the options to select are "this week" "last week" "this month" "last month" "this year" - I'd much prefer to either be able to put in a date range or be able to select "April" or "March".
Customer support has been really helpful when I needed help one time. Otherwise it's so straightforward I haven't needed support.
When I got a new phone and forgot to connect it, the device stored 3 weeks worth of data, which was amazing, I was a bit worried I'd have lost it all.
A huge win for running my business - the fees are reasonable considering all the paperwork it cuts out. It generates an ATO logbook so quickly!
I don't use the ray device as well, my car tells me about my fuel consumption and I didn't feel the need for more data to consider.

always been accurate in my experience and has a straightforward process to generate ATO-approved reports for taxation purposes.
Quite literally, my only complaint was that there was no option to export a trip overlaid on a map (i.e. a visual representation of a trip on top of a map); though the GPS coordinates are exported in the reports mentioned above, and you can view your trips overlaid on a map from within the GOFAR application.
I don't use GOFAR anymore - even though I need its functionality more than ever in my current role, as a real estate agent - because at this time, GOFAR does not support electric vehicles ("EVs") at all... And this is especially frustrating, because none of the countless alternatives that I have looked at have come even close to the experience I have had with GOFAR in the past.
But if you drive an internal combustion engine ("ICE") vehicle - that is one using petrol or diesel / distillate - I simply cannot recommend GOFAR highly enough for anybody that needs to track mileage for business or employment reasons.
There is no comparison to GOFAR, when it comes to tracking mileage.

Brilliant. Just saved me a fortune! – Last financial year I was only able to claim the max of 5,000 work kms on my tax return as I’m hopeless keeping a log book. business trips with just one swipe, and when I’m looking back over the details and wondering where on earth I’d gone or why I stopped in a particular suburb, I can just zoom in on the map and there it all is laid out for me. Why did it take me so long to get home that day? Oh yeah, I’d forgotten I’d nipped into the neighbour’s place on the way home and left the car running while chatting in the driveway, but the map shows it all. Recently I thought my GoFar wasn’t working as my trips weren’t showing up on my phone app, so I exported the data to see what showed up, and there it all was in full detail! I realised I had the date selection in the app set to a custom date range instead of current. This is honestly the best purchase I’ve made in the last couple of years. (I only purchased the dongle with app, not the ray.) If you use your car for work, I highly recommend it.

GOFAR does go far indeed – I’ve been a regular GOFAR user for the last 6 years and bought the product for its many advertised features but ended up using only half of them. a business user so am only using it to monitor my fuel consumption as I like hypermiling. Today my current daily drive is a Toyota Kluger Hybrid and it still does the same job very well. I recently encountered some erroneous braking readings so contacted GOFAR support which they responded within 4 days. Turns out that it was most probably due to a recent service which was carried out on the vehicle. Would I recommend GOFAR? Definitely! It’s still working fine and does the monitoring from previously traditional ICE vehicles, and now to a Hybrid electric vehicle. And their tech support is still very helpful after all these years. Well done GOFAR and please keep up the good work.

After looking into it, this thing not only live monitors your vehicle petrol use to your phone, but it logs your whole trip from the time the car is turned on til its turned off and lets you tag them with specific categories like "Business" which is exactly what we needed. So we don't need to worry about logging anything. We mark the trips she makes with Business and select the method we need for claiming at Tax time and then do an export.
I was lucky that when I ordered mine they were offering free shipping for the adapter only it was $99 AUD shipped to our door and arrived in 3 days. We were even luckier when I opened it and found that it also included the Ray device which is what shows you visually when you are either accelerating or braking too hard and burning fuel.
When I contacted them to tell them of the mistake they told me that they didn't have any adapter only packs left so they simply sent the upgrade at no extra charge. Cannot argue with that.
It took about 5 minutes to install and setup and another 10 minutes of driving around to calibrate it and it was done.

Not accurate and no support – Fuel burn is way out and on the highest selling vehicle in market should not be the case. Makes it difficult to submit claims to as the calculations are way under, have to then calculate correctly and explain to company why there is a difference. costumer base since the early adopters, this should be unnecessary - unless their business modelling was incompetent. They have merely used the financing of early adopters to grow, and then reneged on the company's promise when they decided they no longer needed the early adopters as customers. This is pure greed. A company with any ethics would stand by the promises they made to those who financed their ability to succeed. They have made it clear that nothing they say can be trusted.

Due to my own fault, Gofar wasn't logging my trips on my phone. My email was answered promptly and now everything is working again. Great product. Works great if you don't accidently turn things off. Lol

Really quick product support response, and the GoFar device and software are excellent. It eliminates a lot of the hassle associated with logging business-related mileage for tax purposes.
I have used my Gofar device for 4 years now. Due to my own fault my device wasnt working as it should, I reached out to support and they provided amazing assistance and responded very quickly. I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting to track your klms for taxation purposes, or any of the other possible uses.

Gofar would not send the ATO reports needed for EOFY. Gofar support were quick to respond to my email and followed through until the issue was resolved to my satisfaction.
