Spin only cycle on Haier top loader – The Haier does have a spin only function!..but it's not mentioned in the manual. Select your preferred program (my favourite is the express 30). Then press the PROGRESS button. You will see three lights above the progress button..Wash..Rinse..Spin and initially all three lights will be on. As you press the progress button the lights will go off… Read more

until only the Spin light is on...HEY PRESTO!..you now have a spin only cycle...press start and you're good to go.

Poor quality product – Had this machine 15 months and already broken down. Washing always was a tangled mess don't buy this! Cycle times are long and doesn't wash work clothes 3 rinses to clean. Show details

Not worth a star – Would never recommend or purchase again. Spins out of balance even with 2 towels and a bath mat. And clothes are always in a tangled mess. warning to all prospective buyers DONT EVEN BE TEMPTED TO BUY. It’s located near a glass sliding door and one day I expect to see the machine has rattled its way to break the glass. Useless - my first wringer washing machine was better than this. Show details

Always goes out of balance – This is the worst washer I have owned! Always goes out of balance, you can not put a load on & leave the house, it would walk out the door. Even small loads go out of balance. Have just attempted towels, what a nightmare! Only positive is it looks nice. I have had this machine for 12 months & I will be replacing it. I wont even try & sell it as I could not do that to some unsuspecting buyer. Show details

Not quite perfect – Overall I am very happy with the machine and consider it was good value for money. As my last machine didn't have an agitator I specifically looked for a new one without one as I was extremely happy with this feature of my last machine. However, the Haier tends to tangle the clothes way more than the last machine, so this is rather… Read more

disappointing. By comparison to my last machine, it is much quieter which I was hoping for as the last machine was a real clunker. As others have mentioned, the lid is heavy - make sure you push it right back, because you WILL say 'ouch' when it hits you on the head !! I also cannot remove the detergent/softener dispenser section making it very awkward to clean. I have been fortunate and have only had a few imbalance issues - but for most loads I do tend to increase the water level as I like my entire load to be submerged in water, so perhaps that helps. I know that defeats the idea of these new water saving machines, but old habits die hard :-)

All in all I would definitely recommend this machine for any one looking for a machine capable of doing large loads

Not the best machine I have had – I am on second one as other had issues like getting out balance and clothes coming out so wet u had wring them by hand, this new one has few issues to, still gets out balance but not as bad, soap dispenser fills with water and it can’t get out so u have to empty it for next wash  Show details

Extremely happy – Bought this in a rush with 2 other products because budget was my focus. I love there is no agitator and the water level sending function is spot on. I use the progress function to do extra spinning of towels. The powder dispenser saves on powder. The machine had a great solid lid and the filters work so well and are easy to clean. I can put big… Read more

loads in but don't fill to 8kg capacity because I want the machine you last forever. I do about 25 loads a week of linen for holiday cottages and it's performing very well. I only have a few imbalance issues and after rearranging, stop the cycle and use the progress function to set it straight on spin cycle bypassing the automatic reset to rinse cycle again. So happy with it. Now you know how to use it, buy it!

Beware it’s a nightmare !! – the most frustrating washing machine of my washing life I have ever owned! Seriously drives me up the wall, it’s useless it won’t ever spin a load out without reverting back to the previous setting, nearly throws itself out of the laundry, when it attempts to spin it’s so loud and clunky I feel it’s going to fall apart, I have cried & swore a lot,… Read more

it seriously will drive you to drink!

I have had it leveled properly. Apart from ratchet strapping it down I think I will hurl it to the tip as I can’t even give it away knowing that I could mentally injure someone with it..

Very disappointed with this machine . Wouldn’t recommend it – Doesn’t spin dry enough - even 7 minutes for towels does not leave them dry enough. Cannot add extra time when you take out garments and find they are not dry enough. Doesn’t rinse well - need a minimum of 3 rinses for every load. I wish I had not bought a Haier machine. Cannot bypass any step in any program. Often do hand washing and now I cannot just spin them- have to choose a cycle.  Show details

Disgraceful – Worse buy of a washing machine ever - will be using all the reviews to get my money back - I can’t believe this machine ever passed QC - After having a F&P that never failed in 11 years this is just terribly frustrating- I guess you get what you pay for - special price - turned out to be special alright !!  Show details

Spinning Nightmare! – We purchased the washing machine from Harvey Norman on the 5/3/18. When the washer goes into spin mode, we have to pause it & re-balance the load, else the machine is likely to rock right out the door! We have used a spirit level to ensure the machine is balanced correctly. Even though it is supposed to be an 8kg washer, we have tried with smaller… Read more

loads! We have tried the different settings for specific loads e.g. towels in towel mode etc, nothing we have tried makes a difference to the rocking of the machine when it is in the spin cycle. It is a shame, as other than the spinning calamity, the machine is neat, quiet & washes efficiently. We have better things to do with our time than to sit by the machine & re-balance it every time we wash! Not Happy Haier Customers!

A little frustrating – The machine washes the clothes well but does not spin well enough as clothes too wet to put in drier. The most annoying feature that towels get out of alignment when spinning and this is with only three towels - the progess button pressed to spin will begin and override the progress  Show details

Was: caution! now: Just DON'T! – First impressions: Bad! less than a week old, already an electrical fault!; technician scheduled to come out and inspect. User manual is terrible...no thought or care taken. If i had looked over or been able to download the manual before purchasing, i would not have purchased; already it seems indicative of the machine. Have had to check water… Read more

levels too but this is my first pulsating machine, so still learning. Time will tell. [UPDATE: DEC 2017...unexplained cut outs, auto sensor fail, chronic unbalancing issues...2 stars initially dropped to 1]
