card payment was smooth & this also covered any road tolls you pick up along the way (automatically paid from card) so we where on our way very quickly the car was in perfect condition was a pleasure to drive & very roomy I was worried it wouldn’t be big enough but it was more than big enough fitting 4 large suitcases and two small and backpacks plus 6 passengers and everyone was comfortable and had plenty of room! Just hooked up to CarPlay and everything was at our fingertips great sized screen to view maps. Was a great experience overall. We have hired multiple times from Cutprice car rentals and will definitely hire again when we come back! Thank you guys see you next time!

arrival at the airport were straightforward and the transport to the depot easy to find and access. We were impressed with the friendly driver who was most obliging lifting our bags in and out of the clean, modern shuttle. The depot was very close to the G.C. airport. At the depot, even though it was outside normal business hours, Emily was most efficient and our rental processed quickly. She took time to show us the details of the vehicle and was also friendly and obliging. The rental car was clean inside and out and in excellent condition. Within an hour of leaving the depot, we had locked our keys in the vehicle! We cannot fault the response to our predicament. Emily had finished work for the day but she had to find a duplicate key and travel ten minutes to open our car, all in her own time. She was very kind and understanding towards us and we thank Emily for her help which was above and beyond the call of duty! Overall, we were very impressed by Cut Price Car Rentals. The service was absolutely superb and we could not fault it; the car excellent and great value for money. We will certainly be using this rental company again.

Customer service not up to standard – On first setting up the agreement all seemed fine, they then said they would contact us closer to the date to sign the contract, they did not contact us, we had to chase them. not apply to us. After voicing my displeasure they reduced this to $300 and demanded we agree to it otherwise they would cancel the agreement a day before we were due to collect the vehicle. Having such short notice to make other plans we agreed and they sent over another contract to sign which simply included the additional amount but did not specify in the contract what it was for. Nowhere on the contract does it state this. What they also failed to mention on sending over the new contract was that they changed the model of car we originally selected in our first contract. Therefore we ended up with a car model that was completely useless for our needs. There was also some confusion around the navigation system we purchased. The majority of the customer service we received was poor and unprofessional. We registered our complaint over the phone with them and requested a callback to discuss this, no call ever came. We then sent an email relating our complaint which we did not receive a reply.

However on submitting this review I was contacted by a member of the complaints department ([Name Removed]) who was extremely helpful and resolved the issue. She was very responsive, took the time to listen and was apologetic of the service we had received, excellent customer service when dealing with her, due to this I decided to increase my review rating.

Easy to book and secure, competitive pricing and pick up drop off was a simple and quick process. Yes they are out of the airport terminal but if you can walk it about 8 minutes or take the free shuttle. Friendly service and no issues on our trip. Show details

After spending significant time on hold and providing all booking and payment details, I was assured the booking was confirmed. However, the company later requested further details by email without notice and cancelled the booking within an hour. As a result, we were left without a car. Overall, my experience with the company was disappointing.

STOP. BEWARE. If you have a breakdown they don’t have roadside assistance available. We were 200km from Gold Coast and 4 hours till our flight. Car wouldn’t go. requesting they contact us to discuss. Initially I should have been more aware when they didn’t answer the phone when we landed at the airport awaiting there pickup van. CUT PRICE IT IS. 2days later and Now they are threatening legal action if I put up a review.

quite a few scratches on the vehicle, but we took photos and a video at the car yard & our excess was returned to our card promptly. We have used Cut Price rentals for many years (since it was Ned Kelly Rentals)! and the experience has been consistently good

Very friendly and helpful during my first contact very helpful when I arrived at Gold Coast airport the car was clean and well prepared. I had a bit of trouble finding my way into the local service station to fill the vehicle before I returned it but pleasantly surprised that it used so little fuel. with the car seat i had ordered installed. No issues at all for the 10 days, on return we were rushing due to motorway traffic. The lady who received the car back so helpful and kind. Cut price gave us a great deal on a quality VF Holden Wagon, the car was clean and tidy and drove great. up to date software otherwise invest in CarPlay systems! Was very difficult trying to navigate intersections that had changed. Other than that our experience was great! Easy pickup and drop off.
