Home away from home – Purchased from Newcastle last year, have taken out several times and loving it. Living in Sydney, we have travel to Brisbane twice, Yackandandah, Cessnock, Wagga Wagga and Canberra. Apart from a leak in the roof, $150 to fix up during a service, we have not had any issues with our Swanny. The beds are comfortable, easy to set up (if you… Read more

silicone spray the bed runners) and easy roof wind up and wind down... although we just ordered the Jacka lift system to upgrade our home away from home...

Don’t waste your money – I honestly don’t know where to start I think I’ve emailed jayco about a dozen times regarding our not fit for purpose product still no communication from them you ring them they say we don’t deal with that you have to email . Our roof has been resealed 3 times fir the second time while on holidays where we had to pay for a cabin . The bag awning… Read more

broke . The door almost came off . The annex poles fill up with water. Solar panel Anderson plug not working . The bed is on a lean . Brackets for annex poles are bent . Both bed ends leak despite being in rain before and not leaking . Bag awning leaks . Guide ropes not usable skipping and fraying . Two good things are the microwave and fridge . The setup for a family of 6 is great but the quality is just terrible after paying over $37,000 I’d expect better .

Its a great upgrade from our tent. Easy to set up, plenty of room – Its a great camper, easy to set up. Lots of room. Havent taken it offroad as yet, but am looking forward to it. Would like a better annex awning as have already in the 6 mths of owning snapped 3 of the eyelets. A lot of cupboards but dont be fooled as they are being used to hide water tanks, pipes etc. Show details

Very poor quality camper – We payed $32000 and have had to fix so many things on the van. We are very lucky that my hubby is a handy man because there's no many things to list that have broken. How we can't whined it up so unhappy.

What can I say – Purchased our Jayco Swan new in May 2017 we did a couple of small trips to locations on made roads we were pretty happy at that stage only issue was the corner screw holding the canvas to the roof came out, which left a gaping hole until fixed. We have just returned from our trip through the Pilbara, the Kimberley’s and central Aust Out trip… Read more

along the Gibb River Road put the van through it’s paces what could go wrong you might ask, well a lot

Door lock snapped (cable ties to keep door closed from then on)

Spare wheel support bracket snapped (spare wheel had to be stored in the van)

Door roof support broken

Door screws came out

Door pop rivits snapped

Secured Microwave found in the middle of the van the screws ripped out

Microwave door broken due to coming out of secured location

Table locks come loose and table hit microwave and also damaged floor covering

Cupboard door locks don’t work

Kitchen sink mains water tap loose

Step into van doesn’t stay folded when driving

Electric brakes not working on left hand side

If I had my time again I wouldn’t waste my money on such an inferior product

The only thing that didn’t fall off was the stickers

Service may be worse than the quality – We have had our Swan Outback for just under 5 years. The silicon filler used in the roofs is clearly not up to standard as we have experienced major leaks twice in that time. Jayco refuse to return calls to discuss the issue so very little chance anything will change for newer versions.

Dissapointed – Purchased new in 2015, Before hand over the water tank had to be replaced, faulty. We could not use the Swan for a year owing to medical reasons, soon after the 12 mth warrantee, and on the second trip, the Gremlins hit. The pump tap was not installed properly, the main bolt holding it fell off, I had to fix this. Screws falling out of both… Read more

beds.

On the forward bed one of the bolt locations damaged the bench top, near the fridge, I had to move this to stop further damage.

Screws on the door frame fell out (overtightened at build)

This may have caused the door to be damaged when closing up.

Front boot had to be reset, leaked in rain.

Hydraulic ram in boot failing.

Just after this last trip, the cheap hand water pump tap snapped.

Some door closers stick.

