BE AWARE OF NORTHSIDE RENTALS SCAM. BEFORE RENTING, TRY TO CALL AND SPEAK WITH SOMEONE. NO BODY TAKES THE CALLS. I rented a Toyota Corolla hybrid with this company. photographed, so no problems with going head and renting the car.

One week later returned the car in the exact same condition and was charged $1937 for a windscreen repair.

You will see on the attached pictures both the pickup picture with the damage already present and the return picture with the same damage.

I'm now trying to receive a reimbursement but no one answer the phone and the communication is all on very blunt e-mails.

The truck wasn't new, but it was great for all we needed and the tail lift was essential, the price was exceptionally good, and it drove like a dream. Overall an excellent experience. The only mild criticism was that they were often hard to get hold of on the phone. Edit - just a follow up on this review after some late problems were experienced. Our $1500 security bond took 4 weeks to be returned which caused some anxiety and I was paying interest on this credit card payment. Then, more worryingly, I noticed a random $112 was taken out of my account after I returned the car. It took me a week to notice this and when I inquired was told it was an error and would be immediately returned. It took 7 weeks to be returned. This all had to be done via email as I couldn't get anyone on the phone despite repeated attempts and messages. All good now but stained an otherwise good rental.

Best Car Rental – Excellent service staff. We were very promptly attended to and got our car very quickly and also returned our car very quickly. They were very competent and prompt to attend to queries/problems. Security bond was returned after 3 days, even though they said 7 days. Shuttle bus driver was very friendly and we departed on time and reached airport early. Office location was very easy to find and easy to access from Perth suburbs and Airport.

delayed the start of our trip. 2. Not told of $1000 bond. 3. Signed Contract not emailed through as promised. 4. Child anchor points not found. Couldn’t get through to office to find them. Hence, we then had to take separate vehicles after journey commenced to pick family up who were to travel in the bus. 4. No manual in hired vehicle to find them. 5. No manual meant we couldn’t find release latch to fuel tank to refuel. Luckily we found someone who did. 6. Over charged on kilometres that weren’t used on the trip by mistake and funds taken out the account without email or notice. Overall, very disappointed.

 Follow-up  · I tried contacting the managers about my experience, mainly so it wouldn’t happen to anyone else, but heard nothing back. Very disappointing.

First class efficient service for our 11 day car rental. Car was almost new….only 13k on the clock. I would recommend this company to everyone. Receipt and return with a smile. Bond return in 2 business days

Recently hired a 3.5 ton truck from the Greenford branch , fleet is well presented and prices are good however on collecting the vehicle waited nearly 40 minutes due to the young girl working on her own and dealing with other customers the same when I returned the vehicle just to hand the keys in another staff member on the front desk would alleviate this problem Show details

Nortside rentals Bussleton don't want to be and shouldnt be in bussiness. After a family member had booked a car, they were never told that a digital car license and digital credit card werent accepted. previously for a price for another vehicle with multiple seats and was told we will have to call the boss and we will get back to you. At least 5 calls to them later, we were given the same excuse, but eventually we were informed we dont have any left, when they did when we picked up the first car. So we were without a car for 24 hrs for the rest of us. A baby seat was asked for when the origanal booking was made, but we had to ask again when picking up the car. There was no going over the car to look at defects and glad we werent blamed for the cigerette burn on the drivers seat, as none of us smoke. I paid the deposit from my business account, which is linked to my mastacard and after not receiving the refund for nearly a week, went to my bank, 40 klm away from home to find they had put the money onto my mastacard, which is for emergency use ONLY, so now I have to pay fees to remove it from my credit card and put it back into the appropriate account. So After I had to pay $30 to get a taxi there I now have more charges from my bank because of multiple incompetencies of this company. When I rang and complained, I was told that it was in the contract that I signed. My reply was, if I read the contract from A-Z, I would still be there for opening the next morning. Basic things like mentioned, should have been verbally told to the client. All I got was sorry, no mention of the huge inconvenience that was caused or compensation. Unfortunate thing is you cant give a star rating of less than 1. Should have been in the minuses. Anyone thinking of hiring a car in Busselton, do yourself a favour and go to a reputable company and save the hassle. 31/10/2025

Truck was in excellent condition. Customer service is lacking. No smiles, unfriendly. No one answers the phone. No instruction given on tail lift operation, and switching between tiptronic and auto gear shifts. Worked it out myself. Bonus was I wasn’t charged extra for a late return. All in all, not a bad experience, but not pleasant and could certainly do with a good polish. Show details

Would not recommend. Hired a moving truck from the whelpool depo, I received with only 3/4 tank fuel. After I finished using it, filled it right up to the top. Asked when I dropped it off if they where going to reimbursement me for the extra fuel. They said 'Nah your all good'. Bond also took 8 days/7 business day to come back to my account.

Hired Mitsubishi ASX SUV for 2 weeks. Very economical. Vehicle was very clean inside and out. Small paint chips but the consultant photographed all for record. Friendly efficient service and rental reasonably priced. Have used Northside rentals on all our trips to Perth over the last 12 years

the office at the conclusion of the rental at midday. They also didn't mind that the front of the car was covered in dead bugs. Wow, WA has a lot of suicidal bugs!! They were great when I called them to report a parking fine I incorrectly was issued with. I advised them I would be contesting it (which I did and succeeded) so they should not pay anything. They recorded it on my file, the lady I spoke to being very helpful and polite. Would happily rent from them again.

The MG 5 was a good car to drive, no complaints. My only issue, which I must admit was in the "small print and conditions" was that the car was paid for at collection, no issue, but was returned three (3) days early and their was no refund for the unused days of rental. This in my opinion, "small print" not withstanding, is unfair as the car is now available to be rehired which means "double dipping". Maybe next time I will book on a daily basis. Show details

. When we visit our daughter, we like to be mobile. To this end we have been renting cars from Northside in Greenwood every visit. The cars can be on the older side if you go for the cheapest option, but have never let us down. They are always clean and well presented with no defects. Hired a nice little but very basic Corolla. Good price but we were a bit shocked at the videoing of the car before we left. Bit obsessive for a car that’s done 100,000 kms. had to park in the driveway…and then I noticed the sign re not parking in the right place will incure a fine!!!! Wow. Not how I’d treat customers. A bit more respect and more parking at this busy place would be nice.
