Good service. Very helpful. Supplied on demand. Delivered on time. Show details
After having an LG fridge for years without any issues, I decided to stick with this well known brand. After researching what was available, and the size of the cavity in my kitchen, I went with the GT-5S model in stainless steel finish. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and I feel this fridge is great value for money with a 10 year… Read more
warranty on the compressor. Other positives are, very quiet, glass shelves, nice modern appearance but one thing that stands out is it has special vents that direct cold air to the shelves on the door. This keeps your milk and other items nice and cold. It also has an "open door" alarm to remind you to shut the door. There are a couple of negatives which are, no light in the freezer, small ice cube tray that is difficult to pull out but the worst thing is, you have to completely open the fridge door to open the crisper tray. If you were limited for space, or had something on the right hand side of the fridge (a wall for example) it would be a real problem. Overall though, for a fridge that costs under $1000, I am very happy with it and still would recommend buying one if you need a good fridge at a reasonable price.
Delivered with a dent, useless customer service – If you are lucky enough to get a new fridge without a dent, you would have a good fridge. I am not, as many other customers. The delivery team unwrapped the fridge and we noticed a dent. Straight after I emailed the details to customer support, who is "throwing' me from one department to another. I was stupid when I was thinking that buying… Read more
directly from LG means excellent customer service. The worst one. Better buy from the dealers. Also expect buy a new fridge with a damage (like factory seconds) but for the full price.
LG GT 5S 375L top mount refrigerator – Excellent refrigerator which I highly recommend. Stylish and sturdy with ample room in fridge and freezer areas with moveable ice compartment. Great features and modern look. Cannot fault this fridge works really well all round and super quiet operation. Show details
Good old-style value, but time will tell re longevity – We've had this fridge for a week, and we are happy with it so far. In many ways this is a return to an older style of fridge with a minimum of added 'features' and accessories. Generally speaking, it suits us. What's to like.. 1 .. Maintains a constant (and perfectly cool) temperature throughout the whole fridge. 2 .. Build quality appears to be… Read more
very good. 3 .. Very quiet. 4 .. No compartments other than the bottom crisper. 5 .. Bright internal light. 6 .. Clear robust shelving and uncluttered layout makes for easy finding of items. 7 .. Adequate freezer, again with uncluttered layout and removable shelf and ice-maker. 8 .. 4 star energy rating.
And the cons .. 1 .. Maintains a constant (and perfectly cool) temperature throughout the whole fridge? We would have preferred at least a slightly warmer butter compartment. 2 .. Inset crisper handle is right at the bottom of the crisper rather than the top. You have to bend right down to near floor level to open the crisper. 3 .. It only has a 2 year warranty. I would have expected more from a reputable manufacturer, and we have an expectation that a fridge should last at least 10 years (just like older fridges). Time will tell, and I'll be sure to edit this review if it breaks down in the next few years.