It is a shame their quality control doesn't work either, The Swan is a nice van, very comfortable.

but all this small stuff is very annoying!

cracked roof – recently went to NT on some dirt highways with what you would expect corrugated but not heavy we were not happy with our swan when we picked it up from the dealer new in 2015 we had traded in our hawk 2009 we loved this but thought we would trade up to an outback version for better clearance on dirt roads behind the4wd anyway we were on the… Read more

Oodnadatta track when we first noticed one of the shockers on the camper had torn the strap we then cable tie this together to hold but further on we then lost the electric breaks the wiring had gone so we only had breaks on one side which later on also went wire pulled out ,the top of the door where attached to the roof with pop rivets broke off ,the microwave was only held in with 3 screws that we could find after it had come adrift we had the recall done on the winder before we left but this is still very clunky I don't like the sound of it at all the spare wheel bracket on the back also had cracked and lucky we stopped for a break as it was sitting on the bumper bar it could of been a lot worse we also experienced the roof cracking on all four corners this happened one by one not all at once and this was our main concern then we got into kings canyon we were greeted by a bloke from QLD he had a 2017 penquin 6 weeks old and low and behold had the same issues as us he came a different route than ours we got in touch with jayco on our return and pointed out our issues but of course our warranty had run out and yes we do accept that as they say in their warranty dirt roads not 4wd tracks but for a van that has only done 1 trip like this and only 2 years old really should not have these issues and all we got in a reply from jayco was take it to your nearest dealer to be fixed

Great time away at Wilsons Prom! – Arrived in middle of night. Nonetheless easy setup in the dark without having done this before. Took maybe 45 minutes overall, including parking the van. Our Swan from Jayco Mackay - – Received our Outback Swan in March 2017 - 3 trips away and love it immensely. We have had some Very Minor issues , drawers not unlocking , top of door locking mechanism screw broke , and the bed end screws slightly loose letting it be a bit sticky pushing bed back in. These things where rectified without any issue by Jayco Mackay. (they also… Read more

The 15 year old loves having a big bed for going away and the 7 year old loves her (dinette) bed. The wife loves the simplicity of the set up and pack away and NO fights have happened - Unlike the camper trailer experiences.

Thank you Jayco Mackay for making the purchase of the Swan very easy and pleasurable from start to delivery .

First camper trailer. Very Happy – We bought a 2009 Jayco swan a couple of weeks ago after having previously camped in tents. We took it for its maiden voyage last weekend and loved it. Prior to leaving we watched all the clips on YouTube from Jayco and others about how to set it up and pack it up, and this proved very helpful, especially the pack up procedure. Our van isn't new… Read more

so can't comment too much on build quality from new etc, but it has clearly been well looked after and we had no issues setting it up or camping in it, or packing it down. It has a bagged awning and bed ends, and as per the youtube clips, we undid the awning before winding the roof all the way up. I'm 6'2 and in the future we won't be doing this as it actually made things a bit more difficult, probably made worse by the fact we were in a bit of a hurry. Being tall, i can actually reach all the zips and velcro to be able to do the awning with the van fully up. It was the first thing to get packed up at the end of our camp and i was able to do it by myself, rolling it up, looping the velcro strap around and then doing up the bagged zips far enough to hold it all in,and then finished it off once the roof was lowered.

The push locks for the doors and drawers are a bit random however i like to work out how things work (esp when they aren't working) and was able to figure out how to fix them in a matter of seconds so no big deal. we have 2 or 3 spares ready to go when one starts playing up. They are only $7 to replace anyway, but its always satisfying to fix something yourself.

I tow the van with a FG Ford Falcon, and whilst you can feel it there, esp through hills, it does it easy enough averaging just under 14L/100km from adelaide to narracoorte and return.

As a family of 4 this van was great. It was a cold and wet weekend so we spent a fair bit of time inside and we never felt cramped. Lots of room to play games or just read etc.

Hopefully subsequent trips will be as hassle free as this first one. Worth noting also that although my wife helped to set the van up at the campground, I have done it single handed at home, so most blokes shouldn't have any issues.

I think the popularity of the Swan speaks for itself really.

