Great tool. Well thought out. Easy to use and easy to store – So nice to buy a tool that exceeded my expectations, but I should have known. All of my Makita tools work very well, even my dad's power planer (circa 1970). The trimmer is light and easy to hold and to guide. The adjustable head works perfectly. at the battery end and the unit simply hangs from a hook in the garage, out of the way and easy to get to.

I used it to prune a creeping fig and it sliced through 15mm green stems with ease. If you need to prune thicker or harder stems you might want to look at a more powerful unit.
