I had accidentally signed up for utilities and asked them to cancel it for me. I didnt even get to finish and the Filipino lady sounded annoyed and hung up. Very rude when they realise they're not getting money from me.

I have been using Finder to get the best deals for my home internet, electricity and gas for the past 4-5 years. Finder never fails to find me the best deals. There were times when the previous provider counter offered the deals so I remained with them but Finder is fine with that. They would then call me 12 months later to offer more deals. Show reply

and likely multiple laws around unsolicited communications and misuse of personal data. How did they even get my number? There is NO legitimate way this could have happened without Finder harvesting my information behind the scenes and selling it or passing it around without my knowledge.

This is exactly the kind of predatory data abuse that regulators warn about. Finder.com.au is clearly operating without regard for basic privacy rights. Imagine a company that snoops on your browsing activity, digs out your phone number, and then has the audacity to cold-call you in your own home at night. That is harassment, plain and simple.