Great well priced van – I have to admit that I was worried when we bought this van due to the variable reviews that you can read around the traps. But honestly for the money nothing comes close, so we bought a new one from Jayco Prestige. We have the outback version, which from my understanding has a beefier frame, and offroad suspension and tyres. Although you are… Read more

advised this is not suitable for real off roading, but ok on unsealed roads. Also comes with a deep cycle battery to run lights off when not plugged in.

We included the bag ends for the beds, and the bag awning, roof racks, radio and sunshade for the non awning side.

The van tows very well, and feels very stable behind the vehicle. We have two children (13&10) and they are happy to top and tail in the double bed at the moment. We are on the queen bed with the updated inner spring mattress. You will need a topper for this, as in my opinion it is too uncomfortable without.

Overall the van has been great, and the two seating areas in the Swan are a bonus. The fridge, microwave and cook top all work as they should. Although the microwave can be difficult to use as it is basically on the floor.

The bed end awnings are a must for two reasons. They allow set up and pack up in the rain, as they protect the tent part of the van. Otherwise, you would make the beds wet when you fold the canvas away. Secondly, in really cold conditions, they stop condensation. We were talked out of the roll out awning, and went for the bagged awning. This works well, but is much harder to put up. However, the walls zip onto this much better, and it creates a great extra room. So after 10 months of ownership, and 7 trips away what issues have we had? Nothing major at all. Some of the drawer catches stick or won't close. They eventually do, but you have to keep pushing at then. And the awning developed a leak were it connects to the van. I discussed this with Jayco, and they said just apply a little silicon where to bag awning slides in. Haven't done this yet. Apart from those few small niggles we are very happy, and really look forward to going away.

Top of the range but don't look too close – An August delivery 2016 Jayco Swan Outback. After the major recall you would expect to see improvements in the build quality. Not so. on. Don't be mislead by appearances. These units are a mass of very cheap components and in some areas inappropriate components. As the market leader expected a lot more from Jayco. No wonder the deal was so good.

Update ... top of door disconnected from roof with cheap aluminium pop rivers instead of steel, tyre wearing unevenly on one wheel ... balance issue not fixable, fridge fixed under warranty, roof corners splitting and fixed under warranty, multiple services for roof raising mechanism, bolts bending on bed slide, door lock an ongoing issue till it broke completely.

Survived Great Central Road with flying colours – I have just dragged my Swan Outback across the longest badly corrugated/washed-out road in Australia - "The Great Central Road" (and back - 2200km). The stone guard for the water tank is pretty trashed, but its sacrificial. No damage, no dust ingress - no dust on the canvas, on the beds etc. In my mind, the reports I've read that state that… Read more

these camper trailers are no more robust than a caravan are completely dispelled - don't believe it. The "worst" that happened was that a kitchen drawer opened. Thankfully none of the tea-towels fell out and my wife just made sure it was shut and locked properly next time. A few hints: tape your vents up with masking tape every day on the dirt road (and obviously take the tape off when you set up for the night). Don't exceed 60km/hr on rough sections where washouts and dips can catch you by surprise. Don't overload it, don't store anything on the floor when travelling (we have a roof pod that holds chairs and other bulky but lights bits), and put a stone deflector on the drawbar. Jayco, these should come with stone deflectors as standard. Warranty items are minimal: corner of laminex near stove is lifting a little. Otherwise, couldn't be happier.

Love the Swan but the build quality is poor – We bought a new 2015 Jayco Swan Touring with the under slung axle. door hinges will have to stay permanently bent (works fine, just looks a little crooked). I expect that we will have dust problems when we do more kilometres on dirt roads We have had screws come loose and one of the ceiling corner mouldings fell off as a result. We also have a minor water leak in one corner. As we wind up the roof it makes a worrying clunk and the front struts bend to the left when fully erected, so we will see what Jayco's response is when it goes in for another warranty visit. Also, the door doesn't stay in position when we are travelling, which requires replacement fasteners, a simple fix but it shouldn't be necessary.

