60% charge. Best of the Dumb Phones – Having tried other brands, Olitech if by far the best and most reliable of them all. Us oldies simply want a phone with SMS capabilities. We rarely, if ever, use the camera so can't comment on that aspect of the phone. Show details

Olitech Easy flip 2 – We have the Easy Flip 2, and we are very happy with it. Great message alert, call alert, at least now I know when I have a call or message. It has a good ring, just turn the speaker up. I haven't used photos yet, so still to see. We are in our 60's and we just want a simple phone without social media stuff. Comfy in my bag, and not too heavy.

A very good easy to use phone – I found the phone to be very easy to set up and use, the support provided by Olitech was really good. The phone is a gift for my father in law. The phone has met his needs of a simple basic phone which is easy to operate.

EasyFlip 2 – Purchased as an upgrade from the EasyMate for my mother to get 4G ready and we're pleased with the phone. Has everything she needs to make it easy to use and what we need to keep us in touch with peace of mind. The phone is easy to use and a great deal including the plan.
