Good quality Fridge with excellent Customer service support – Compact, solid quality fridge for its size - 560L fridge for a footprint size most other manufacturers would only be able to fit in less than 500L. Compressor has inverter technology as well. Cost wise is a tad more than the other manufactured in China brands including F&P and Westinghouse and its made in Thailand but it is well worth the extra… Read more
cost after our experience below.
We would gladly choose Mitsubishi again especially after our recent encounter with Mitsubishi Electric's (ME) customer service. We had been using the fridge for over 2 months before we noticed a small crack on the interior surface of the fridge compartment next to one of the lower shelves before noticing a few other smaller cracks in similar areas next to the other shelves. We were a bit worried since it was more than month down from the delivery of our fridge we would have had trouble with claiming warranty. Our concerns were quickly diminished with the way ME handled our claim
Gave Appliances Online a quick call and we were referred to ME promptly.
ME sent out Daniel and Lawrence to have a look at the damage the week after our call. They asked a us a few questions about the fridge and put our minds at ease immediately, saying the damage was definitely not our fault as it would've taken a lot of force to cause those cracks from their experience. He immediately put in a warranty claim. A week later, we just had the new replacement fridge delivered by Daniel and Lawrence straight from ME and the whole process was done with minimal hassle or inconvenience.
Thank you Daniel and wonderful customer service from ME. You have a customer for life for your brand.
A very noisy fridge – A very noisy fridge, the high pitched sound on this thing is excruciating. Size is ok, but that's what you would expect from 560 litres. Shelves are actually quite small though considering the size, so it is more like a 450 litre fridge. The noise is just painful!! Show details
Brilliant fridge – We bought our MR 560 M-W-A over twenty years ago and 'she' is still going strong. We've never had to repair or replace any working components. Two internal shelves and two door pockets have cracked and fallen apart over the years and we can no longer source spare parts but we're determined to remain loyal to 'her' as long as she's prepared to keep… Read more
humming along quietly and keep our perishables fresh. If Mitsubishi make the modern day equivalent to the same standard as they did 20 odd years ago, we won't hesitate to get another when our old 'girl' finally gives up the ghost.
Great Fridge – We bought one of these in 2002 and it has worked great since then. The only thing I had to replace a few years ago is the fan that blows in cold to the freezer. Yesterday a major electrical surge came through and killed it dead unfortunately. It was time to replace rather than repair and I have chosen the same fridge. Show details
MR-560 – I brought a MR-560 in 2004 and it is still going as well as the day I bought it. I have never done anything but plug it into the wall. It has a very functional and flexible layout, good storage capacity and is easy to keep clean. I'm only looking at this site to see if they still make it, because if I ever have to replace it, it will be with the identical model. Show details
Excellent fridge – Very quiet fridge. I like the adjustable shelving which will enable, on the odd occasion, to store a tall cake on cake stand. Generous crisper which keeps veggies crisp and large freezer with 3 large ice cube trays and container to turn them into. The only negative is it is dimly lit which makes it hard to find things at night. Otherwise a good sound buy and value for money. Show details
Very good Fridge – I have bought this fridge for about 2 Weeks now and I am very happy with its performance. The Fridge design is very modern. There is very minimum Noise, the Fridge and Freezer is cold. ( I only set the controller to MID on both). The Vegetable and Fruits are very crisp and juicy and not soggy. I can't be happier and recommend it to other people to buy this fridge and the warranty is 5 years. Show details
Great value – Ive had this fridge for 2.5 years now, and it has functioned perfectly. I love the large size. I particularly like the separate freezer compartment which has been essential with a small baby and for freezing extra meals and stocking up on meat. It also runs very quietly. Great value compared to the more expensive french door fridges out there. Show details
THE BEST FRIDGE EVER!!! – This fridge is amazing!!! It offers so much space and is super quiet. I have also noticed a huge drop in my electricity bill since buying this fridge. It looks amazing also and really compliments my kitchen. The freezer space is also huge!!! I can fit so much in which is perfect for a family. Show details
Very quiet fridge – Bought this MR560E last year and been using it for 10 months now. It's so quiet that you won't hear a sound even when the compressor is running. We do the cleaning roughly once in three months time and it's a simple task since the shelves can be easily removed. The 178 litre Freezer Compartment is large enough to store the meat for a week. Very happy with it. Show details

First couple of years....then – We were very happy with this fridge for about 4 years then we started to have temperature control problems. We contacted the service agent and eventually he came and had a look, decided the seal was US. We contacted him about 3 months later as the seal hadn't arrived, he came nad had another look and decided it wasn't the seal. He placed a… Read more
monitor in the freezer for a week and then downloaded the information. The results showed the freezer temp varied from about -4 to -20. The drops down to -4 were "relatively" brief. According to Mitsubishi this was perfectly good.
Some days we have soft icecream and other days we have rock hard icecream, it really is a lottery. The ambient temperature makes no difference.
We are looking for an alternative that is large capacity like the Mitsubishi and fits in the same space.