It appears that Jayco's QC is based on consumers using their warranty rather than proactive quality control management. Pity. Luckily, most things are easily fixed.

Great value for money and very comfortable – We purchased our Jayco Swan Outback (with just about all the extras) in March 2016 and my wife, 2 kids and myself spent the next week in it testing it out. It showered most nights with no leaks, which was a relief because water leaks were one of my biggest fears. The bench top above the fridge got quite hot which was/is a bit of a concern, but… Read more

Jayco Mackay have since installed some insulation under the bench top which has reduced the heat some what. I may have to possibly look into a fan to get some air circulating?

There were a couple of other little things that needed fixing at the end of the first trip, but when I told Jayco Mackay about it they got us to drop it off and they had the issues fixed that week.

We have since gone away for Easter without any further problems and once again the family loved the camper.

We also purchased the full annexe with the Fiamma awning, so for a family of 4 there is plenty of room both inside and out.

I have heard and read plenty of negative stories about issues and the finish of Jayco products and I was a bit apprehensive to start with, but the "bang for your buck" factor was just too good to go anywhere else and so far we are very happy with the purchase.

I cannot speak more highly of the team at Jayco Mackay. The whole process of buying the Swan from start to finish was made very easy and the after sale support thus far has been excellent.

Here's hoping the good experiences keep going!!

You would be better off with a Chinese product – We bought our Swan Outback new in July 2015. It has done more trips to the repair shop then camping trips. To say the build quality is appalling would be an under statement. On 1st use the front bed roller collapsed into the body somewhere, the front boot flew open due to striker plate being fitted in completely wrong position. Waste hose for… Read more

sink was kinked due to poor fitting. Then when it got dark we had no lights. This was caused by poor crimp connections in roof safety switch. The speakers for sound system were incorrectly wired so when you fade to internal or external you have sound inside & out all the time. 2nd time out we ran out of water as one of the 2 water tank level sensors always reads full. Lucky we were not in a remote area. Only one of the wheels has a functioning brake. The design is questionable. If it rains and your pillows or bedding are touching the lower canvas stitching, you will have a wet bed. If you have to pack up a wet camper your bed will get wet. The bag awning is a crap to pack away on your own, even with 2 people it's a struggle. The "now standard" inner spring mattress has no padding. You need to buy foam overlay if you want to sleep without springs digging into your hips. Jayco products are built to a budget, are very cheap one. They have next to no quality control processes that are evident to me. The caravan and camping shows promote Australian built campers and avoid poor quality Chinese products. Not sure if Jayco has moved from Melbourne to Shanghai yet.....

I will never buy a Jayco product again. I do not recommend their product, but if you must have one, buy a 2nd hand one where someone else has gone through all the headaches of fixing manufacturing issues. Mine's for sale!

2015 Swan Outback – Besides some niggly little issues, this camper has been terrific. everything has its place and there is a place for everything. We have a TV with DVD player and we swore that we would not let the kids watch TV whilst camping but when you need 30 minutes or an hour to get something done, the TV is a blessing. One recent trip there was a major storm blowing outside but we felt very safe and secure inside our van and were able to make a cup of tea whilst the kids enjoyed a movie and then because the storm was still blowing during dinner time, we were able to make dinner on the stove and serve it up on the dinette table without a trouble in the world.

I am 6 foot 1 inch and when I lay flat on my back, my feet touch the canvas walls of the bed ends so it might be an issue for anyone taller than me if you sleep on your back.

Before we made our purchase we were a little worried as we read some very negative reviews but we talked to a lot of people who own Jayco vans and camper trailers and they were very happy so we plunged ahead with the purchase. If you let the little niggles bother you then it probably won't matter what you get as just about every new camper is going to have some little issues to sort out. There is the occasional unfortunate person who ends up getting a van with a build fault but based on all of our discussions with people with Jayco's, I think they are few and far between and we can be thankful that we weren't one of the unlucky few.

We are very happy with our purchase, our kids love it and so do we. I am already building my own pole and annex wall storage box to sit under the front boot of the Swan which will give us even more room to pack things so we couldn't be happier.

Hasty Decision – It is comfortable and spacious with most of the features you would expect. The finish and the quality of some of the latches and accessories is average. with promises of exceptional after-sale service and a great warranty. Drove off to Central Australia for the first trip.

The water drain pipe from the sink was kinked so the water would not flow out. I pushed a small piece of UPVC plastic pipe over the hose to fix it thanks to the help of the Mitre 10 people in Renmark.

Being totally new to this I did not realise I needed towing mirrors. No advice from the dealer. I purchased a set in Alice Springs. Up until this point, I was relying on the shadows that appeared on my car mirrors to identify vehicles that were behind me.

At Kings Canyon, one of the trailer breaks failed. I drove without trailer breaks to Alice Springs. Contacted the dealer who informed me that the list of service agents was with the handbook which it wasn't. They told me to ring them up at any time if I had the slightest problem or query and when I did so they fobbed me off. I rang the roadside assist number and it took them 2 hours to find someone who would fix it. The repair place said they were no longer Jayco service agents however they did look at it. $250 which I had to pay. After 2 hours, I picked it up and drove 1m when the break locked up. After about another 2 hours, they replaced the break magnet and it worked. The repairer also claimed there was no grease in the wheel bearings and the break magnet had been incorrectly installed. The dealer did refund me the $250.

The main long-term concern I have is that the door does not fit properly. The gap between the door and the jamb where the latch is located is about 3 times the gap at the top and bottom of the door. As a result the door comes open in the middle of the night.

Returning to where I purchased this new camper trailer I requested this to be rectified. I picked it up this morning after leaving it there for 7 weeks. (I let them keep it for as long as necessary as I was not going to be using it.) They have bent the hinges in to reduce the gap in order to stop the door from popping open. Now the hinges are bent and the door still is not fixed.

I am worried that this will not be fixed correctly and that I am going to be stuck with it. I think that it is faulty manufacturing and I overlooked it when I picked up the trailer.

The griller on the stove takes about 10 minutes to cook a piece of toast. The dealers response was "they're all like that on all of the trailers".

I am starting to think that I was to hasty in purchasing the swan and like another reviewer stated. If I could sell it back to them for what I paid for it I would.

Perfect for our needs – We have been on the road for 10 weeks in our 2015 Outback. The main requirement for me was strength and suspension. gone where trailor- tent set ups would be wary. My wife and I both snore so the double and queen pull out beds are perfect.the all terrain tyres are great so long as you adjust pressure to circumstances . Things that went wrong and right. 3 way fridge great just don' think of running it on the vans battery- flat in 3 hours. All gas appliances worked fine.

Now for the negatives.

The manual is totally inadequate.

The light insert is just behind the sink and water splashes in to the socket- needs to be relocated.

The beds need two people to pull out, needs smoother rollers.

The door latch is plastic and ours broke off - should be metal

A lot of dust gets inside the van- better dust sealing all round is required.

For some reason the BBQ gas socket is under the van. You need to crawl under on your back. It"s also requires abnormal upward pressre to lock on socket.

My wife is average height and can't reach the skylight opener. Not suited to short people.

The sound system is about 20 centre metres from the floor- need to get down on your knees to adjust

We had leaks from both water tank hose fittings and from the actual tap fittings

If fitting a stone guard to front of van insure it doesn't stop the jockey wheel winder handle.

Final good things.

Air con heater is fantastic and not too noisy for neighbours.

Definitely get the Fiamma awning or similar.

Great clearance.

Hints for first time users

By a strong drill To lower and raise stabilisation legs and roof. Jayco no longer have An electric raising winch it will take a welder 10 minutes to adapt the raising fittings for a drll- so worth it when setting or down in hot weather.

We have an auxiliary fridge in the car which works off the car battery when travelling and 240 volt lead from vans twin 240 volt outlet plugs.

It takes us about 45 minutes to set up or down. Mainly stacking everything below lowered roof level

Gear back up service support over phone or agents.

Highly recommend this van if you want to do some off-roading.

Jayco Outback Swan 2014 – First time buyer of a van. Bought new Jayco. Poor sales advice on tow ball weights. So car upgrade necessary after taking camper from shop. Actually drove from shop unaware I was illegally over weight on the tow ball. Ok upgrade car.. Using the camper, it's ok in layout. Note plywood is flimsy under seats with hinges popping out (all rivets).… Read more

need to replace all with bolts and washers. The door pops open several times a night due to flex in the frame with the beds pulled out. Roll over in bed and the door springs open, it's infuriating. Been back to Jayco for this, they raised the catch for the door lock, worked for a few days but back to the popping doors again. Waiting now for a return call (second call we've made, and now second time we've been promised they'll call back now; they haven't).

Reading a few reviews here it seems doors are a real problem on these things. We'll have to hitch it up and drive 30ks to Heatherbrae to get door sorted again.

One of the drawers is crooked on the face, minor but not right for brand new at all.

The hose fitting to extra tap requires regular retensioning or starts to leak.

The water supply to van leaks where hose attaches to van. Replaced 'o' ring on Jayco service guys advice (when in for door fix first time, they had no 'o' rings in stock to sort out) Slowed the drips but still leaking.

When closing the van the roof doesn't settle flat on the chassis of the van, so someone has to push the roof from the side to get roof over door frame (otherwise it can't be locked down) I think the whole things crooked and getting worse somehow, and I'm anticipating real post warranty nightmares.

If Jayco offered to buy it back for what I payed I'd sell back it in an instant.

Good – Bought our Swan Outback when it was 9 months old. Still had the stickers on the mudflaps. No dramas at all. The whole family love it. We came from one of those camper tents and think this is the Hilton on wheel !! Set-up is quick and my 4, 6 and 7 year old can help out too. The Outback version gives good ground clearance and plenty of room under… Read more

the bed to stash bikes etc at night.... it also means I can get to the front boot without banging my head. Quick setup. Handles well on the road. Looks great. Stacks of space and storage. No problems really. Some small screws on the outside are getting rusty. Will replace these. No dramas. Cant beleieve so many people are so unhappy. Sort of worries me about an upgrade to an Expanda. C'mon Jayco why are there so many unhappy people ??

OK – Our advice is if we were not on a budget, we would spend the extra money and not buy another camper like the Swan, or a Jayco for this matter, as our friends have had the same problems and others. The local service is quality, although we do not like waiting for the service being local when we have holidays booked with the kids and take a lower… Read more

priority- bread and butter guys...These other people will not come back!! But we have to!! Overall, if you want to buy a cheap camper with all the mod cons go for it, but do not expect the quality in the unit itself or the quick fix of warranty repairs and beyond. With the rate of camper trailers being sold, the dealers and warranty repairs cannot keep up with the problems. Our advice is to buy a second hand Coromal which has nearly the Same layout as the Swan, or save up for a pop top we purchased the Jayco 2007 Swan between two families and from the day we received it we were happy until it went on longer trips- say 4-6 hours In the first 12 months the drawers fail/ed to stay locked. The roof bubbled. The butterfly clip that holds the door fell completely out, and there were glue marks on the floor. All these problems were dealt with under warranty by the Gawler SA branch, but dont expect quick service if you are remotely local. The travellers come first so make sure you are not booked to go on a long holiday like we were, as you will be told the same thing-you just have to wait. We have now recently returned from a blustery two days at the beachfront at West Beach in Adelaide and the annexe was torn off by the small screws that held the main sail in, which bent all the poles and ruined the kit. We have also lost the blocks from this weather that keep the camper straight and had the queen bed end torn as a result of the storm we were in. There is now water that came in from the floor near / under where the power fuse is located. I guess this is the start of the next lot of problems

This sounds more to do with the weather than anything to do with your Jayco Build Quality

Excellent – have had jayco swan for two years since new, and just been to qldcaravan show and didn't see anything better in its range.great value and they seem to keep their value too. Very roomy compared to usual caravans-warm in winter cool in summer-like the "Swan" tows easily, once you are used to the putting up and down no trouble at all nothing really, sometimes putting the window back up on ceiling tends to be annoying.

Excellent – We are more than happy with it, we used to do a lot of camping in tents and our Swan camper is perfect, we have 2 young children, so we get a Queen bed, and our children get a double bed between them, good comfortable sleep, and with an annexe there is enough room to move around. They can be a little cramped with the whole family in there, but… Read more

heck...it's a camper. If you are thinking of one, go get one, you won't be disappointed. We purchased a Jayco Swan Camper 2004 model in 2005, been ali frame and lightweight (total weight around 1100kg) it is perfect to tow. I have a Landcruiser and don't even know its there. Easy to set up, about 30min all up Storage space is a problem for clothes, as it is a fold down camper you have to appreciate there are no overhead lockers so it's all ground storage. We find the wardrobe cupboard and what storage is available not a lot for a family. So yes, you have a suitcase in there as well. Cold nights cause condensation on the inside of the canvas over your beds, so you do get dripped on, but this only happened once during a cold spell. These campers are great spring / summer and Autum - all Jayco keys are the same, so security isn't that great, but if someone wanted to get in it's only canvas..

Good – We love our Swan, we looked at new and used we looked at different brands and different models including the Flamingo. But we kept coming back to the Swan. It's great to tow, looks smart and modern and has everything you would want in a good value package. It's not the best on the market but it's the best all round as far as value, inclusions,… Read more

space, functionality and ease of towing. Just remember "It's for holdidays and fun, not something to live in all year long"

If you buy at the right price you can put the money you have saved towards extras like fold down cupboards for the annex (no storage issues for us). We purchased a second hand 2007 Jayco Swan Camper in 2009. It had been used 4 times, even still smelt new. We looked at traditional vans and pop tops. We found the Swan had the most open feel about it and the best use of space. The Swan has everything we wanted and was optioned up with bag flys over the beds and annex and an awning over the kitchen. It tows very well behind our V8 Calais. A quick glance in the rear view reminds us it's still there. Build quality is not in BMW territory but hey we use it for holidays not to live in all year. Setting up the full annex, awnings and bag flys does take a while but its all part of the fun.

Excellent – Pur family purcahsed a Jayco Swan in 2008. It was the best thing we ever did. Upgrading from a canvas camper trailer with no modern perks the Jayco camper trailer is a dream. We have the convenience of an inbuilt fridge/freezer, electric/gas stove, two double beds also with the convenience of a bed for children on the folding down table top. … Read more ·  2

As we ordered the trailer we could choose our own design of the interior fabrics and colours. This camper is a mansion and I would not change it for anything. Parents up one end children down the other... We have had an annexe built on the side of it which gives us the feeling of an extra room...

Towing of this trailer is a dream. It is very lightweight and rides evenly on the road. We have the offroad version of the Swan and have taken it everywhere. Fantastic on the beach, going through water, on the open road, highways, mountainess terrain and dirt tracks/roads. Jayco even threw in a stone guard along the front of the trailer which stops it from chipping and becoming dirty with mud. We havent had to replace it but apparently these rock guards are replaceable...

Over Christmas we took the camper away down su=outh through the inland road from brisbane to Bathurst (floods and all) it was fantastic! Not one leak... Not one hiccup! The trip wa sso good we are already getting ready to go away Easter weekend.

Overall this one gets a 5/5 top rating!!! FANTASTIC WILL NEVER LOOK BACK! Very compact and easy to tow. Rides well on the road and very lightweight. Fantastic modern interior easy access. Fantastic idea of electric and gas stove. For a family it is not very private if you have others in there with you. However other than that cannot fault it.
